IPad 2 won't install update

I have downloaded iOS 8.1.1 update, but my iPad 2 doesn't let me install it; it says I'm not connected to the internet.....but I am. While it was giving that error, I was in fact browsing the net with Safari normally - so it's not a Wi-Fi issue. I've tried to turn off and rebooth the iPad, but it keeps telling me I have no connection; calling Apple Support is useless, because they always tell you your product is no longer supported and don't help you. What should I do to install the update? Thank you in advance for the help.

Hello a.gandi,
If you are having issues with installing the update over the air, then try using iTunes to update it. Check out the article below for that suggest and others to get you updated on your iPad.

Flash has been used for more than just displaying videos. The Vote choice your daughter found is one of those flash type sites that will not display on iOS devices. There are now over 100 million iPads, and who knows how many more iPhones out there. Developers who want their content to display on all these devices will have to move away from the old Flash technology.
There were some version of Flash that ran on other brands of tablets. But Adobe has stopped all development of Flash for all mobile devices. As time goes on and mobile operating systems evolve the no Apple devices will lose their ability to run Flash too. Web developers need to move on to cleaner, more efficient types of programming.

Upgraded to Yosemite, reinstalled legit CS5 InDesign successfully, need to download the upgrade to 5.5 for essential "shared content" plug in... the update won't install "update is not applicable" error w no serial code request, just doesn't install. Indesign 5.0 was working fine, i just need a couple extensions

    you can update cs5:  http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/
but you can't upgrade to cs5.5.
you can upgrade to cs6 or cc (for money).

  • Ipad mini not installing updates after 8.0.2

after I upgraded my ipad mini, I can't install updates from the App Store. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have two different ISPs.  My connection to U-verse is very slow, but my iPad mini connects rIght away and stays connected.  My TWC connection is much faster yet the iPad connection lasts for a very short time, unless I am sitting directly in front of the router with the iPad almost touching it.  It always shows that the iPad is connected though.  Otherwise I am constantly rebooting the iPad, removing and re entering the router info, turning wifi on and off, etc.  before the 8.0 update, my mini worked perfectly.

  • After Downloading 10.5.2 Update, Computer Won't Install Update, Just Sits?

+*Hi, I have a Mac Mini running OS X 10.5.1 Leopard. I recently tried to download the 10.5.2 Update, it downloaded successfuly, but when I try to install it, it sits and the loading bar doesn't move at all. I've let it sit for several hours (12 to be exact) and it didn't move at all. I force-shut down the computer, but now I can't re-download it. The update for my computer is 182 MB. How do I fix this?*+

There are two possibilities: You download is corrupted.
You can download the full 10.5.2 update here:
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/macosx1052comboupdate .html
    and install it.
The other possibility is that if you have installed the recent TimeMachine/Airport update it probably won't instal anyway. There are many threads here about it. You should look them over.

  • IMac G5 iSight won't shut down, won't install updates

    Hi all,
My iMac G5 (iSight) is giving me some grief.
    First, some details:
    OSX 10.5.7
I have been trying to update this machine and have successfully updated a few things, such as iTunes, iLife, etc. Updates that don't require a restart seem to go just fine. I am unable to install updates to QT7, Safari because the installer hangs up while "Configuring Installation" and won't go any further, no matter how long you leave it.
This iMac also will not shut down. The finder icons disappear, the desktop image remains, and the grey spinning wheel goes on and it will simply not shut down until forced using the power button.
It is starting and functioning otherwise with no problems.
I have disconnected it from drives and and the network in case there was something on the network keeping it, but no luck. I have run Disk Utility and repaired permissions, reset the PRAM and the SMU, as well. No joy. Incidentally, my partner's MacBook Air is also having the exact same problem as this iMac (I posted as well in the MBA forums), but my own laptop, the one I'm using now (details below) is having no problem at all and all updates have taken.
Has anyone any suggestions about anything else I can try to clear this issue before I ring Applecare tomorrow?
    Many thanks!

    Hi Miriam,
I've just tried to run a Hardware Test but the disk is clearly from an older iMac I once had (pre-iSight) because it doesn't want to know about it. I have doubts about it being a logic board problem, however, because I'm having the same problems with a MacBook Air (but not my MacBook Pro) and it only started after a recent round of updates. Worrying, yes, but apart from not installing updates that require a restart or simply shutting down both machines seem to be performing perfectly. It's a bit confusing.
    Thanks!

  • My Macbook Won't Install updates

I just purchased a Macbook Pro and it won't automatically update the software. It looks like it downloads the software but then just quits and never ends up installing.

It never automatically updates the software, updates do need to be preformed manually. Try logging out of the app store, restarting the computer, and logging back in. Then run your updates again

  • Itunes won't install update to recognize my iphone comes up with a error cannot find Itunes.msi

my itunes won't instal the update errors saying cannot find itunes.msi

    Hi, kdub5.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I understand that you can not update iTunes due to a .msi error.  I would recommend uninstalling iTunes and all of it's components as outlined in the first article below.  For any component that gives you the .msi error, go through the steps in the second article below.
Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable" alert appears when you remove Apple software in Windows
    Cheers,

I just updated my Mac OS to 10.9.3 (Maverick).  I was able to re-install/update all of my CC programs except for
After Effects.  I get all kinds of errors.  First it was "can't patch".  Now it's "There was an error installing this update.  Please Quit and

  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 Won't Install Updates?

I've received some notifications about installing updates for this product, but every time I try, it seems to be downloading, and then gives me the error page that essentially goes as:
    Some updates failed to install
He following updates were unable to install. If you wish to install these updates, please fic the problems below and retry.
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 9.0.3 Update
There was an error downloading this update. Please quit and try again later.
And then I get the same message for a Photoshop Camera Raw 6.5 Update.
When I looked at the customer service link, it took me to a page discussing the product not being qualified with a serial number or some such. Except, I have registered the product, and there doesn't appear to be any prompt to re-submit the serial number.
Is this something to do with the creative cloud not upgrading products not part of the suite? Something else? I appreciate any and all responses.
    Thank you

  • Acrobat won't install updates

I have installed Adobe creative suite 3 and adobe acrobat 9

Thanks for your feedback. I tried doing what you suggested. (It turns out that I actually have acrobat 8.1.0 standard)Acrobat tells me I need to install security update 8.1.2. I download this file from the link you sent me and tried to install it manually. Now I get a warning that tells me the window installer cannot install update because the program is missing or upgrade patch may be for a different version.
    Any thoughts

  • Apps won't install/update. Low memory.

For ipod touch 4g...using iOS 5.1--can someone tell me why my apps won't install all of a sudden? I thought it might be a memory problem since the diagnostic says my mem is low, but closing all apps in the dock didn't help. Neither did restarting or resetting the ipod.

It shows that I have 14.3GB free. What happens is that whenever I try to install an app it stays at the 'waiting' stage for a really long time. Then when I erase the app and try to reinstall it tells me that the app has already been downloaded and that I should check for available downloads. Installing the app from the computer works fine, but I don't understand why I can't do it from the ipod anymore.
