IPad 2 RGB and WiFi conflict

I have an iPad 2 which connects to the TV (via the RGB lead) fine. However, as soon as I connect the lead, I loose WiFi! Any ideas? Thanks.

I think I now understand what's going on.
I have only the iPad 1 but I got the same problem.
Let me tell you what happened. I changed my ISP and with this came a new router model. Immediatly I could see problems with my iGadgets to get a wifi stable connection. They could detect the network, they were strong signals, but they kept being unavailable to reach out for the internet, navigate in connected apps, etc.
They were all running iOS4.2
then I changed my routers settings and put a mixed b/g/n connection. And all the problems were gone.
then iOS4.3. came and the problems started again.
What I found very strange was that neither before or after the iOS update I ever had any problems with my wifi connection at the office (by coincidence the same ISP I previously had at home).
So, when I updated my iPad and iPhone to iOS 4.3, even with b/g/n wifi settings I was back to the wifi problems. Right now, I can't be more than 5 minutes connected to the internet.
so, fortuately I didn't updated my gf's iPhone. And she's still on 4.2. Guess what? she doesn't have any wifi problems. This lead me to one conclusion: the problem is iOS4.3
But how to explain that iOS4.3. works flawlessly at the office and gives so much trouble at home? I think that this is due to the routers. So, iOS 4.3 is haveing severe problems with wifi connections with certain router brands.
That's why some people complain but not all.
I have a Thompson TG784 at the office and it works OK
At home it's a Hitron BVW-3653
I hope apple can reproduce the problem and quickly fix it for iOS4.3.1

It should be an iPad 4 if you bought it direct from Apple (though that will depend upon what country that you are in as it hasn't been released in all yet). What type of connector does it have ? IPad with cellular and wifi and a cheap end laptop or just a MacBook Pro/Air?

Hi guys
I'm a first year studying dentistry and my current laptop(Dell XPS M1530) have crashed so I'm looking at purchasing a new laptop.
It has lasted 5 years and looking for something to take me another 5 years. I hear the iPad is selling faster than the macs.
I have two options:
Option 1: an iPad with cellular and a cheap laptop to run the iPad as it is very dependent on iTunes
Option 2: a MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air
I currently have an iPhone 5
I mainly browse the Internet, type documents, download music and watch movies
Which option should I go for and why should I go for that option?

I do not think a tablet should take the place of a laptop. They are convenient and fun, but as you prepare documents, I think a Macbook Pro would be a better choice. Typing on a tablet is not as capable on a tablet. The Macbook Pro could be expected to last longer than a cheap laptop and you could always add a tablet later if you want one.

I'll ask again, what do you mean you tried to "remove the 3G Module"? Are you just talking about the SIM card? or did you physically open the device and attempt to extract the cellular radio chip from the iPad?
If just the SIM, then this is normal behavior. It doesn't even need to be a working SIM so long as you have WiFi. But it is necessary to activate the iPad.

Not necessarily, if you are using Facetime all the data goes through your WiFi router, your cable/DSL modem, your ISP and the internet to Apple's Facetime servers and then, in reverse, down to the Facetime recipient. The amount of storage that is shown on the box and in Settings are calculated differently - the package uses 1 billion bytes as a gig (i.e. decimal), whereas in Settings it's shown as the binary definition : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2419
Also some space has been used for iOS, the built-in app and some space is lost due to formatting.

You don't transfer Apple ID's from one device to another one. You sign out in the settings, )the App Store and iTunes if necessary) and then sign in with the other ID.
Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Apple ID>Sign out. Them sign in with the other ID. You can sign out of the app store and iTunes as well by going to the featured Atab in the App Store and the music tab in iTunes, swipe to the bottom and access the Apple ID in there.
You should have erased the iOad before you gave it to her in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings. That way she could set up the iPad as new with her own Apple ID.
Be aware of the fact that if you use each others ID's in order to download past purchased content to your own iPads, you will lock yourself out of your own ID as you will have associated your iPad with the other person's Apple ID.
In other words, if you sign into your wife's ID on your iPad so that you can download an app or an album so that you don't have to pay for it again, you will lock yourself out of your Apple ID for 90 days.

My iPad is connected to wifi,but every several minutes later,I just can not connect to webpage,then I have to shut off iPad and turn it on again,and several minutes later the same thing happens again,how can I deal with this?

Is it the same webpage everytime? And is it exactly 6 minutes?
If you have control over the modem and wifi router, i.e. your personal router in your home, I would powercycle your modem and router and see what happens.
1. unplug the wifi router's power cord
2. unplug the modem's power cord
3. wait 10 - 15 seconds (I usually wait about a minute)
4. plug the modem back in and wait for it to stabilize
5. plug the router back in and wait for it to stabilize
6. try to to to the web page again.
And while I am waiting for my modem to start back up and get itself connected to the internet I usually restart my iPad/iPhone. Hold the Home button and the Power button down at the same time, wait for the apple logo to appear and then wait for the device to to a restart. Very much like rebooting your PC.

Tell your wife to get her own Apple ID. If you do not want continuity/handoff to work with calls, on both devicesgo to Settings==>>FaceTime==>> Turn OFF iPhone cellular calls.

IPhone 5 and iPad 2nd gen weak wifi pick up after iOs 8.0.2 update

Hi,
I have had my iPhone 5 since September 2012 when it first came out and had never have any problems with it with regards to picking up wifi signal. I had battery issues as the phone got older but it didn't really bother me and I had it sent over to Apple to have the sleep/wake button issue resolved about two weeks ago. Since then, I have purchased the iPhone 6 and gave my old iPhone to my husband. As I'm the one who deals with all the gadgets, I do the updating stuff. My iPhone 6 is on the latest iOs 8.0.2 and it doesn't have any problem whatsoever. My iPhone 5 and iPad 2nd gen (3g + wifi) also had the latest iOs update and both have recurring problems now. Both have problems picking up up wifi signals. Even when I have the iPhone 6 next to them, which has full bars (wifi), the two older gadgets are struggling to pick any signal at all. And if they actually get onto the internet, I only get 1 bar and the internet surfing on them are as sluggish as ever. The battery on the iPhone 5 has drastically gone downhill as well. I have tried to change the WPE/WPA2 connection on the router but it is still the same. I even tried to "Forget the network" and logged in manually again to no avail. The keychain thing on iCloud has been turned off but no change has been noticed. Is there anything else I can do to have this issue resolved? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried a simple reset of your iPod to see if that helps? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Otherwise, have you tried any of the troubleshooting mentioned in this Apple support document?
