  • Typing on the iPad 2 very slow to respond with iOS 7

Why is typing on the iPad 2 very slow to respond with iOS 7?

    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
     Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.

  • My ipad is very slow. Already rebooted it and still has the problem.

I have an ipad 3 and istalled Ios6 three weeks ago. It had no performance problem. Today, the ipad is running slow. When typing, it takes a while until the letters fo to the text boxes. When using intensive touch screen apps, it takes 2 sseconds to move something. Even typing the access password, it slows down. I already rebooted it, closed evry app but it continues to underperform. It's really very slow and cant be used in any app.

Not normal. Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.

  • Ipad Air & Ipad mini very slow loading websites

    Hi all
Im experiencing very slow website loading issues on my Ipad air and my daughters Ipad mini retina. When this occurs the devices even stop loading the site completely. When i open the same site on iPhones 4s or iMac it loads instantly,  WiFi is provided by 2 AirPort express stations, since iPhone & Imac load instantantly.  During these issues speedtests on both Ipads are showing download speeds in the range of  44 mb/s. All of this leads me to believe there's nothing wrong with WiFi signal.
All mobile devices are running on IOS 7.1, loading apps is no issue, just loading sites is giving the problem
Any help or advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated
    Kris

That's weird. Have you tried to reset the network settings on them?
Go to Settings > General > Scroll to bottom and Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Try and see if that helps.  You'll need to put your passwords back in but it may help

  • IPad gets very slow with large apps installed ?

    Hi,
I have a 64GB iPad 3 and I noticed it gets very slow when I install large apps. Apps larger than 1 GB.
I have bought a number of excellent reference apps, but can not keep them on my iPad together.
I have to delete one before I can install the next or else my iPad runs into trouble.
I can have about 5 large apps installed and no more.
It takes forever to boot, restarts, has delays when typing and crashes all the time with my large apps installed.
Is this a limitation of iOS 6, or is it because I have dropped below 10 GB of my 64GB storage.
Does my iPad use the storage for memory?
I bought a 64GB so that I could use my large apps.
    Sean

10GB of free space should be adequate. Have you done a Reset?
How much space is your Other using? You may be able to reduce.
How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
    http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

  • IPad 2 very slow on facebook"

LLoad wheel just keeps running and newsfeed pics load very slow.

Try basic troubleshooting and see if it helps.
Quit all apps completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Reboot the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Do this as well. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.

  • IOS 8 on iPad 2 very slow

    Hi there,
    i'm very angry about iOS8.
    On my iPad 2, 64Gb, 3G-GSM it's very slow.
Safari, stick about 20-30 seconds before it loads.
Double click on Homebutton responds 2-3 seconds later.
    Sliding stutter, and hang sporadic.
All Apps, Apple Tools too, stall sporadic for a few seconds.
The settings app are hang up several Times.
For me, iOS8 are very unusable.
    Sorry Apple.
    Regards.

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums.
You may leave comments at Apple Feedback.

  • Ipad agenda very slow when activated takes long time

My agenda is very slow when i activated them takesnlongbtime when it is visible.?
    How to solve this?

You could try a reset of the iPad, but that could also be due to the servers you are connecting to that contain the calendar information (assuming you are synching to one or more), your Internet connection itself, and then number of items and calendars in the app.

  • Flash CS3 Professional Very Slow & Sluggish

I recently upgraded to Flash CS3 Pro (WinXP). It is very slow
to use -- the mouse keeps getting "stuck" for several seconds at a
time, sometimes longer. It seems to get even slower when I open the
    script window (F9).
Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to fix
it? It sort of drives you insane.
    Thanks,
    Geoff

You certainly are not alone. I'm running into the same
problem. I have 4gb of ram in my system, though I'm not running
vista yet, thus it sees 2.5gb. I'm on a dual dual-core xeon 3.0g
system, so it actually exceeds the recommendations for HD video. I
    have a 5 disc raid0 array.
I don't have any answers for you, nor do I have any new
information. But I do want to confirm that there is a big problem.
My ram appears unused, and so do my CPUs. The CPUs get used for 10
seconds, then sit for 45... it's entirely useless.
Is there anything that can be done? It's really, really
useless to have your computer freeze 2/3 of the time while a
program is simply open and doing nothing...

  • IPad 1 very Slow

My iPad updated to ios 5.1.1 and no further. It's very sluggish and crashes a lot. I clear the cache and history daily and have done hard reboot but that really doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions on what I can do to speed thing up?

I have similar issues. There is likely not much we can do, this is planned obsolescence. The iOS updates have been ramping up features (such as notifications, etc.) for the newer models that have faster CPUs and memory (and multiple cores). Also, web pages in general have become "heavier" with embedded videos, tons of graphics and such (which is not under Apple's control).
I can't even have two tabs in Safari without requiring re-loading on every tab switch, which combined with the slow Wi-Fi on the iPad 1 and the slow, single-core CPU means Internet browsing is painful. But I manage to read some news.
Remember the iPad 1 was an experiment really... next time I won't be buying the first model of anything.

  • IPad 3 very slow after updating to iOS 8

I Updated my iPad 3 to iOS 8 the day it was released and almost immediately after it finished updating I started having problems.
    1) The Wifi connection is incredibly slow on every device I update.
    2) The entire iPad 3 itself runs very slowly whether I am running apps or switching between (yes I have been shutting down programs when not using them as to conserve RAM but it still runs poorly)
I also did download 8.0.1 with no new issues but did also download and install 8.0.2
I just would like to know if there is anything I can do to get better performance back to my iPad.

No, this is definitely an iOS 8.3 bug, Allen. I have an iPad mini (original, 24/12 old) and an iPhone 5 (not S, 18/12 old). Updated both from 8.2 to 8.3. I keep them and the apps up to date and run a tight ship.
Since the update, the iPhone has been behaving normally.
However, starting immediately after the update, the iPad has been rebooting: when you plug it into the power and it goes to sleep, it reboots itself. This NEVER ONCE happened before the 8.3 update -- and I think I started with this iPad on iOS5 or at least 6, with all the updates inbetween. If you want to use it again shortly after plugging it in, you have to wait about five-ten minutes (as other have reported).  So far, it has always rebooted successfully. But you do have to put in your passcode in response to "you have to enter your passcode upon rebooting" message; and tell it to trust your current computer connect once again.
It just now rebooted itself once again when plugged into the computer USB port, while in the middle of a sync (the screen went to sleep). Not happy about that; potential to damage data.
I confirm: this NEVER happened before 8.3, and it now reliably happens EVERY TIME I plug the iPad into power and it goes to sleep. I have three power sources (computer USB, individual Apple charger, aftermarket reserve battery charter) and it happens with all of them.
As far as I can tell, it only reboots itself once per charger-plugin, and doesn't do so again until you unplug it and plug it back in again (somewhat confident, but not 100% sure, of that).
Hope that helps. The bug needs squashing, and soon.

  • Ipad mini very slow after ios7 update

    A) Since installing IOS7 on my Ipad Mini (which I purchased only in April) everything runs slow
    B) Facebook flashes and disappears and I have to relaunch the program
    C) When switching screens the animation is very choppy
So what's the deal?  Were there real beta testers or what?  How can these things be missed??
    Where's the solutions?
    Jeannie

    Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
    Resetting your settings
You can also try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered. You won't lose any data, but it takes time to enter all of the settings again.
    Resetting your device
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Apple recommends this only if you are unable to restart it.
Or if this doesn't work and nobody else on the blog doesn't have a better idea you can contact Apple.
Here is a link to their contacts with most of the information below.
