IPAD 3 wont connect to MIFI 4620L when other wifi signals are present

I work in a large building with multiple wifi signals bouncing around. My MIFI 4620L works perfectly with all my devices everywhere except in the building in which I work (where it is most needed).  Jetpack reception is good. IPAD recognizes the jetpack, but when I try to connect it either simply wont connect or it connects and disconnects in a fast repetitive cycle.  Any Ideas?

    Hi knox99,
It's a bummer when you are having trouble using your device in the place you need it most! I'm here to work with you and get to the root cause of the issue. Please try the steps below for some troubleshooting.
Connect to any device and then navigate to 192.168.1.1 . Then, login using the password on the Mifi label. Once completed, please click on Advanced and then Settings and change the available Wi-fi Connects to one. At this point, please retest at your work location. Please let me know if you need additional assistance, thank you!

  • My IPad 2 also will not connect to ITunes for  updates and purchased apps.  It shows Waiting for several minutes then says it cannot connect to ITunes.  All other wifi functions are working fine on it.

I see this is happening to a lot of folks today.  Has anyone found a solution?

It is not properly connected to the network.
Make sure location is set correctly
DNS should be on auto (settings - general - network)
    Try ethernet
Signal strength on device won't account for issues, you would need a network report from istumbler, netstumbler or similar. This will show accurate signal strength along with noise and nearby networks

There is no such thing as an "SG3" or "SG4".  Did you possibly mean a 3GS and iPhone4?
It has always been very basic to ensure that a backup exists of your media and other important files.  Computers fail, hard drives crashes... things happen.  Do you not have a backup?  The iPhone, like all iDevices is NOT a backup of your media, but rather a mirror of the content in the iTunes library on your computer.
If your contacts, pics, etc are not on your computer, no backups of the iPhone exist, and they are not on the phone, they are gone.
No one can magically make them re-appear.

  • Ipads wont connect to my uverse wifi but other devices will?

We just bought two of the latest IPADs.  For some reason (after a storm) no apple products will connect to my home wifi network.  my non apple devices will connect (Android phones and Microsoft laptops).  At&t Uverse is the ISP and they are wanting $50 per machine to configure my router to accept the apple products.  I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.  I took one of the IPADs to work and it had no problem connecting to the WIFI at the office.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
    3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
        •    Launch Settings app
        •    Tap on Wi-Fi
        •    Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

  • Ipad wont connect to computer

ipad wont connect to computer say ipad not turned on.

You have never been able to connect the iPad to any computer nor charge the iPad when connected to the included power adaptor?
If so, have you tried using a different USB dock connector cable to rule out a problem with the existing cable?
If yes with no change, the iPad and all package contents include a one year warranty. If you are in the U.S., you can call AppleCare or make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.

  • IPad wont connect to cisco dpq3925 wifi

    Hello All,
I've come to this forum in hope that I can obtain my answer, as Apple Support, Cox Communications, and Cisco has been unable to help me with my issue.  I own the latest iPad model, and I own a wireless router made by Cisco, Model # DPQ3925.   I'm able to connect via wifi using my laptop, gaming consoles, wife's kindle, however I am unable to connect via wifi to my home router.
I also had a friend bring his ipad mini, and he was unable to connect either.   Any suggestions?  In case you're interested, below is what I've attempted:
    1. Reset of router and ipad
    2. Network reset for both
    3. Changed router name and password
    4. Factory restore on ipad
    I've tried just about everything.

    Some things to try first:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

  • Ipad wont connect or reset

My ipad wont connect to my mac, so i tought i moght be a good idea to reset to factory settings.. but when i do that, is just keep showing loading screen for hours... help me!?

Your reset to factory settings was not a good choice. In your circumstances I WOULD HAVE recommended -
Firstly, make sure that your device is not hidden (left hand pane). If it just reads device then toggle between SHOW and HIDE.
Secondly, try all the other ports on your computer, even a number of times.
Thirdly, if you have another computer try plugging your device into it without taking any action, give it a moment, remove it and try it back in your other computer again.
Failing all that, see here - http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1591
HOWEVER, in your present circumstances I hope you have a backup and I suggest you go down the route of putting your iPad into recovery mode and doing a Restore from your latest backup. See here for the guidance -http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 and note the Additional Information at the end.

I have a problem connecting via wi fi when my wife uses her PC

    Hello GJSCHUBERT,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities. The easiest solution may be to simply restart your router, but you can also see these resources:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398
Check to see if you have a self-assigned IP address:
    1. Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you are connected. Then tap .
    2. If your IP address is 169.254.xxx.xxx, see this article.

  • Restoring a Domain Controller - When other DC's are available

I'm trying to get some clarity and confidence on the proper way to restore domain controllers.  here are my questions:
    1. What is the proper way to restore a Domain controller into an existing Forrest where other domain controllers are present when you have a system state backup taken by Windows Server Backup?
1a. In this scenario - will i need to enter into DSRM mode prior to booting the server?
    2. What is the proper way to restore a Virtualized Domain Controller into an existing Forrest where other domain controllers are present when you have a 3rd party image based backup solution that has HyperV VSS writers?
2a. In this scenario - will i need to enter into DSRM mode prior to booting the server?

    1. What is the proper way to restore a Domain controller into an existing Forrest where other domain
controllers are present when you have a system state backup taken by Windows Server Backup?
You can restore the DC using two possible methods:
Method 1: Do a non-authoritative restore using a system state backup. Do not do an authoritative restore so that you do not lose recent changes here.
Method 2: If the DC is an FSMO holder then size the FSMO roles to another DC, do a metadata cleanup and then re-install the server and promote it again as a DC. If it is not an FSMO holder then simply do a metadata cleanup and then re-install
the server and promote it again as a DC.
1a. In this scenario - will i need to enter into DSRM mode prior to booting the server?
Yes. You need to get inside DSRM mode to restore the DC from a system state backup.
    2. What is the proper way to restore a Virtualized Domain Controller into an existing Forrest where
other domain controllers are present when you have a 3rd party image based backup solution that has HyperV VSS writers?
    You can read that: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/d2cae85b-41ac-497f-8cd1-5fbaa6740ffe(v=ws.10)#backup_and_restore_considerations_for_virtualized_domain_controllers
Also, see that about DC cloning in Windows Server 2012 and higher: http://blogs.technet.com/b/askpfeplat/archive/2012/10/01/virtual-domain-controller-cloning-in-windows-server-2012.aspx
2a. In this scenario - will i need to enter into DSRM mode prior to booting the server?
You can find the details in the links I shared.

  • IPad 2 connects to personal hotspot but not wifi

I dropped my ipad2, but all seems to be working fine except for my wifi. What doesn't seem to make sense is that my wifi will see and connect to my iphone 5S personal hotspot but doesn't see my wifi router.  It is also picking up other wifi signals from my smart tv. If there is a wifi hardware issue, shouldn't that impact the ability to connect to hotspot?

    Hello Bella9678
Start with going into Settings > General > Reset and Reset Network Settings, then try to connect to your Wi-Fi network. Check out the article below for more troubleshooting options to get your Wi-Fi working again.
