Ipad 4 screen is jumping; tried reset, no joy
My new iPad 4 screen jumps all over for the first minute or so; tried resets, nothing helps
Yes, it happens with all apps, including ebooks, email and when I log in to my bank account! The key board flashes, usually k or i , and writes emails saying for instance , kikiki....etc.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

My Ipad 2 screen went black, tried all fixes i could find. none worked. any ideas?
My 13 month old Ipad 2 screen went black while sitting on the table. NO drops or damage. Tried both reboots, synced with itunes (it was there, fully charged) and rest to factory settings. still no screen. now the store wants to charge me a minimum of $80 just to look at it. Any ideas?

Put a USB 2.0 hub between the device and the computer.
Try a different USB 30-pin dock-connector cable.

There may be third-party software installed that modifies your default packet size in Windows by inserting one or more TcpWindowSize entries into your registry. Your default packet size being set incorrectly can cause this error. Contact the manufacturer of the software that installed the packet-size modification for assistance. Or, follow this article by Microsoft: How to reset Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) to reset the packet size back to the default for Windows.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, bypassing any routers, hubs, or switches. You may need to restart your computer and modem to get online.
Try to restore from another known-good computer and network.

i have seen this before on my home PC (on a lap top now) it is impossible for me to correct so i have to use IE to play pogo (i dont like IE it is slower) i click on a game, i go to a game room, and a window normally pops up showing the tables. normally i click on a seat and it takes me to a new window and the game board. NOW, when this first window pops up, it is aboout 1/4 size of my screen, but immediately reduces in size to about 1/6 of my screen. wnen the game loads, i cannot view the whole screen only part of the screen, as if it is zoomed in. I tried your suggestion and reset the zoom, no help.... i changed the zoom level manally.... no help.
this also happens in scrabble and most other games. it is related to the java i am sure, but it only happens on firefox. How do i correct this. I have uninstalled, and reinstalled firefox. i have had this happen on the older version of firefox. it happens on multiple computers so it isnt just one computer.

pleaseI should have explained further. The game opens in a new window over to the upper left of my screen, leaving the original page underneath. I tried minimizing it so that I could get to my toolbar and did the View > Zoom > Reset. This has no effect. The lower portion of the game is still not showing. Using other browsers the window or frame of the game is much larger, therefore everything shows.

Ipad 1 screen black, need to reset to factory default
After 4 years of use, my ipad 1 has 1/2 screen black (looks like pixel failure). I have a password on the ipad that I can not unlock because I can not see the whole screen. I want to be able to set it back to factory default (wipe all data). I tried the home/power switch combination, sync via Itunes option, but it is not wiping my data. My screen is still partially viewable.
How do I wipe all data so I can dispose of the ipad?

Hey, i have been trying to update recently purchased ipad to ios 6, i am a developer and have registered it in portal, when it trys to update the os it says "This device is not part of the iphone developer progam. if you are a developer, please register your device in the iphone developer program portal." anyone else having this problem and or know how to solve it? i have restored the ipad to ios 5.1.1 and tryed updating it and havent had any sucess. Iphone 4s can't find cellular network in Detroit airport. iPad logged right on. Tried reset network and hard boot and airplane off on. No luck. Any ideas?
So, I can see that nobody had any ideas. In case anyone is interested, I did cave and get an Airport Extreme. My iPhone 4s connected in about 3 seconds, as did my MacBook, my iMac and my old 3G phone. The router is in the EXACT SAME SPOT as my Netgear router. No reception problems, no dropping wifi.
The Sony Blu-Ray connected on the second attempt, but the TiVos are another story. Reset my N-adapters to factory default and then did setup, found the network just fine assured me that my wifi was configured to the new router, but the TiVos refuse to connect. It's always something! lol I'm sure somebody can tell me how to fix this. -

You held down the home & power buttons until the Apple logo appeared? This could take as long as 30 seconds or more.

My iPad screen has gone black. I have tried resetting it with the sleep and home buttons and it only flashes the apple on the screen for a nano second and then it goes black again. I can even hear notifications arriving, but I cannot see anything...I'd rather not reset it to the factory settings as I have a lot of things I worry about using. Either way seems to me that the system itself is working since I can hear it working, but its the screen that isn't. It has not been dropped and has been in a case for years! Please help!
When the power is on and I press the home button, I can slide my finger where the slider bar "would be" and it makes the noise as if its "opening" flashes a blue screen then returns black...

I have the same issue on my Ipad Air. Screen will not rotate, I have reset the settings, still only displays in the portrait mode. A couple of interesting things though. a couple of days before it completely locked up into portrait I would have to turn the ipad off and hold it in the orientation I wanted because it would not change orientation after I was in an app.
Also, I just played a Netflix video and it was in landscape mode.
Any ideas?

My daughter has dropped her 2 week old ipad 2, it has a black screen with a little back ground light, but will not turn on . i have tried resetting and holding both the reset and sleep buttons down with no responce , can anyone suggest something else i can try please

My new iPhone 4s and my iPad 1 have the same problem: While working on one of them, the screen goes black and the right back to home screen. I've tried resetting the iPad with no chages to this problem. Need help, this is anoying.
I just did a reset all settings on both.

I have an iPad 1st generation that no longer has working volume buttons but every once in a while the sound turns on. So I know the speakers still work. I have tried resetting all settings and made sure that my side switch was auto lock not auto mute. I have tried the mystical swiping upward on the screen with 4 fingers to get some special sound menu (which I never succeeded in getting). My headphone jack doesn't work all the time either so some times my kids can hear their games and sometimes they can't. I am super frustrated at this point. So any suggestions would be great. Am I missing something basic or do we just have a soundless iPad now?

ICal and Entourage quit syncing
I use Entourage 2004 as my calendar and sync it with iCal and hence to my iPhone. This has always worked very well. However, I had to do a rebuild of my Entourage database and now iCal no longer syncs. Any thought son what happened and how to fix it?
