IPad 2 stuck installing iOS7 update halfway through...HELP!

My iPad 2 is stuck installing iOS7. The screen shows the apple logo with the gray bar shaded halfway through. It's been hours, it's not moving. How do I get it to start up again? Should I restore it? Any suggestions would help. Thanks in advance.

Your user name isn't exactly conducive to getting help from people here.
Nevertheless, I would restart your iPad by holding the Home/On-Off button until the Apple icon shows up. Then start over. If that doesn't work, then you have to do a restore, unless something got messed up beyond repair.

It is still not working. I have had Apple support on the phone twice as each time I get through the restore process it comes up with an unexplained error (3194) which they keep telling me is because I have a firewall preventing it from happening. This is wrong because I have removed the firewall and it still comes up with the error message and will not restore. I now have to take it to the guys I have had look at my computers from time to time to sort it out (presumabley at my cost). If and or when it gets to the point to restore, yes I can restore from iCloud an should get all my data ok but I shouldn't really have to go through all this drama as the iPad is only very new and still under all of it's warranties etc Completely unimpressed with this whole thing.

(A) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.
(B) Reset Network Settings

Can't install or update apps through iTunes

Seems I can't install or update apps through iTunes. It keeps giving me error messages. I the only way I can get around this is updating through the App Store app on iPod touch. I think this problem started since updating to Lion.

Double tap the home button and find the mail app. Drag the app up from the multitasking display to close the app. Then reboot the iPad and try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Wait and try back in a bit. There seems to be some issue with the servers, likely very heavy traffic.

Did you try the download over-the-air or using iTunes? The download is huge ... have you waited sufficient time?
Anyway if the reset failed, try recovery mode as follows. You may have to try to get into recovery mode more than once to succeed:

If you have a choice, try using iTunes on your computer to download iOS 7.

Ipad lost wifi after ios7 update but works when close to signal.

Ive read lot of posts that have the same issue as mine except for one difference. My ipad will reconnect if I am very close to the router or my range extender.
I have had three years of faultless use from my ipad and it lost wifi and bluetooth connectivity immediately after updating to ios7.0.4.
Ive tried all the usual remedies as in updating the router firmware, resetting the ipad, switching wifi on and off etc. All to no avail.
Unfortunately it still wont find a wifi signal where all my other apple and samsung gear will find multiple signals easily.
I found out that if im within 20cm of my range extender or within 2-3 metres of my asus router i get about 2 bars of signal and it works accordingly. If I move beyond that range my signal drops out.
Ive ordered a new Wifi antenna but wanted to know if anyone else has got some ideas prior to me fitting it.

I took the ipad for a drive to see if it could find a signal.
My Samsung S4 was continuously picking up new Wifi signals but my Ipad didnt find a single one.
So I went into my local computer shop and got within two metres of their wifi antenna and got a 2-3 bar signal. I literally took one big step away from it and I lost the signal and it wouildnt return until I approached the aerial agian.
The computer tech just laughed and said thats Apple for you.
What I cant work out is that it had been perfect in all conditons for years until the ios7 update.

i found out my prob!
here is what you do.
go to the "system preferences" on your dock.
click "software updates".
click "installed software"
if it shows something about a recent update about "EFI UPDATE, FIRMWARE, THUNDERBOLT" or anything like that, exit out of it.
go to mail.
click "mail" at the top.
click "preferences...".
find the account you are having trouble with, once you do, make sure its highlighted, then click the "-" at the bottom of the window (this will only effect that mail account, it will not effect your ical weather or not its synced thought that email account)
hit the "+" (right next to the "-") and add your accout back!
its something with that update that effected mail, i hope this works out for you, if not reply back
