IPad 2 Verizon setup

Alright i just bought my iPad2 Verizon version. I dont have a verzion account. What do i need to do to setup the 3G. there appears to be a built in setup but it is a recurring payment. Is this correct? Am i able to cancel/turn it off month by month?

It's a recurring monthly payment. You can use Settings to modify the current plan and from that screen you can choose cancel. That will cancel the plan at the end of the current 30 days.

    Why are you using Windows print sharing with your nice network printer? This mode only supports printing, not scannning or faxing. The better way to do this is to attach the printer to your router with Ethernet or wirelessly so that all PCs (regardless of how they connect) can use all of it's features. Disconnect the USB cable and run the Wireless Setup Wizard (if you want to connect it wirelessly, otherwise, plug the Ethernet cable in to the printer and router) from the front of the printer (Setup >Network menu), then run the HP software to "Add a Device" on each PC.
    Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • Epson to iPad wifi setup? Help.

    I am having issues just connecting my xp-200 wifi printer to my iPad 2. I do not have a laptop or desktop computer...just my iPad.
    For my router, it's a Comcast with wifi. All is working and connected but for my Epson printer.
    When searching for the wifi printer with the Epson iPrint, I get error message of "Unable to find printer...ssid...Home D272...check network settings...".
    I can access the router in my browser 10.0.x.x but don't know what to do from there. My router can see my devices but not my printer.
    What can I do with my router so the printer will have access?
    The Epson manual is short on info. Does not include any iPad wifi setup. Been everywhere looking for answers but going in circles. Yes, xp-200 is supported.
    Thanks a bunch!

    Well hey, I figured this out.
    Press the button wps on router. Turn on printer, press wifi, and whala, connected!
    So while the question was asked, I answered it myself.
    Thanks anyway.

  • Can a iPad be setup for tethered shooting with a Nikon dslr

    Can a iPad be setup for tethered shooting with a Nikon Camera

    Not as a standalone solution if you want stuff like live view and all the camera controls on the iPad. If it's just for transferring photos to the iPad for immediate viewing after shooting the Shuttersnitch app comes to mind. Shuttersnitch however requires a WiFi connection that most Nikons don't happen to have. Nikon's wireless dongles for the consumer range of cameras are also somewhat awkward to use whereas the wireless/Ethernet units for the pro range happen to be very expensive. WiFi SD-cards are also a possibility for retrofitting WiFi but they tend to be unreliable, slow and their setup is quite often finicky.
    Another solution would be tethering the camera to a laptop (Win or Mac) through USB and connecting the iPad as a secondary wireless tethering device to the computer. There are programs for Mac and Windows incorporating this feature. I once set this up for a friend who does a lot of studio work but it ended up that he just uses the USB-connected laptop almost exclusively. And unless one would be out for a timelapse shooting already carrying tons of gear not a solution for shooting in the field.
    Last not least but also not exactly inexpensive is the Camranger remote control for Nikon and Canon DSLRs. It connects to the camera through USB and has its own server and WiFi built in which allows to connect to iOS, Android, Mac and Windows (apps for all available by Camranger themselves). Probably the most flexible and comfortable solution especially when considering that it can be used for multiple cameras and will mot likely also work with future cameras. More information can be found at http://www.camranger.com (I'm in no way affiliated with them and personally don't own a Camranger remote so I would advise some more web research on user experiences).

  • HT201322 Downloaded a song from iTunes on my iPhone but only shows on my iPad.  Setup for same iCloud.

    Downloaded a song from iTunes on my iPhone but only shows on my iPad.  Setup for same iCloud.

    If you are syncing music to the iPhone automatically, you won't be able to play tracks on the iPhone from iTunes, the music will be grayed out.
    You can play them in iTunes if you Manually Manage the music on your iPhone though.
    You could also Transfer the purchases from your iPhone to a computer.

  • Is it possible to setup more than one person's iTunes iPad account on a shared computer?     We each have an iPad to setup.

    is it possible to setup more than one person’s iTunes iPad account on a shared computer?     We each have an iPad to setup.
    Would the data be combined or would the 2nd person have a separate iTunes program. How would this be done?

    I'm not totaly sure if I understand your issue, but it sounds like you want to use the same spry widget with different settings on the same page? Is that correct?
    I dont use spry tooltips, however, what would see to work would be if you configure the second spry tool tip, perhaps in a seperate page, rename the new or second set of js and css files to read
    <script src="../_scripts/SpryAssets/SpryTooltip2.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <link href="../_scripts/SpryAssets/SpryTooltip2.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    So now you will have two seperate js files and css files.
    So you have this
    <script src="../_scripts/SpryAssets/SpryTooltip2.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <link href="../_scripts/SpryAssets/SpryTooltip2.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <script src="../_scripts/SpryAssets/SpryTooltip.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <link href="../_scripts/SpryAssets/SpryTooltip.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    See how that works for you.

  • 3G iPad - verizon or AT

    I received a 3G iPad (1st gen) as a gift - MC497LL/A, Model 1337.
    How do I know if this is compatible with Verizon or AT&T?  Are all 3G iPads
    compatible with either service?

    Open the Settings app & select Cellular. There you can setup or view your account. It will show verizon or AT&T, but not both.

  • How to get Movies from iTunes to iPad (Not setup on computer)

    I have a movie in iTunes that I want to transfer to an iPad.
    The iPad was not setup on my current machine (or not setup using a computer at all, I can't recall), so when I connect, it asks to restore from my last iPhone backup, or setup as new.  The iPad is only backed up on iCloud.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks in advance.

    If you purchased the TV. shows from iTunes, they are compatible with the iPad and there is no reason why they shouldn't work. Did you try syncing them to the iPad from iTunes on your computer?
    This is explains how to sync movies to your device.
    http://ipad.about.com/od/iPad_Guide/ss/How-To-Sync-An-iPad-With-iTunes-Music-Mov ies-Apps_4.htm
    In iTunes 11, in order to see the device in the left sidebar, go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu at the top of the screen - if the sidebar isn't already visible.

  • Apple TV, 2 iphones (4s), 1 ipad - which setup is best?

    I am an apple noob and need help setting up all our devices.  My husband currently has an iphone 4s, but he has not bought much iTunes content yet, while we wait to try and see the best way to set all our devices up for synching, etc.  I just bought him an Apple TV 3.  I plan to buy an iphone 4s and the new ipad in the next couple weeks.  I want to set them up where we can share music and apps on all our devices but not contacts, messages, etc.  Our laptop is not apple.  My questions is what is the best way to do this, since we are just now making the switch to everything apple.
    Could we have separte Apple IDs and separate iCloud IDs for everything we want to keep separate, then setup a shared Apple ID for itunes purchases that we want to mingle?  Can you use your Apple TV with different Apple IDs?  Which one Apple ID/iTunes would the Apple TV automatically load when you start using it?
    I assume on the ipad we would just use the shared Apple ID.  How should we then setup Home Sharing?
    Ok, that is a lot of questions.  But I want to try to wrap my head around the best way to share items before we set anything up.

    Welcome to the Apple community.
    Yes you can each use a separate ID for iCloud (which deals with mail, contacts, calendars etc) and both use the same ID for iTunes, (which handles music, movies, apps, books etc) indeed this is what I would recommend in a family situation.
    When it comes to the Apple TV, it doesn't actually matter whether you both use the same ID for iTunes or use different IDs, Apple TV will be able to connect to both libraries and use them both. You will however only be able to use one ID for purchases from the Apple TV itself. You will also only be able to use the Apple TV to connect to one of your photo streams, if you each have your own ID for iCloud.

  • I tried to update my mother's iPad2 from ios 4.2 to the newest version. I am stuck in a loop. I get to the setup, but every time I back up the iPad, the setup tarts over. I restored the entire device - same problem

    My mom has an iPad 2 that she bought a few years ago. She has never updated it and wanted me to do so. I installed iTunes, got the newest version, and plugged her iPad in. The update went great. Everything was backed up first, all the data was synched, but now the setup page starts over again and again after I restore the data. I tried wiping everything down to the factory settings, and the same thing happens I skip the woreless access setup because she forgot her wifi password and I need to reset that. But that should not be an issue...

    If you have Wi-Fi, you don't need to connect her iPad to a computer to update iOS.
    Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on the iPad. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi
    Tap Settings > General > Software Update
    Trying to sync with iTunes on your computer won't work. It's already associated with your Apple ID.

  • Where did the text justification feature in Pages for iPad Doc Setup go?

    In previous versions of Pages for iPad ( pre iOS8) there used to be text justification option in document  setup  mode. In latest version, 2.4.2, the justification feature is missing for the headers and footer . There does not seem to be any way to center my text in the header.
    Anyone have an idea?

    Tom,
    Thank you for the response, even if it confirmed my fears. I've had a go with the "Show Spelling and Grammar" and it is much less useful than the methods of 4.x
    How dissapointing, as someone who regularly works with documents in multiple languages. What's worse: I cannot even open my old documents now in Pages 4.x once they have been opened by 5.0.
    A mess, indeed.

  • Microsoft Rights Management iPad App setup fails

    Hi,
    I downloaded and installed the RMS sharing App (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rms-sharing/id689516635?mt=8) on my iPad. At first run, it asks to "enter your organizational email address". When entered and clicking "Continue", nothing
    happens except the text-block empties and waits for input. It's impossible to continue.
    For information, the I use the same "organizational email address" to setup successfully the Microsoft RMS sharing on Windows (8.1) computers where it works ok.
    Thanks for any help...
    Thomas.

    Hi Thomas,
    Currently, Microsoft RMS team is working with Office team to create RMS-aware Office Suite for mobile devices. As we speak, there is not out-of-the-box native Office files viewer for RMS-protected files.
    If you want, you can use 3rd parties (RMS Viewer, Gigatrust, etc), However, Microsoft came up with "temporary" solution: you have to install RMS Sharing App on your workstation (PC/laptop) and once you click "Share protected" button (appears
    in the Word ribbon once you install RMS SHaring app) to protect the Word file (as an example), this app will create 2 files and by default those will be attached into new e-mail message ready to send:
    1. A RMS-Protected .docx word file, which you can open, view, edit and do whatever you want in terms of RMS permissions in Office suite for PC (laptops/workstations)
    2. A RMS-Protected .ppdf file . PPDF extension is opened by RMS Sharing app in read-only mode, both on workstations AND on mobile devices.
    Both files have the same content, but once you receive e-mail with those files on your mobile device, you can open .ppdf file with RMS SHaring app and you get your contect to read only purposes.
    Hope this makes sense and is clear:)

  • Went to Switch my iPad Verizon iPad for an At&t [MY REVIEW]

    Last night, i made a complete backup of my Ipad i got from Verizon Wireless on January 1st. I decided that receiving 2gigs of data on a $30 plan/month wasn't  no longer worth it. I did however average about 55mb of data use during the 11 days i had it. Only on the forth day of exploring the ipad did i go over 84mb of data.
    To make the 2 gig plan work initially i decided that i could only use up to 68mb a day to stay within my data plan. LETS CALCULATE:
    Data          Montly Alloted Data     Daily Data Access
    1gig       =           1024MB                             34  MB
    2gigs     =           2048MB                              68  MB
    3gigs     =           3072MB                              102MB
    Now at 68MB per day... You CAN do it... just don't plan on streaming video nor music. I found that out on my fourth day of use as stated early. Each day that you are under 68mb is a good thing. How ever much you are under 68mb gets "divided and added between the days left of service." and will make up your "new daily use." For example see chart below:

    The data above is not the actual for my data use its theorically and for example only.
    With all that said... however 3 gigs for $30 is better than 2 at $30.
    Just from initial looks i get better AT&T coverage (bars on the ipad)... but i don't see the LTE... just 4g.
    With 3gigs... i can freely surf up to 34 mb more. This mean i can stream videos & audio without much worry. Now I know still have to monitor my use but being that i've had to manage myself at 2 gigs for 10days... I think 3gigs will not be no problem. I can now leave the cellualar data on during periods of inactive use of the pad... I use the ipad as a phone.
    Hope this make sense.

    No i was just sharing my knowledge/experience. Hopefully this post will enlighten someone.
