IPad 3 Startup Image (NON-FULLSCREEN) - [HELP]

I am still seeing some strange flicker happen with my startup image. It loads the image in the right placement .. then shifts it up ( seems to be shifting it to Y = 0 )
I am including the following images ( I have also tried removing the Default.png image and the problem still persists ).
Default-Landscape - 1024 x 748
Default-Landscape@2x - 2048 x 1496
Default - 1024 x 748
Any ideas ?

The splash screen sizes were always written up based on you keeping the status bar showing. The advice has been modified now I think, and you should be able to use 1024x768 and 2048x1536 images, which is correct for full screen use. If you do keep the status bar showing it will happily sit on top of the top 20 pixels of the image. So, change to those values and things should be ok.
BTW, Defalut.png is just for iPhone size, and is portrait, even if your app is landscape. You want it to be 320x480, and you can have [email protected] as 640x960 for iPhone Retina.

I've been looking around all over the Internet and haven't been able to find an answer to this question; hopefully this forum will help me.
I know that there is a apple-touch-startup-image meta tag that can be used to set a startup image on iOS web applications. I know that if there is an image provided with dimensions of 768 pixels wide and 1004 pixels tall, it will be used when launching a webapp in portrait mode. However, as far as I can tell, there is no way to set a default image when launching in landscape mode. This seems kind of silly, so I'm hoping that somebody has heard of a selector of some kind that can be used for this.

1/ Add the "Launch image (iPad)" key to your application Info.plist file
2/ Set the value of this key, for example "MyStartupImage.png"
3/ Include 2 image files in your application, named "MyStartupImage-Portrait.png" and "MyStartupImage-Landscape.png"

You need to turn off find my ipad in settings
Then restore to factory settings ipad will then be
as new then enter you Apple ID and password

Unfortunately, your iPad went into recovery mode and must be restored now. There is no getting around this. You need to use iTunes to do this as well. Read this for more instructions.

IPad startup screen scaling

I have an Air for iOS app that supports iPhone and iPad. I have included the following screeens:
Default-portrait.png -- 768 x 1024 for iPad startup
[email protected] -- 640 x 960 for iPhone 4 startup
Default.png -- 320 x 480 for iPhone 3GS
On the iPad, the image draws quickly, but is blurry and scales down as soon as it loads -- it looks like it is loading scaled larger than it's native size then popping down. And the image itself is saved as a lossless png, but draws as a very blurred pic.
Anyone else run into this?

Could you rename your png files as:
Default.png - iPad
Default@2x~iphone.png iPhone4
Default~iphone.png iPhone 3GS?

If you have a Mac, it's pretty easy. But you don't (should I make a pitch for you to get a MacBook Pro in the future)?

Handbrake and iPad 2 - image too stretched

Hello,
I am trying to convert some home-made DVD's (family etc) to video on the ipad.
I have ripped using DVD Decrypter, but whenever I use Handbrake too convert to ipad, the image is too squashed (larger black bars at top and bottom).
All I want it to do is take the original image and convert it into a file format for iPad. Can anyone help?

Thanks for help. I rip using DVD Decrypter first as I like to have the high quality VOB file for future use.
In Handbrake, I'm selecting iPad preset. Next to 'source' the resolution is 720x436 so I am unable to change it to 480, however when exporting using these settings for some reason the widescreen file is squashed ie bigger black bars than the original.
What should the anamorphic setting be?

Horizontal Toolbar as startup image.

I have a form which was developed with forms 5. In this form are no blocks and no items. There is only one horizontal toolbar which contains an image. This is a kind of startup image. Now I want to compile this form with Forms6i but when I try this I get the following error message:
FRM-30041: Position of item places it off of canvas.
Item: DUMMYITM
Block: DUMMYBLK
Form: MAINFORM
FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output.
How can I handle this with Forms6i.

There is no canvas, so the toolbar fills out the complete screen. The item is only a dummy you can`t see it at the object navigator or elsewhere.

Images in fullscreen?

Judging from the Multitouch Books already available, it's should be possible to pinch open many (if not all) images to fullscreen.
When I insert images in iBooks Author though, they cannot be opened to fullscreen on the iPad. Doesn't matter whether i insert them inline with the text or not. (When they are not inline with the text, to make it worse, they won't even show up in portrait mode.)
I did try to use the image gallery widget populated with only one image, but it iBooks crashes every time i open the page containing it.
What are your experiences?

Furthermore for those that tndom's answer wont work, i finally figured out what we are missing.
If you are in the case of Daniel Gardner1 (see above), that it was the same problem i had, try and go to
Inspector-> Wrap (it is the third choice from the left) -> and Floating or Anchored for your image!
This should do the trick finally!
edit: i also managed to get a picture into FullScreen mode using Interactive Image from Widgets and deleting all the explanatory bubbles from inside. You can also have Title this way and furthermore that swirly effect when you go in and out of fullscreen,

IPad startup video option

Is there an iPad startup video option (non-jailbroken, non third-party, etc.) that would accommodate custom videos?

There's no way to make an iPad play a video when it is turned on.
There's no way to make it auto-start an application without user activity.
However it does have a 'kiosk mode' that you can put it into, which prevents anyone quitting an application. So if you can put it into a video-playing application then you can lock it down like that until the battery loses power. I've seen people use Keynote, with several videos loaded, in this way.

If not, what happens if you remove the Apple ID on the iPad and then set it in Airplane Mode (allow a couple of minutes at this point) followed by re-adding the Apple ID ?
What, if any error messages are appearing on the Mac when you try to launch the App or Login to the iMessages server ?
Is the Apple ID linked to an iCloud account ?
In Messages 7 (Mountain Lion) this did not seem to be important but it seems it is in Mavericks/Messages 8
