Ipad 4 having multitasking gestures and scrolling issues

I have an iPad 4 and after the iOS 8 update the multitasking gestures stopped working. They work at their will. I waited for the 8.0.1 to solve it, it didn't nor did 8.0.2 and even the latest iOS 8.1 have no affect on it.
Another problem is the scrolling is so buggy in several apps, especially in notes.
Is there a fix or workaround?

Have you tried resetting the iPad or resetting all settings?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Reset all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.

Why don't first-gen iPad users deserve Multitasking Gestures???!!!

As one of the early adopters of iPad, I feel betrayed that I am left out on such an important feature of Multitasking Gestures in the new iOS 5 update!!!
Why???? What's the good reason for denying us the convenience of this feature? If for any reason the gestures might slow down iPad1 due to its inferior hardware capabilities, couldn't you trust the users to turn it off instead of taking that out of our hands completely?
It's impossible for you not to understand that iPad users want and like the gestures. And there is no excuse for not providing it to all iPad users.

I Suppose you are right in that sense, but what they can control the 6 plus' signature on the App Store and giving it access to the iPad version of applications.
Also the gestures and button functions of iOS are controlled by Apple...
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I've grown to love the 6 Plus, I just wish I could make more use of its bigger size...

Selecting more than one photo and scrolling issues

After selscting a photo then holding my shift key and scrolling down to select more photos, my browser window bounces back to my first selected photo before I can select the group I have scrolled down to. Any ideas??

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You are trying to select all of the photos between the first selected photo and the next selected photo, right?
If you select just two photos (Command key depressed) and start to drag do you get a red circle with the number of photos you've selected come up? If not then the problem may be that you don't have the Helvetica font installed. If so launch Font Book and check it out. You may have to get it off your system install disks (Pacifist) and install it manually.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Expansion and Scrolling Issue

I have an issue for HFM and Planning reports (v1.1.2.1).
On a report, when a parent member is expanded (and allow expansion is enabled), the screen scrolls back to the top of the window.
Apparently the scrolling to the top did not occur in the legacy reports (v 11.1.1.3)
Any ideas if this is a setting that I am missing or if it is a version issue?

What you are seeing is a product issue,this has been fixed in an interim patch release of FR,but as FR patches are cumulative in nature,I would suggest you to apply the latest FR PSU and validate behavior,I have listed details of the patch for your reference

In a Financial Reporting report with expansions defined, when opening an expanded member the report displays at the top level member position instead of maintaining the position on the expanded member.
This PSU can be downloaded from the My Oracle Support site,please ensure you read through and understand the instructions in the patch's read me before having it applied.

IPad mini with retina display and airplay issues?

Hey guys, So i bought an iPad mini with retina display last week. Have an ipad 3 at home that we've been using before that. For some reason, using Airplay from the Mini doesnt seem to work properly. I use the same apps (Dailymotion, Youtube and a few links online) on the iPad 3 and they work fine. But whenever i use in my mini, the video stops after a few mins. it stops playing on the tv, and continues on the ipad. Is anyone else having the same problem? BTW all my devices have up to date software so that is not an issue i think . .Be good to get some help/ feedback /suggestions about this . Thanks

Stickies and scrolling issue

I am sorry if this in the wrong section. I am not sure if this would go here or not.
I use Stickies on a daily basis, I was using a sanwa mouse with no problems until yesterday when I switched to a mighty mouse. That's where I noticed the problem.
I noticed that after hooking up the mighty mouse I could not scroll anymore in the Stikies program. It scrolls fine in any other program. I then checked the help section of Stickies and noticed that the scrolling function was not even possible with stickies. Now knowing this, I still can not understand why the Sanwa mouse the scrolling feature is possible and if it is possible then why can't it be possible with the mighty mouse. Also as a note, if it it comes up, I did not install any software when I bought the original Sanwa mouse. I just plugged it in and it worked.
Could someone please help me figure out a way to get my mighty mouse to scroll in Stickies. I would hate to have to stop using this program.

My iphone start having speed, keyboard and wifi issue after ios8.1.3 update

Hi community, i am using i phone 5, i was highly satisfied with that one, With Fast speed and good network and wifi coverage,
never had any issue. since i am using ios7.
But the time since i updated my i phone 5 (16gb / ios7.1.2) to ios8.1.3 i start having issues which are never ending.
* Slow down speed of keyboard and its strucks while typing.
* Using application are not faster than before.
* on ios 7 i was getting 35-45 mbps download and 25-40mbps upload speed, while after updating ios 8.1.3 it became slow to 9.68 downloading speed and uploading is 1.68mbps which became worst.
* i deleted my all data freed my memory 5.5 gb after update still its very slow.
* reset ed multiple time even by iTunes and i cloud, but nothing works
* i backup-ed data on i cloud and while restoring its taking more than 2 days just to restoring my all data.
meanwhile my iphone 5, 16gb is now became bunch of problems
please apple i dont want to loose my device please help me out plz fix these bugs i tried every diagnosis step nothing have been solved.

Adobe Reader xi: transparent toolbars and scrolling issues

Recently upgraded from v9 to v 11 on pc. Adobe Reader starts and opens PDFs. However, where the toolbars would normlly appear at the top of the screen they do not; instead there is space for the toolbars but the desktop is visible instead of the toolbars. The rest of Adobe Reader is visible on screen, e.g. the text of the pdf document being viewed, it is just the toolbars that don't appear; instead you can see through to the desktop where the toolbars would normally be. The toolbars are, in other words, completely transparent but the rest of Adobe Reader is visible. Other symptoms:
- On scrolling within a PDF the text of the PDF becomes blurry and repeats itself down the screen
- After a moment I also get an acrord32.exe error.
- Tried to upgrade to Adobe Flash 11.7.700.169 and install failed: 'Unable to load application configuration'.
- During all this System Restore crashed loosing previous restore points; this may be a coincidence.
BACKGROUND

Having a drag and drop issue, wondering if the problem is the player...

I have a game that was working fine, recently the client complained that on a mac and in Safari and Firefox the game is broken, but it works fine in Windows. It's a card game, the problem is on a mac you can't drop a card. I develop on a mac, and the game worked fine for almost a year. Has anyone heard of any Mac flash player issues?

Are you exporting to QuickTime Movie, or to QuickTime Conversion? For iDVD, you need to export to QuickTime Movie. Exporting to QT Conversion will kill the quality if you are moving the video from FCE to iDVD.
The file size per se makes no difference.
What size (pixel dimensions) are the photos that you put into your 1920x1080 sequence? Also, exactly what are the sequence properties ... is it 1920x1080i60 ... or i50? In North America it should be i60.
853X480 is an odd frame size. Where are you seeing this number? It would appear to be DV-NTSC, which has a frame size of 720x480. Your 1920x1080 frame size would not be DV-NTSC, it would be Apple Intermediate Codec. DV and AIC will look different, for sure.
Also, your quality setting in iDVD can affect the final video. You may want to check that also (in iDVD Preferences > Projects). Set it to Professional Quality if at all possible.

Zooming and Scrolling issue

I add multiple <s:Group> objects to the "continousView" object. Each object is approximately of size 1500 X 1900 and I have around 700 of them. Each of this group object, I paint an image, whenever this group object comes within the viewport.

I am facing a couple of problems:
a) When I zoom in (Set all the object.scaleX=zoomValue, scaleY=zoomValue) and zoom out on the child objects. The scroller moves up and down. So the current page out of the view. How can I prevent the scroll thumb to move, when I am adjusting the zoom?
b) Secondly, this approach of loading 700 placeholders (s:Group object) is very slow. How can make it more fast and efficient?

ItemRenderer with virtual layout works pretty well. My performance has improved significantly now. I can easily scroll pages in and out of view.
Here is a trouble. I need to add few elements to each page. Like buttons and all. Sometimes, the ItemRenderer is not refreshed as soon as it comes into view. How can I force it load everything I want?
Steps when the data property is set into the ItemRenderer:
a) A bitmap image binary is converted to bitmap data. (I am caching all the bitmap binaries. But only convert to full blown BitmapData, when item renderer code is executed
b) Add few controls to the renderer.
c) Once the bitmap data is created. refreshPage method is called. Should I implement this inside overriden updateDisplayList method?

Anyone struggling with gestures and font issuer since upgrading to Lion?

I am really frustrated since "uprgrading " to Lion!! I no longer have pinch and zoom functions except in safari!
wont work in any other program, including my desktop! I have tried resetting trackpad, restarting-- any other suggestions?
I also can't adjust the font size anymore? In mail I can only adjust the side bar to small or large? No controls over font in address book.
Am I missing a setting?

Scrolling issues on "IPod touch" and "IPad mini"

I have a public website in SharePoint Office 365.
With mobile redirect off, the vertical scrolling on IOS devices are very slow. This is not the case with my Samsung notepad phone.
My question is: are there rendering and scrolling issues with IOS devices with SharePoint.

The most common problem you will find using SharePoint 2010 in Google Chrome is the missing scrollbar. This issue can be easily solved by replacing 1 line of code. Yes,
ONE line.
Step 1
In the Master page, look for this:

HP C4440 ALL -IN- ONE PRINTING AND INK ISSUES

I have an HP C4440 ALL-IN-ONE that seems to be having some printing and ink issues.
Ink keeps saying it is in backup mode
and its also saying it is not detected or intalled
this is not a new cartridge and has been used before without any problems.
i tried using all of the solutions hp gives you with no help.
all ink levels are detected and i am also using color ink cartridge.

Hi! I have same problem too. After printer (HP B110b) turn on and then off, all my Wi-Fi devices lose network. I should reboot my router every time after use printer =(((This problem only with Wi-Fi. All ethernet-connected devices woks OK.
My network: D-Link DIR-320 with firmware 1.21
Wi-Fi: hidden network with WPA/WPA2 and PSK mode.
Wi-Fi devices: netbook with WinXP SP3, netbook with Win7 Home Premium x32, Sony-PRS-T2 reader and Galaxy S3 phone (last 2 based on android).
