Ipad 4 with Retina issue using projector
I have just downloaded ios 8.2. My projector no longer works. It keeps trying to download firmware. I've never had this issue and the only change is the ios update from 8.1.3. The connectors were even replaced to no avail. Lightening to hdmi.
Check iPad model with the Serial Number on box or receipt.

My ipad mini with retina's Battary life too short
I have used kindle for reading e-book. My ipad mini with retina is used the battary 1% per 4 minutes.
Is it normal case or not?
I think It is abnormal because three weeks after I had got the ipad. Its battary life is very good. It may be10 % per hour.
After some time I tried to download something via ipad safari as a result the download is failed, my ipad battary life gone bad (1% per 4 minutes)
I have 2 questions to ask you all
1. Is it normal case that my ipad mini with retina is used the battary 1% per 4 minutes when used kindle for reading e-book?
2. Do you think about virus or some malware that may impact battary life? If yes please give me a solution.
Thank you for your help. ^^It's not a virus or malware as there are no known instances of these that affect iOS.

IPad mini with retina display and airplay issues?
Hey guys, So i bought an iPad mini with retina display last week. Have an ipad 3 at home that we've been using before that. For some reason, using Airplay from the Mini doesnt seem to work properly. I use the same apps (Dailymotion, Youtube and a few links online) on the iPad 3 and they work fine. But whenever i use in my mini, the video stops after a few mins. it stops playing on the tv, and continues on the ipad. Is anyone else having the same problem? BTW all my devices have up to date software so that is not an issue i think . .Be good to get some help/ feedback /suggestions about this . Thanks

would you get a better picture on apple tv is you used airplay on an ipad mini with retina display as opposed to a standard ipad mini?
Welcome to the Apple Community.
It won't make any difference. -
Will an iPad mini with retina display connect to a digital projector?
Will an IPad mini with retina display connect to a digital projector for presentations?
Yes, certainly. Depending on the projector's inputs, you'll need one of these adapters:
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD825ZM/A/lightning-to-vga-adapter
or a third-party equivalent.

Ipad mini with retina display and iOS 8.0.2 blue screen issues
Hello
My iPad mini with retina display with iOS8.0.3 is still showing up blue screen occasionally every day and restarting automatically. How to solve this?Hi!
I am facing the same issue too. But how come you have 8.0.3 while the whole world is on 8.0.2 ?
I tried resetting my iPad, restoring it, hard reset through DFU mode but NONE worked. It seemed to be okay for few days but then it started getting the blue screen restarts again.
Monday is the day, hoping 8.1 will fix this issue. ELSE Apple should shut the f*** up and instead of releasing all new line of products and concentrate on the disastrous OS it is rolling out.
Regards
Yasser
(FYI even as I am typing this response to you, there were many errors that held me from typing, the iOS 8 is so buggy) -
When trying to press the physical down volume button on my iPad mini with Retina Display, it sticks making you have to press really hard before it unsticks then allows you to decrease the volume level. Not sure if this is a common issue and not sure if its worth a genius appointment but it does seem to be getting worse. Anyone having this issue or know a fix? Thanks
Thanks for letting me know, I will have AppleCare arrange a replacement rather than getting a new retail box. I find the replacements are usually better quality when it is a new product. The AppleCare team said they wouldn't be sending a refurbished/repaired handset this early which gives me some confidence.
My home button does feel different and definatley sounds different but from what people have said this is normal. Someone posted a video of their and it was the same as mine so I'm not concerned. -
Can I use my iPad mini 1st Gen nano-sim w/iPad Mini with Retina?
I have an original AT&T iPad mini with LTE..works great. Can I get an LTE iPad mini with Retina or LTE iPad Air and put the nano-sim in that and have it work? I assume it would work but wanted to make sure!
I have an existing AT&T monthly plan with my original iPad mini...want to move that over to the new unit.
Let me know if you have done this or any thoughts..thanks!
FrankContact AT&T. I believe you have to set up a new account on the new iPad and cancel the account on the old iPad.

My iPad Mini with retina display suddenly will not connect to the Internet. It shows full wifi bars, yet no web pages will load. My Internet is working with all other apple devices in my house. The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Safari crashing on iPad mini (with retina display).
I'm a 4 month owner of the iPad mini (with retina display). I really find it really disgusting that Apple knows their Safari (and other browsers Mercury & Chrome) on the iPad without warning keep crashing to the home screen. IOS 7.1. Apple exchanged my tablet for they said a new one? However, as soon as I started using it (an hour later) at home same thing, CRASH CRASH CRASH NO APPS INSTALLED!!! There are reports of the same crashing also on the i5's...
I'm also on the web looking for a tablet replacement that does not require me to buy an app so I can view all flash without have to find a work around...This post claims to have solved the same issue for the author:

New iPad Mini with Retina - Wifi+Cellular causing problems.
Bought an iPad Mini with Retina - Wifi+Cellular last month.
It is lagging now. Animation during opening of minimized apps, scrolling and games are lagging. Took it to the service center, they said its an OS issue. I am using iOS 7.0.4. Please advice me what to do and will there be any updates soon from Apple for iOS 7? Will the problems be solved after update?Do yourself a favor and search the forums on this topic. Many people ask this daily and always get the same answer. Probably, but...
Check that the LTE frequencies match your operator.
Understand and accept the fact that if anything goes wrong, the warranty is good only in the US. Apple will not fix it for you in India (or anywhere else for that matter). You will need to physically get it back to the US as Apple does not accept shipped iDevices.
You will also see that many people run into these issues and then are angry that their iDevices don't work or won't be repaired by Apple. If you're ok with accepting the risks, then it will likely be ok. -
I bought a new iPad Mini with Retina Display and the only charger that seems to work is the one it came with. Any other lightning chargers I have bought (including a 30 pin to 8 pin connector) won't charge. Not only is it annoying to have a 3ft cable to charge, but it's annoying to have only one cord.
Does anyone know why the other chargers won't work? The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. IPad mini with retina display flickering screen
I just received my brand new iPad mini with retina display yesterday and today the screen started flickering and would not stop. I've powered it off and did a hard reset..the flickering will not go away. I even completely erased everything off the iPad and reset it using the settings menu. The flickering is still showing on the opening hello screen. Any ideas why this is happening?
I'm having a similar problem as "nickyizdal" and went through the same scenario, as far as erasing everything. Unfortunately, I have gotten this ipad mini a few months now...not sure if updating it to IOS 8.1.3 had anything to do with it, but this issue happened a few days after that update.
Any help would be appreciated. Thx.
