IPad 4 prints small on Epson airprint printer

Either by using Airprint from Safari or either Airprint or Google Cloud Print (GCP) from Chrome yields an A5-sized printed in the top/middle of the A4 page. I'm trying to print a pdf in A4 format to an A4 page.
All settings are correct as far as I can find. There's nothing to control anything size-related in Airprint, GCP has settings for papersize and enlarging and such which are all set to normal. Changing them doesn't help anyway.
I'm getting everything at quarter-size.
All other printers and even the Samsung Note tablet print fine. Everything is wireless on the same network. Printer is an Epson WF3540***. In the config of the wireless section there's nothing to control page output.
Is there anything I can do? My iPad is a 16Gb so it's rather strapped for memory. I'd rather not get another app to control something that shouldn't be happening anyway.

Apparently the problem was temporary.
Although I had this problem before, this time it was 1 .pdf that only printed to a quarter of its size from the webpage in Chrome using either Airprint or Google Cloud print (GCP). This pdf was generated by a form in that webpage. Printing in GCP, paper size was set to A4, no enlargement was specified and it was set to fill the page, but it still only printed A5 size on an A4 sized paper. Of course none of that can be specified in Airprint. After saving it to iBooks it did print well.
Other pdf downoaded in Chrome did print fine from Chrome using both Arirprint and Google Cloud Print.
So I can't isolate the problem well enough. This topic may be closed.

Printopia is another option but be aware that since these solutions effectively act as a print server and AirPrint receiver, they require a computer to be running on the same WiFi network.

Can someone help me? My iPad stopped discovering my HP AirPrint printer. So I cant print at all with no printer to slect. Both printer and iPad are on same WiFi network and connected.

Thanks so much pjl1213. I was struggling with the same issue and spent hours re-booting my ipad, iphone and the printer. And of course after re-booting the Actiontec Router everything was fine. Best to cover EVERYTHING in the re-boot.

Try rebooting your iPad by pressing and holding the Home and Sleep buttons at the same time until the Apple symbol appears (Ignore the power off slider).

I have an Epson USB printer CX7400 (does not have AirPrint) connected to an Apple Airport Express that is connected to an Apple Time Capsule wirelessly.
I can print from my MacBook and other Ubuntu systems.
But...
I have iDevices (iPad etc) that I would like to print from to.
I have a MacBook pro with the current operating system and updates and notice that I can share the printer on the network.
I have seen posts (might be old?) where that was enough to print from and iPad or iPhone etc?
Is that still true?

No, but you might be able to print from the iOS devices but installing an App like Printopia on your Mac. Printopia has a free trial, so you will know if it will work before you buy.

In the printer driver (accessed through the Page Setup button) set the Advanced tab to borderless. Then in the right hand panel under Layout set all the margins to zero.

The iMac will print if it is connected to the printer directly via USB. The iMac continues to connect to the Internet wirelessly. I've tried resetting the printer and ensuring the driver is up to date, but no joy.

10.8.3 seems to crash when printing to an epson R2400 printer

I am using Lighroom to print to my Epson R2400 printer, when I do the computer crashes. This was working fine before the latest OS update. Is anyone else having trouble with this? How can I get my printer to work again?

My iPad cannot find my HP AirPrint printer HP 3050 . We are on the same network

I have recently converted all our family devices to Apple. My Mini-Mac has found my printer as well as my Mac Air. The only device that has not is my wife's iPAD. She is on the same home network as my other systems, but no results. Software updates are current on all. The local Apple store said that I am pressing the right Find Printer tab. What else can I adjust to link up here?

The HP 3054 j610a is not an AirPrint printer. The 2011 model, the HP 305xA j611, does support AirPrint. The list is here:

You will need to install an App like Print Central on the iPad to try to print to the printer. It will allow you to print to most printers. Check with their support folks if you need more info.

Ipad 2 can't find AirPrint Printer

Printer Canon MG8250 is an AirPrint enabled Printer.
Latest Printer Firmware V3.02.
Devices are on the same (one and only) Wireless Network.
Printer has paper and ink.
No errors displayed on printer console.
"No AirPrint Printers Found"
Any suggestions, other than putting the same problem to Canon ?

Thanks. Restarting the iPad did allow the app (Email) to see the printer. Unfortunately it doesn't stay that way.
1. Print an Email
2. Close Email
3. Do something else for a while
4 Open Email and try to print
5. AirPrint can't find printer
6. Restart iPad - now iPad can see the printer
What's happening is that the iPad "loses" the printer after an indeterminate time and I can only get it back by restarting the iPad.
This is exactly the same problem I have with getting, and losing, AirPlay.

Mac OS X update (3/19/13) crashes my iMac. After installing an automatic OS X update, every time I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 to print to my Epson R1800 printer (which worked perfectly just before the update), my entire system crashes.

What you are experiencing is called a Kernel Panic and is NOT caused by the OS, they can be difficult to troubleshoot as they can be software or hardware relate. The X Labs writes and excellent article about them, in Kernel Panics. Please read it carefully. In order to troubleshoot your KP you need to post your last KP log, Apple provides instructions for doing so in How to log a kernel panic. Please follow the instructions in that article and post your complete KP report.
As mentioned previously it is NOT caused by OS X! There are common causes, including RAM issues, outdated applications, hard disks failing etc. By posting your KP log we can look at it and determine if it's software and if it is then point you to what is causing the issue.

Printing Problems with Epson R200 Printer

When I try to print from Aperture my prints come out "flat" and the colors are off. When I export the the same file to PS Elements 4.0 my prints come out great. I would prefer to not have to do this. Here is some background information on what I have tried to do so far to correct this problem:
1. I have searched this forum backwards and forwards to try and find an answer - no luck!
2. Purchased a Spyder2 monitor calibrator
3. Wasted a lot of paper trying various settings.
4. Yes - I have read the two articles on the Aperture site regarding printing and calibration. I have followed both of these articles and still get poor prints when printing from Aperture.
5. I have met with the genius at my local Apple Store to work through the problem. He informed me that he only prints from Photoshop and did not really know how to solve my problem.
6. Purchased the Aperture 1.5 book from Apple to see if I could find out anything else that I had not already tried.
Help please, what am I missing? It seems to me that all of the books written on Aperture stress printing books and not photo prints as their main area on printing. Can I get the same results printing from Aperture as I can printing from Photoshop Elements?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'll attempt to answer my own question. After much trial and error along with a lot of wasted paper and ink I have found the source of the problem. Aperture works exactly like it should if you follow Apple's recomendations for printing. My problem was that the profiles supplied for my printer by Epson are horrible! I purchased a Spyder 2 Suite screen calibrator to try and fix this problem and did not have any luck until I ran the included Print FX software and created a new profile for my printer (Epson R200). The prints are now coming out great and virutally indistinguishable from those printed via Photoshop Elements. The clue to fixing this is that when I turned on "on-screen" proofing and selected my old printer profile the output did match the screen. Unfortuntely the screen images were not using the full gamut of color (hence the flat pictures) because it was gettting it's information from the Epson ICC Profile. In summary, if you are suffering from this problem find a way to create your own profile for your printer. There are expensive methods which involve purchasing a spectrophotometer. I took the middle of the road route and created a profile using a software only profiler (Print FX). I'm sure that depending on your printer you could download a better profile on the web. Either way you get it done you'll be happier. NOTE: I guess some printers come with better profiles than others which would explain why some people don't have any problems.

Can't print on new epson R3000 printer from PE 11 on Mac running 10.10.1. Spent hour with Epson tech support. worked fine last week with Epson R2880 and same OS.

All drivers were updated. Printing works fine with other software.

Still not printing.
In the meantime have done the following: --
1. Launched terminal, typed sudo chmod a+x /usr/libexec/cups/backend/*, followed with pw when prompted, then quit terminal.
Tested printer: no go. Printer setting shows "In use, last used". Printer dialog says "waiting for printer to become available".
2. Launched terminal, typed ls -l /usr/libexec/cups/backend.
