IPad 2 with iOS 6 installed displaying the old App and iTunes stores interface.

I noticed today that my iPad 2, updated to run iOS 6, is no longer displaying the new App Store or iTunes Store interface as introduced with iOS 6, but rather defaulting to the old interface, as familiar in iOS 5 and prior. However my iPad was displaying the new store interfaces as of Wednesday September 19th.
Here's a screen shot of what I currently see.
I presume that the store skin is displayed by Apple on the backend, and for some reason my iPad is still displayng the old interface.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiecing the same sight?

There are numerous reports of this issue happening on iPhones. It may be a glitch that will need a new update. Some find that a full shut-down and restart fixes that problem, but not always.

Yes. My wife and I each have our own Apple ID and used the same computer to sync our phones with iTunes. The best way to do this is set up separate user accounts on the computer. If you are logged in to your account on the computer and your wife wants to sync here phone, you would log out and she would log in. These keeps all your stuff separate and avoids a ton of confusion.

Try this fix discovered by User photosb189:
From Finder, hold down the option key on your keyboard and click on the Go menu at the top of the screen
Select Library from the drop down menu
Then navigate to Application Support > iLifeAssetManagement > assets
Right click on the 'sub' folder and choose Compress
Drag the resulting zip file to your Desktop (as a backup)
Go to your System Preferences and choose iCloud
Turn OFF the iCloud Photos option
Go back to Library > Application Support and DELETE the iLifeAssetManagement folder
Now, in System Preferences, turn the iCloud Photos option ON
iPhoto should now be able to launch. Give it enough time to re-download your Photo Stream content. if you are missing any of your My Photo Stream photos (more than 30 days old), unzip the sub folder on your desktop and drag that into iPhoto.

Sign out of the App Store, close the App Store app and reboot the iPad, sign in again and then go back and try again.
Settings>iTunes and App Store. Tap your Apple ID and sign out.
Close the App Store. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the App Store app and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Go go back to Settings>iTunes and App Store. Sign in again. Go to the App Store and see if the apps appear for downloading now.

I'm not sure why this would happen. But I think I did see another post a week or two ago about this. Have you tried rebooting your computer and resetting your iPad.
To reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I am unable to sign into the App and iTunes Store.

I recently bought an ipad mini , a few months old . Since yesterday I am unable to sign in to the app and iTunes Store. When I clink on a game link I want to install I am asked for my password and then a pop up appears saying I cannot connect to the App Store .
I have changed my password , checked my settings and also checked my wifi connection .
I hope someone can help .

This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

How can I get the sounds , like clicking,etc to work on iPad 2 with IOS 5. In the settings all sounds are on and the volume is high but I don't get a sound.

After downloading IOS 5, I no longer get the sounds on my IPAD 2 to work. They are on in settings and the volume is at maximum, but the sounds such as keyboard click, email sent etc, donor work.
Any suggestions.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the iPod and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad, or via the taskbar : double-click the home button; slide from the left; and it's the icon far left; press home again to exit the taskbar. I have an iPad 1 with IOS 5.1 - Keynote won't start and other apps no longer start

I've tried reboot, resynch. No success.
The keynote app was purchased with an older apple id which I still have access but I've tried syncing with both, it opens then shuts down.
Now, most of the other apps I've downloaded only flash then fail.

Did you try shutting down all of your apps, double click the home button then hold your finger on the app for a few seconds then tap the red minus sign then try it.

IOS 5 install is missing my apps and Siri. Where is Siri? and why wont iCloud work?

iOS 5 install installed but not all the way. Here's a list of issues so far:
My apps are all gone
The "Siri" app...which is 50% of the reason anyone would want to upgrade wasn't included in the install. How do I get Siri on my iPhone 4???
iCloud fails to activate...does this have an icon too? if so I don't have it.
Why only a partial install? I mean, I understand the servers were busy...but if it takes its slow time to complete...why still miss these features?
I should have started with my iPad2...but after all this crap...I wont give that one an upgrade for another month. I'll wait until everything is all sorted out.

1. Your apps will go off the phone because it is putting a clean install of the software on. You will be able to sync them back over after along with music etc.

You will have to try a recovery mode restore, for what you need a computer with the latest version of iTunes.

IPad app store won't display certain apps, and itunes store won't display any searches at all

Hi. My problem started when instagram won't open bc it says I have an old version, but everytime I checked the "updates" in the app store, instagram doesn't appear. So I deleted it. Now no matter how I search on my iPad for instagram and other certain apps (like 8tracks), they won't appear in the search results! Even when I try to download the apps via the iTunes store, nothing I search on iTunes ever displays. It just loads and stops halfway. I've tried downloading a new iTunes and restoring my iPad but nothing works. Can anyone help me please?

You can't. You'll have to contact the previous owner to have them do it or give you their credentials. If you cannot contact them or they are unwilling to provide you with that info, then you are out of luck.

Hi. I currently live in the Netherlands but have all my songs and apps from the US app and song stores. After I upgraded to iOS 6 today, the stores are all Dutch. I have the same problem. I upgrade to iOS on my iPhone and iPad yesterday. I'm American living in Germany. Both devices came up with the Germany iTunes/App Store after the upgrade. Now I must ask, why would the device destroy my country connection just because it upgraded the iOS. Never happened from iOS 4 to iOS 5. Strange. But I verified Settings...iTunes & App Stores, clicked on my Apple ID: [email protected], clicked View Apple ID, entered password, and sure enough, still says United States. Therefore, powered off the device, rebooted, and the store was correct (United States), where it should have been without all these steps.
