My iPad getting very warm when i use it for bit in longer time
Why my ipad is getting very warm when i use it for bit in longer time, any body has same experience?, Why my ipad is getting very warm when i use it for bit in longer time, any body has same experience?
The Temperature warning usually appears when the iPad has been set in a place where it gets so hot to the touch that you'd almost burn your hands if you picked it up. The temperature caused by the processor or charging the battery should never reach that level. If you feel your pad is too warm when you are using it Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Hello,
I bought my MacBook about one and a half month ago. It is my first Mac computer so this might be a stupid question, hehe...
I have noticed lately that the computer gets very warm. The computer is placed on a desk. But still after using it for a few hours it gets warm so I feel the heat on the keyboard when I type.
I didn't notice this in the begining, it has started the last week. Is it normal that the computer gets so warm it feels on the keyboard?
(more than a little feeling, I understand that I will feel alittle warm)
//JohannaSince your aware of this, Apple Notebooks: Operating Temperatures, and that temps can be around 80º C / 176º F when doing a CPU intensive chore, you may want to contact Apple support about this.

Hi there sbrianbald,
You may find the troubleshooting steps in the article below helpful.

Since I have installed iOS 4.3.3 on my 3GS it gets very warm and the accu gets empty in 2-3 hours!
What can I do?Find the app that is continuously trying to send data and failing.
Have you rebooted (reset) the phone? If that does not resolve the problem there are a number of diagnostics that you can try. A search of the forum for "battery problem" should be rewarding. You don't need to include the version in the search, as this can happen with any version. -
MacBookAir is frozen. Won't turn off. Getting VERY warm. Help, please!
Hi Katharine,
Hold down the power button until the screen turns black.
Then wait about a minute then press the power button once to turn it back on.
If you can't shut it down, if you're in the Walnut Creek I think you are, there's an Apple Store on South Main Street.
You can make a reservation at their Genius Bar in advance > Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar -
When I charge my iPad using the cord that came with it, there's not much heat in the charger part, but if I use an extension cord with it, the charger gets almost too hot to handle. I went into the Apple store to buy a longer cord so I could charge it while still using it, but they told me just to go ahead and use an extension cord.
Why does the charger get hot with an extension cord, but not when it's directly inserted into the wall socket? And is this going tone a problem?I use an extension cord with my power adapter to charge my new iPad and I do the same thing with my original iPad. The power block gets warm, but not "hot" when I use an extension cord. The power block gets warm if I plug it directly into a wall socket as well. Again - it gets warm but not "hot".
My first suggestion would be to try another extension cord. Maybe the one that you are using is faulty. -
The box sure gets very "warm", can you say HOT?
Is this normal?
I just bought it, have it connected wirelessly, sync'd with the MacBook Pro and streaming from the Mac Pro. Took forever to "download" just the iTunes even though I had 5 bars... "G", not "N", and we're only talking about 1500 songs.
Concerned about the heat of the box.
How do you turn it "Off"?
mmmmmwould be intresting to connect it cable to a watt measture gizmo
to see how much watt it use when being on and not doing anything
and how much it use when in the "standby'ish" mode
if all it does when in that mode is wating for wifi action and still use
48Watt then my router does it for much less heat or fans -
I was on my 6233 today for an hour and it got really warm, is it supposed to do this?
Phones will always build up heat when they're in use for long periods of time... Especially if you were holding it for the entire time (as opposed to having it on speaker phone or using a headset)
It's not unbearably hot is it?
If you're worried about the temperature, I'd pop it in to your nearest Nokia Service Centre and ask if they can check it out.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT....
thanksMaybe, next itme, read reviews on the new ipad before buying it.
Most of the people who buy a new iPad, knows about the heat issue and they are ready to take it.
I knew about the issue, that's why I bought an iPad 2 and I am so happy with it, no heat issues.
Don't worry too much, it is not going to melt the plastic, it has been tested, otherwise you would not have seen this in the shops.
Relax and enjoy that fantastic piece of technology!.
I have an Android phone and an iPad 2 and I love the competition!
Better experience with Apple, that's for sure. But better apps and new technology with Android.
cheers

please can you help? My apple I pad min version 7.1 (11D167) model MD531B/a. Capasity 13.4 GB keeps getting very hot and the charger plug. It seem to run down quickly too. It's been going on for a long time now. I have tried resetting it but this does nothing. Kind regards Rosemary.
Hi Rosemary,
These devices will get very warm (even uncomfortably so) when charging. From my own experience this is exacerbated if the device is in use at the time of charging or if the device is in a case that does not allow air to reach the device.
You will see a warning on the iPad's display in the form of a yellow triangle and exclamation mark long before the device reaches a dangerous temperature.
As long as the device is no warmer than a nice cup of coffee, you're in the clear.
As you have mentioned that your battery is draining quickly, this could indicate that the processes running at the time are rather intensive on the iPad's resources and this would naturally raise the temperature of the iPad.
If you have a look in Settings>General>Usage and look for the Standby and Usage times toward the bottom, are the two numbers significantly different? If you see that the Usage and Standby times are identical then you are experiencing a software issue where the device is not entering sleep as it should when not in use.

IPod Touch very warm with wifi enabled?
I noticed that with wifi enabled, my iPod Touch gets very warm to the, uh, touch. Also, battery life decreases significantly. Does this not happen for anyone out there? I can't tell if this is a defect or if this should be expected. I wonder if the device can overheat.
WiFi is very demanding on battery life regardless if it is a phone, computer or even the iPod. Be sure to turn it off if you are not expecting to be in a hotspot or don't plan on using it.

Hp ENVY m6-1178sa from left is very warm
Hi all, Hope someone can shed some light on this. My hp Envy has recently started getting very warm when in use, especially when playing games. I started noticing this about 4 weeks ago. The area that gets warm is on the left hand side, at the front. Basically, where your left had rests when using the laptop, at the side vent and at the front where the card reader is. It started with it just being warm but now it actaully gets hot to the point that it's almost painful to use. Doesn't seem to be impacting on the laptop performance though. Does anyone know what sits at that part of the laptop that could be over heating? Any ideas of what can be done to sort it? The laptop is about 2 years old. Hope someone can help. Thanks Alex
Hi ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Forums! A great place where you can find solutions for your issues, with help from the community!
I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP ENVY m6-1178sa Notebook and issues with heating up while playing games. Here is a document on overheating which has many fixes. I recommend to restore the BIOS defaults. You could restore the BIOS with this document selecting the reloading the BIOS default settings which could help with the fan allowing the Notebook to overheat. I hope this helps. Thanks. -
TS3274 My iPad gets very hot even with short term use. Is this normal?
My iPad gets very hot even with short term use. Is this normal?
I assume that you mean your new iPad - the 3rd generation model. No - that is not normal. Some users have reported this issue and it may be that you have a faulty device.
It may get a little warmer than the previous models of iPads but it should not get "very hot" under any circumstances. Return it - take it to an Apple Store and let a Genius have a look - contact Apple however you need to do so - and let them know about it - but that is NOT normal. -
My mini Ipad has somehow gone into a enlarged picture mode which is making it very hard for me to use. I cant seem to get it back to normal size. Can anyone advise me please. Val.
