IPad 4th Gen Netflix poor video quality, how to solve?

Well, both my computer and iPhone stream perfectly, except my iPad. The quality is similar to 360p even though I have download speeds of 11.5Mbps (well over the minimum required to stream HD). I checked by watching Thor (which is an HD movie) and some other ones and the quality is poor regardless of the movie. I saw some older posts related to this thread and I conducted what they call a "trace" and this is what I got:

I have no idea what it means or if anything is wrong with my iPad's configuration. I went through the account settings and changed the option to "Best quality" but still no change. Any tips?

Hey Brad, the MP4 movie in iTunes is 806 MB. The segment I trimmed in QuickTime Player and saved as an MOV file is 18 MB.
When I export the MOV segment from QuickTime Player to my desktop, the export format options that appear are: Movie; 480p; 720p; and iPad, iPhone 4 & Apple TV. Which do you recommend?
When I do Share > Export Using Quicktime in iMovie, there are a bunch of Export and Use options. Which do you recomend?

I don't know what you mean by "poor battery life". If your iPad is working properly you should get 9-10 hours of life.

You can't export any type of file using the camera connection kit, so a USB flash drive or SD card won't work.
There are some wireless external hard drives that can be used with the iPad.
The Kingston Wi-Drive, which costs $50 for the 16 Gigabyte, and then $30 more for every 16 gigs more. It works by you turning it on and then accessing the files on it from an app that you download on your iDevice. You can access music, movies, and other stuff. No connections or anything, it works like a WiFi connection, you connect to it from the setting on the iPad under wireless networks.
Then there is the Seagate GoFlex, which some would recommend over the Wi-Drive. But this one costs $199 and had 500 Gigabytes of storage. It works the sameway as the Kingston: no wires, runs over its wireless connection. You can actually fit up to 300 HD movies on it.

How do I get my email address recently changed on my account in iTunes on my MacBook Pro to show up on the sign-on notice on my iPad (4th gen)? It reflects my old email address and therefore won't recognize my password. When I try to do something on the App Store on my iPad, it brings up a notice to sign on, which reflects the old email address, and rejects my password since the username/email address is no longer correct. Puzzled!

I have another question for the community. My daughter tells me that my texts to her show my primary email address as the account name of the sender (me) when I text her, rather than my cell phone number from which I'm texting her. I've had others report that to me too. How do I turn that off so that recipients see my cell phone number displayed as the sending party and not my email address? Thanks -

Hi .......ok so I got an iPad 4th Gen 16gb in New York last year (February 2013) and I was just wondering how long this will last, not in Battery life but in how long I can use it until it starts to get really slow and lagging and goes completely dead in years! No. Once sn iOS version comes out that is not compatible with your hardware, you cannot, obviously, update iOS any longer. However, your iPad running the last release of iOS compatible with it will continue to run that iOS release at the same speed it always did.
Nothing about any computer ever slows down with age - your cpu, RAM and storage all function at the same speed as they always did. New software may add features that tax your system more than a newer system would be taxed, but nothing about your system changes just because the device ages.
At some point, our system simply is unable to update or run newer software because that newer or updated software requires hardware features that yours simply does not have. But your exisiting software on your existing hardware will continue to run just as it always has.
As to when your system becomse unable to handle new software or iOS features, that is purely a matter of how quickly newer hardware comes out and how quickly software developers move to new features that your system cannot handle.
There is no inherent reason to believe that an iPad 4 will not be compatible with the next release of iOS - it might not be, but it may very well be. Depends entirely on what changes the next release (whenever that may be) introduces, and what new device hardware Apple may be working on.

IPad 4th gen video streaming crash

Bought my iPad 4th gen a few days ago, upgraded straight away to iOS 6.0.1
Whenever I stream video the system crashes and the iPad screen goes black then reboots.
Has happened via YouTube from safari, embedded facebook youtube and also news websites.
Any ideas on what it could be?

Have tried restoring to factory via iTunes with no luck, will just return to place of purchase I think.

I gave away my Ipad 2 to my niece. I'm thinking of buying another Ipad. I don't know which to select. The Ipad 4th gen or the Ipad mini. I'm not really into gaming since I just use my ps3 for that. I just plan to watch movies, surf the net, do some video edting and watch movies thru netflix.

The iPad Mini Wi-Fi problems is on iOS 6.0.2 when you update it.. So if you are in iPad Mini or iPhone 5 Stay at iOS 6.0.1 because when you update to iOS 6.0.2 you will have a Wi-Fi Problem.

I have very poor video quality after transcoding the video file (MPEG) in Adobe Encore CS5.1. Below you see my used settings in my filmproject.
The problem exists after transcoding in Adobe Encore CS5.1. I checked all steps and found out that there is no problem until transcoding. My exported file in MPEG has very good video and audio quality.
Facts:
1. Camcorder: Panasonic AG-AC160AEJ
Operating System : Windows 7, 64 Bit, Ultimate edition
Source files: MTS files
Recording settings (clip settings):
Type: MPEG Movie
Image Size: 1920 x 1080
Frame Rate: 25,00
Source Audio Format: 48000 Hz - compressed - Stereo
Project Audio Format: 48000 Hz - 32 bit floating point - Stereo
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1,0
2. Sequence settings in Premiere Pro
Sequence was created from Clip directly with settings above.
3. Exporting settings in Adobe Premiere Pro:
Match sequence settings was activated. Now other changes were set.

Frame rate: 25
Audio:

5. Transcoding settings in Adobe Encore:
I used different transcoding settings such as automatic DVD Transcoding, CBR and VBR.I also set “use maximum render quality”. But all results were always the same: very poor quality.
Why does the encore transcoding cause such bad video quality?
How can I solve this problem?

IPad 4th gen won't charge?

I have recently got an iPad 4th gen (3 with lightning charger).
Last night I was on youtube watching videos, when suddenly the screen went black.
I plugged it into the wall, pressed the on switch.. it turned on and it was 1%.
So I let it charge overnight (12:45am - 11:30am)
I go down to see it and its STILL on 1%
I use the plug (12WATT) that was provided in the box, and also the cable provided
both seem to be working fine as it says my iPad is charging due to the lightning symbol in the corner next to the percentage..
but my iPad will not budge past 1%
I have tried the power button and home button reset... twice and it hasn't worked either time.
Does anyone have any ideas why?
And what should I do, because I really need to use it..?
Update : I plugged it into my laptop and it now says 'Not Charging' in the top right hand corner?

If you are having difficulties charging your iPad, you may want to follow the directions listed in this article -

If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge until your device turns on. This could take between 10 and 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
