IPad 3 Can't Sync All iPhoto Photos

Here's the problem:
iPad2 has no photos on it, but can see all 14000 photos on my iMac iphoto library. Every time I upload photos, it adds it and the count increases. All is good.
iPad3 has no photos on it, but can only see about 2000 photos from my iMac iphoto library. New photos uploaded seem to be lost in the shuffle.
iCloud is enabled on iMac Mt Lion. iCloud is enabled on both iPads identically.
I've removed the icloud account and added it back.
I'm a bit confused. Any suggestions out there?

Thanks for reporting the photo problem. I am interested in such comments. I too am getting frustrated with
the use of my new Ipad 3 but for a different reason. I haven't even tried to sync photos yet. My frustration comes from receiving Yahoo Email with attachments and not being able to open the attachments. I went into the
[mail, calendar,...] settings to setup the two different Emails that I use. They are Gmail and Yahoo. I have strong
Wi-Fi signal in my home. I have a PC desktop for my main computer. I receive all of my mail perfectly with no problems opening attachments. I will be the first to admit that I am not up on Tech stuff and what makes it all work. But it just seems like this Ipad doesn't make life easier, just more frustrating.
I am also thinking about taking my Ipad 3 back for a full refund. Maybe in the future I will read about how problems like yours and mine are resolved with clear instructions on what to do. Thanks again Johneo1 and others who have already reported their frustrations. TLPutnam

Can't sync all my photos

I want to sync one album of pictures from iPhoto to iPad. I pick the album in iTunes to sync. There are 135 photos in the album (in iPhoto), but only 42 will move over to iPad as I sync it. Why can't I sync the whole album over to the iPad?

I got similar issues. The photos cannot be sync-ed correctly to my new ipad. I tried to remove the ipad cache file and re-sync, but everytime only a few of the photos had been sync-ed to ipad.
I googled the internet, found there are someone else encountered the same issue, seems like apple still not give any solution yet.

Can not sync certain iphoto photos to iphone

I have exported some vacation photos from my home computer to a removable disc. Then uploaded them to my work computer. I sync my iphone to this computer at work. They imported fine. But when I try to sync the vacation pix to the iphone, I get and error message "Some of your photos, including the photo “DSC01524.JPG”, were not copied to the iPhone “Rayz iPhone 4G” because they cannot be displayed on your iPhone. Did I export them the wrong way? The whole album I created does not get sync to the iphone. Can someone help me with the way I'm either export them to the disc or the way I'm importing them into iPhoto. Thanks

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.

It was tele tech. I couldn't open my Page Numbers etc. Frist tech chat idiot - following dumping few things in bin, asked me yo upgrade to Yosemite. But the problem still persists. This morning I was asked to do it via telephone and like yesterday, after wasting 20 min, I was put to this apparent Tech Queen ( my foot!). She eventually decided to reinstall Yosemite asked me to connect my external drive while I connected to her. She was moving cursor asking me to move files and delete and I followed her like a dummy. It took 3/4 hours and she called me 3 times once the lengthy process was completed. I suspected from the beginng for the fact that why should be asking me to click all my backup from the very beginning! Eventually she said I deleted... Or someone else or may be my children ! It was a blatant lie. I run my small business from home and I was simply staying in front of the Mac whole day! Children were at school. Then she said I must have used another computer! I only have laptop and the iPad. I will talk to their manager first thing in the morning. In the mean time please let me know as to how can I transfer photos, music etc back to my laptop from my Iphone and IPad .? I am will connect to laptop as I am worried the new BLANK iPhoto may supersede iphone/iPad stuff? Will it? Please let me know. I am not a very tech savvy person. My son who could help me, is in Manchester Uni and Inam in London.

I am facing problem while I connect to my iPad mini with MacBook Pro , it only sync photo from its taken by and from it camera roll only. It doesn't sync all the images... Like my all albums. All photos in library....

To copy photos that were originally synced from a computer you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
You should also be able to copy albums that you've created directly on the iPad via apps such as Simple Transfer (though I haven't tried it)

You need to open iMovie and it will have a event library called iPhoto Videos, click on that and the videos will load in the window next to it, then you make a new project in iMovie. Then open iDVD and make a new project then import the movies to the program then burn to a DVD..

I can not sync all photos in Aperture into Iphone 5. It always can sync some photos into 5. Then finish and prompts: "itunes can not synchronize (other)thousands of projects, and see more information in itunes". That means most of my photos can not seen on Iphone 5, it seems just can't import to 5. Is that the problem of Iphone or the pictures in Aperture, or even just because lack of sufficient space?

Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Your iOS device backup only includes data and settings stored on your device. It doesn’t include data already stored in iCloud, for example contacts, calendars, bookmarks, mail messages, notes, shared photo albums, iCloud Photo Library beta, My Photo Stream, and documents you save in iCloud using iOS apps and Mac apps.

Yes you can store images on an external hard dive and have them referenced in Organizer. It’s best to export copies to separate folders/subfolders and that will ensure iPhoto does not get corrupted.
Alternatively you could continue to use iPhoto with the Elements Editor set up in the iPhoto prefs as your external editing app. Then there is no need to use Organizer and no need to duplicate your images.
You can then call up photos directly from iPhoto as normal with the additional option e.g.
Double-click on a thumbnail to edit in iPhoto editor.
Control (right) - click on a thumbnail to edit in the elements app.

To see all the photos on the phone, including photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, deselect the "Hide Photos Already Imported" checkbox. If the camera contains photos that have already been imported into iPhoto, those photos are hidden by default.
