Ipad 3 ios7 upgraded but my restore is lost

Like many others I have IO7 upgrade problems on IPAD3
The issue:
My (password secure) restore back-up in itunes is gone. Not even listed as if it ever existed. An older Iphone4 secure backup is still existing.
Any suggestions are welcome if I can find the restore somewhere.
What happened
Connected IPad3 with windows Xp 32 Itunes
Backup restore was created by itunes and per ipad configured policy it enforced a password for this backup
started the upgrade to IOS7
Once it completed and restarted, it ended up nowhere. Apple logo showed on ipad and the progress bar did not
progress
Followed instructions on websites and enforced DFU.
This did trigger the restore option in itunes.
From itunes it clearly did manage to remember my Ipad, as the name in itunes for the device was correct.
It also synched the applications etc with my ipad3
Did notice that a new restore point/ backup was created in itunes.
The ipad remained stuck in the Set-up screen and did not allow me to go to the normal home screen
When I select on ipad restore from backup, it brings up the message connect to itunes, but it dsoes not ever do that.
Totally stuck. Itunes is convinced that my ipad3 is set-up right (although it is a clean set-up andnot my data / restore form b4 upgrade)
the ipad does not allwo to be used
in itunes the old secure restores from before the upgrade are not listed.
So the question is... where do i find the (possibly older itunes version restore point ... as i wonder if I in the past 24 hours possibly upgraded itunes)
Meanwhile I have selected the NEW ipad option which managed to get me to access to the ipad
but the apps are there, and NO data is present from the past. It truly behaves as a new ipad (somewhat logical as this isafterall a NEw selection enforced by my choice.
at least it is working..
but I wish to reset the os back to my restore backup, but it is not to be found on the pc in itunes.
against better knowing, I list this... hoping someone can tell me where I could possibly find the older backup.

If you cannot see any backups of your iPad in iTunes, and you don't have a backup of your iPad stuff on an external hard drive or iCloud, then it looks as though your iPad backup has somehow been deleted.

Trying to reinstall apps on ipad after ios upgrade but not downloading.

Just upgraded both my ipad 1 and iphone 4 to iOs 5 and both had all the apps deleted after the upgrade. I'm manually reinstalling the apps but while the apps download and install fine on my iphone they are hung up in the "waiting" mode on my ipad. Checked and the ipad is connected to the internet since I can surf the web still on the ipad. Anyone else having issues like this?

Change to the correct store this way.
Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID
Tap your ID
Tap View Apple ID
Enter your password
Go to country/region in the popup window to change the store.
Or swipe down to he bottom of the App Store in the featured tab and tap on your Apple ID. Sign out of your ID and then sign in again and see if that changes the store for you.

Why can I not save apn settings on iPad after ios7 upgrade?

After upgrading my iPad2 to ios7, I am unable to save apn settings.

I still have the problem with one service provider, to fix it I use SIM from another internet provider which sim is recognized by my ipad, then I set APN for the first provider and reinsert again the first sim, and works fine.
Ocassionaly I have to do this proccess again when it is misconfigured or after new ios upgrade.
I have IOS 7.04 version

IPad 2, ios7, all but 4 random icons are gone.

Overnight, all but 4 of the iPad icons are gone, including Settings, Safari and all the default icons that came with the iPad. The device is not jail broken or modified. Tried a reset (home/off) and 2 icons came back - texting, and a random game - so now I have six. Tried searching the iPad and they're not there. I had the iPad backed up to my PC (Win 7), which of course due to Murphy's law was recently wiped by my IT department (and they also nuked iTunes that wasn't supposed to happen) and the iPad weirdness happened before I had a chance to reload iTunes on my PC. Any thoughts? The device has never been dropped or harmed. Any advice would be most appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks! I was just figured this out myself too. I was moving the app around and accidentally move one app over another and then it asks to create a folder name. Wow, I wasn't think that possible but this is way too easy. I can completely manage to organize my apps in my PB. Hmmm...I better dig into the user guide for more tricks. I love OS 2.0 now. Way to go RIM...

Missing key preview when typing characters in IPad After iOS7 upgrade

How can I enable the key preview when typing characters in Ipad?
After I upgraded my Ipad mini to IOS 7, the preview when hitting keys are not showing anymore.
Its so difficult especially when typing passwords wherein you wouldnt be able to know if you are hitting the right character.

Two things that might help. Reset all your settings and reset the phone. Use the Settings app to reset all settings. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that helps.
The update to iOS 7 added several new features and turned them all on. There are numerous suggestions for reducing battery life by turning off unneeded features. Go through Settings and turn off things you do not need or use. Especially look at Notifications, Push notices, Background App Refresh.

You can restore from iTune or iCloud backup if you have one.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Do you mean that you did a soft-reset ?
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't fix it then try closing Safari via the iPad's multitaskingbar and see if it works when you re-open it :double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag the Safari app's 'screen' up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
After trying the above you could also do a soft-reset (even if this is what you've already done it might be worth trying after clearing Safari's cache and closing the app via the taskbar) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

First thing to try if you have no sound at all, even in the Music App, try rebooting the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If you lost sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.

Still no luck - try cleaning the dock connector opening of the iPad with a soft brush and just a little bit of rubbing alcohol.
If that fails, then try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings. No data will be lost but all device settings have to be entered again.
Should you still have no sound after trying all of these steps, restoring the iOS software would be the next thing to try.

I have three AppleTV's where I work. I have two at home. I have an iPhone 4S running iOS7.0.2 which mirrors smoothly via AirPlay. I have a 2011 MacBook Pro and a 2011 iMac, both running Mountain Lion, both of which mirror smoothly through AirPlay. I have a 3rd generation iPad running iOS7.0.2, and since updating to iOS7, it will not mirror. The iPad will connect to the AppleTV, but the TV's and projectors only show a black screen when connected: the iPad screen looks as it should, except that the transitions become jumpy when connected via AirPlay. This is true on both networks: at home and at work. Another gentleman using the network where I work has the most recent iPad, also running iOS7.0.2, and he is having the same problem. I have tried to "Reset All Settings." I have tried to "Restore." Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone else experience difficulty mirroring the iPad through AirPlay since the release of iOS7.0.2?

No problems exists with the router (on either network described above) or the multiple AppleTV's which are able to mirror multiple other OSX & iOS devices seamlessly. The problem is strictly with the iPad and iOS7.

This is an iOS 7 AirPlay mirroring bug...
To make matters worse, the iPad automatically drops its mirroring session 45 seconds after it auto-locks.
3-4 mirroring sessions is all it takes for the iPad mirroring to freeze up.
After this happens, mirroring to an Apple TV only projects a blank screen.
Once the mirroring is hung, the only way to fix it is to restart the iPad.
Apple please fix this iOS 7 issue!
