IPad 2 with iOS 7 stuck on "Waiting for Changes to be applied".

Since I upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 7, I can't sync to my computer, it get's stuck on "Waiting for Changes to be applied".  How do I fix this?

My itunes wouldn't sync my videos on to the ipad and the progress got up to "waiting for changes to be applied". I've tried a lot of things including:
Restart Computer
Delete voice memos
Close all active apps
Restore iPad
This has done nothing to help.

ever since iOS 7, my phone won't sync with iTunes. I've updated my iTunes but it is stuck on 'waiting for changes to be applied'. People suggested unchecking the sync music box then rechecking. I did that but it didn't help. I now have no music and it will not go back on

  • IPhone 4 w/iOS 5 stuck on "waiting for changes to be applied" any solutions?

So far I'm loving iOS 5 on my iPhone 4. Most everything is working great except for the fact that when I sync my phone it gets stuck on the final part of the sync (which was never part of the sync steps in the past) "waiting for changes to be applied." It happens anytime I make the iPhone sync: Transferring purchases, backing up, or making new changes like adding songs or apps.
So far I've just cancelled out of it and it's usually put everything I had synced onto it. But why does it get stuck on this? Has anyone else noticed this on their iOS devices?

I had the same problem. I updated yesterday, and ended up leaving the phone plugged in overnight, only to wake up in the morning and find it still "waiting for changes to be applied." One website suggested doing this inside the phone:
(Settings>General>iTunes Wi-Fi Sync), and CANCEL/TURN OFF the sync.
I found that for the first sync, or reboot of your iPhone after the iOS 5 and iTunes 5 updates, it's better to do that straight through USB and not over WiFi at all.
I was trying to do it that way, BUT even though I did indicate that on iTunes, the phone was still set to sync over WiFi until I disabled it as described above. My thought is that it was trying to do both, or something like that and could get past it. I hope this helps some of you. After you've done that, it would make sense to sync again straight through USB. Now, my sync takes a minute or two.

  • Ipad synce stuck on Waiting for changes to be applied

I have an ipad Mini running on IOS8. A Mac book Air running on OS X 10.9.5.
For hours and hours I have been trying to synce my iPad, and syncing is stuck on "Waiting for Changes to be applied"
I spent time restoring the full iPad, erased everything, put it back again...still stuck over and over again....
And now the good news is : THere is no song left on my iPad > Nothing I lost everything.
It have looked in this blog, it seems that people have been suffering on this issue for months and months.
I was about to buy the iPhone6...but frankly, Apple products =yncing is becoming a nightmare.
please APPLE do sometihng about, fix it NOW if you want people to purchase your products. The very reason why Apple WAS so successful was because of the simplicity. All this is gone now. Now you need to become an IT expert and spend hours getting into the systems to fix this or that yourself.

  • HT1535 ting stuck on "Waiting for changes to be applied" does i keep trying to sync my iphone 4s but it wont finish the sync it keeps getting stuck on anyone know why ?

i keep trying to sync my iphone 4s but it wont finish the sync it keeps getting stuck on "Waiting for changes to be Applied" has anyone had a similar problem? and what should i do ?

I know that most of these posts were put up a little while ago
    But.
I too had a similar problem and an "error" message (waiting for changes to be applied)
    - my thoughts were:
Something to do with update to IOS 7.4
    Corruption
    Itunes software issue
After a LOT of research, I found a simple step that solved this issue for me.
I had been running my sync (pre - IOS 7.4) as automatic - see the options section under the summary tab
This can be viewed when you click on your device - right up the top you'll see tabs
    SUMMARY / INFO / APPS / TONES / MUSIC / MOVIES / TV SHOWS / BOOKS / PHOTOS etc.
I changed my selection to manually manage music and videos and tried another sync
    Wha La!
It began to copy over 700 songs that had not properly synced to my Ipad 2
BONUS: it then started to sync my videos again.
    Hope this helps somebody.
It certainly made my life less frustrating
Downside: I have to MANUALLY manage - but it's better than all the hassles
NB: I don't know why this error occurs and I'm not sure this fix will work for everyone's issues but it can't hurt.

  • I cant sync downloaded music to my iphone, itunes stuck at waiting for changes to be applied

I have a iPhone 4s ios 7.0.4 and i download some mp3 songs from mp3skull.com, but when i try to sync them to my iPhone from itunes it gets stuck at waiting for changes to be applied. and the songs wont sync. PLEASE HELP

I have had this problem and I hope this works (it did for me and I also had an iPhone 4S - 7.1.2)
    1) Plug your iPhone in to iTunes.
    2) If it automatically starts syncing click the 'X' to cancel the sync as quickly as you can.
    3) Once the Sync has cancelled, navigate to:
'File' > 'Devices' > 'Transfer purchases from "_______ iPhone"
    4) Wait for Purchases to transfer.
    5) Update Apps on iTunes.
    6) Wait for that to finish.
    7) Try and Sync again.
    8) This time it should work.
----CONTINUE READING IF THIS DOESN'T WORK----
    9) Click 'Restore iPhone'
    10) Let iPhone restore (could take 20 minutes)
    11) Set up as a 'New iPhone' and sync your music.
----OTHER THINGS TO CHECK BEFORE YOU RESTORE----
    1) Is your iPhone running the latest software version?
    2) Is your iTunes running the latest software version?
    3) Are your songs in an unsupported File format?
    4) Are your songs corrupted?
    5) Have you transferred purchases and updated all apps on iTunes?
    -----OTHER THINGS YOU COULD DO-----
    1) Re-install iTunes (could work - probably won't but you can give it a try)
    2) Delete all music off phone (again probably won't work but you could give it a try)
    3) Re-start your phone by holding the 'Home/Touch ID' button and the lock button at the same time and hold until the Apple logo appears.
    ----NOTES-----
Since updating to iOS 8 and iTunes 12 I haven't had this problem.  You might want to update to iOS 8.1 and iTunes 12 - this could solve the problem too.

  • IPhone 6 stuck on "waiting for changes to be applied" when syncing.

I got a new iPhone 6 a few days ago and I put everything onto it (music, photos, contacts, etc) with no problem from a previous iPhone backup. This morning I tried to sync my phone with iTunes and while the music is listed on the music app on the phone, NONE of it will play and every track has the square with a circle around it that shows its download progress while syncing.
Why is this happening and how do I fix it? All I want is my entire library on my phone but it won't sync. (Also I should have plenty of room on my phone, I got the 128 GB and only have ~30 GB of music) Now on the status bar it says I have 30 GB of music and 30 GB of "other," but none of my songs will play. Also iTunes will get stuck on "Waiting For Changes to Be Applied" and won't finish syncing.
    I'm syncing a new iPhone 6 128 GB running 8.1.2 with a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro with Yosemite 10.10.1.
Any help fixing this problem via link or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • IPod Stuck On "Waiting For Changes To Be Applied"

    Hello guys,
I put a handful of CDs on my computer recently and I do want them on my iPod. Unfortunately, in the last two times I have tried, the bar simply gets stuck on "Waiting for changes to be applied". It will not budge nor go any further.
I'm running iOS 5.1.1 on my iPod touch 4, and I also have quite an extensive library to my definition. This has never been an issue, though.
    Help?

  • My iTouch keeps getting stuck on "Waiting for changes to be applied"

Hi, I just bought an iTouch 5 only 2 months ago and I'm having trouble because it won't sync my music. It keeps getting stuck on "waiting for changes to be applied." I have over 3000 songs and I have several playlists, it wouldn't sync all at once so I tried syncing it by playlist. It worked for a few songs and every time I add more, it just gets stuck. I've been trying to solve this for weeks now and it's stressing me out. I've read the stuff in this forum and I've tried people's solutions but I still haven't solved this problem.

  • Ipad wont sync stuck on waiting for changes to be applied

My iPad 3 wont finish synching on iTunes, it seems to stay stuck on Step 5 of 5, "Waiting for changes to be applied"
    Windows 7
    Latest iTunes
    iPad 3

I really don't appreciate the fact that no one from Apple seems to be dealing with the many, many threads that have started on this topic since iOS 7 came out. In any event, I seem to have solved my problem with a full software restoration -- that is, iOS software restoration.
I clicked on "Restore iPhone..." which does a complete reinstall of the iOS but also all apps, photos, songs, etc. Took about 45 minutes, but seems to have worked.
I had previously tried reverting to a backup of my iPhone, but that did not solve the problem. Only a full restore solved it.

  • ITunes sync getting stuck on "waiting for changes to be applied" with the latest iTunes 11.4.0.18 and ipad2

Downgraded to ios 7.1.2 after ios 8 disaster. Now iTunes 11.0.4.18 and windows 7 and my ipad2 will not sync. I received an error message that the sync failed to finish. I  have lost all my apps I think but that is another problem. Why won't my pad sync?

Yes, my iPhone 5 running ios 7 will not sync in *any* way with itunes now.  I can neither add nor remove content via itunes.  I just tried to delete 100% of my music from my iphone, it hung forever on "Waiting for changes to be applied" and then when it was finally done... no changes had been applied.
I can't add, remove, change, delete or in any way of any kind sync my iphone with itunes any longer.
I'm becoming the person who refuses to update to the new Apple OS.  I used to get very excited about new OS updates.  That all ended around Mountain Lion.  Yesterday when I saw that Mavericks was out I wasn't excited.  Instead I felt a sense of dread, and for good reason.  Every time they release an OS in the last few years it's just a cluster-F.

  • HT201263 using windows 8 computer, ipad sync stuck on 'waiting for changed to be applied'

    Hi
I have downloaded some movies to my computer with digital copy, and would like to sync them to the ipad.  Computer runs on Windows 8, with iTunes 11.1.1.11.  Ipad runs on iOS 7.0.2.  When I sync, the process stops at 'waiting for changes to be applied'.  It seems to hang up there.  What can I do?
    Thanks!

  • Solution: Syncing with my iTunes library an endless headache: Songs don't transfer, or songs transfer and show up as "other," or I get double copies, or "Over Capacity," or stuck on "waiting for changes to be applied."

iPod Touch 5g, 64GB, iOS 7.1. After my iPod data began showing up "Other," after an abrupt disconnection from iTunes during a sync I've spent the last week trying to fix it only to be thwarted at every attempt.  I've tried resetting and restoring 6 or 7 times now, and all goes well until it gets to copying my library of music over.  What I finally figured out is that 8,000+ songs is too many for iTunes to process all at once for some reason.
After several nights of leaving it connected all night I would find that the songs had physically copied and were occupying the ~45 gb of space on my iPod's storage, but were not showing up on my local library, instead listed as "Other" in iTunes and otherwise unusuable, or they would show up, but I'd have ~45 gigs of "Other," 45 gigs of "Audio," and would be "Over Capacity," by 30 gigs or so.  OR it would be "Waiting for Changes to be Applied," for 12+ hours.
My work around:  In iTunes, under the "Music" / "Sync Music" tab, instead of syncing "Entire Music Library," select "Selected Playlists, Artists, Albums, and Genres."  You will have to indivually select the playlists, artists, albums, or genres and kept each bulk tansfer to <2000 songs at a time.  The easiest way for me to do this was by selecting one genre at a time and copying it over.  I had already taken the time to organize my library into 10 genres, you probably have more than 10.  This is irritating and time consuming, but it's better than resetting my iPod over and over and over again to no avail.
Waiting for Changes? What iTunes is actually doing when it says it is "Waiting for Changes," or "Waiting for Items to Copy."  iTunes for whatever reason does not reveal the relevent data being processed during a sync (didn't it used to?), but there are a couple ways you can decipher what it is actually up to.  The first option is on the iPod; under Settings>General>iTunes Wi-Fi Sync it will tell you what it is up to during syncing.  The other way on the iPod; under Music>Songs, scroll all the way to the bottom to see where it is at in the process.  What iTunes, iTunes Wi-Fi Sync, and the bottom of the Songs library report are not always in agreement, but seeing all three will give you a better approximation of where you are in the syncing process and whether or not it is hanging.
This for me was successful as a workaround, but this is not a solution.  Apple needs to fix this crap.  Maybe they just want to make it so difficult to have a physical library of music on the local storage of the iPod that we will just give up and sign up for their Match service.

ALSO, on the iPod under Settings>General>iTunes Sync, you may need to back out of the "iTunes Wi-fi Sync," and reopen it to get it to update.
    (I use iTunes 11.1.5.5)

  • Stuck on "waiting for changes" to be applied during a restore from backup

I am on an iPhone 5s and before installing iOS 8, I made sure to create a backup of everything on my phone onto my laptop.  The iOS 8 download completed and during the install, it would get stuck on a white screen with a black apple and a status bar 1/4 complete.  I waited several hours and nothing changed, so I talked to someone at Apple and they said that I needed to restore the iPhone, get iOS 8 up and running, then restore my phone from my latest backup which was made with the most recent version of iOS 7.  The restore on the phone worked fine to bring it back to factory settings, then I went to restore from my backup on my laptop and this seemed to be working fine as it had my text messages, emails, etc., but it only has 1.5 pages of app icons (half of which are blacked out) and my iTunes remains on Step 5 of 5 "Waiting for changes to be applied".  After several hours, I cancelled this backup restore and attempted to do it again, but the same thing happens.  Is it possible to have a corrupt Backup? and if so, what should I do?
    Thanks.
