Does anyone else see this like I do,
It's nice but it seems to be a iPod touch giant, that has 3G but no phone?
I have a MacBook pro , iPhone 3GS 16gb Why would I buy a iPad?
If the 3G model iPad could make calls without Vonage or another VOIP then I might consider buying one.
Better voice control, I.E taking dictation for emails.
Then you would have something nice.

really i was expecting more of the user interface, may be apple set the bar to high with de I phone, so I was hoping something radical in it.
The I pad is nice and practical and deliver a target price to reach many people. Steve and his peoples were right : apple can not do cheaper garbage devices , but they did a superb remarkable and cheaper device.They do a great job. it will be a success may be higher than the iphone because it meets the needs of many uses .
only I miss something as Ink or speech recognition, (HP is demoing a tablet with handwriting recognition ).there is an application in I tunes app store with that functionality but will be good to have it system wide as cut copy and past.
The I Pad will change the News and editorial industry.
I think this is a great device to download and enjoy data from the internet, but there are many users in Health care as in others activities that could use it to fill electronic records or forms with the correct software and tools. ( many people don't have transcriptionist skills).
I will buy mine one. and think you will enjoy yours one.

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

I just updated to IOS 7.0.4 and I can't get my hotmail to sync up. I know hotmail turned to outlook but this is what i get when i click outlook and enter my information and click enter... "Unable to varify account information" the password is correct because I made sure at the actual website. my email looks like this

I am new to this community even though I have been a Apple user for years, so please forgive me if this question is not in the right section.
Has anyone encountered drastic shorter battery life both on iphone 5 and ipad since updating to iOS 6.1.2? I've always been happy with these two products until the update - now the battery life is considerably shorter which is extremely frustrating.
How can this problem be solved? Is there any way to go back to the previous version?

If you update using iTunes the phone is first wiped clean, then the new OS is installed, and finally the backup is restored. After this finishes if you sync your music should be restored. Music is not in the backup, because it is already on your computer and duplicating it would use up a lot of hard disk space.
An OTA update just patches what has changed; it does not disturb content.

IMessage is not working on my iPad since updating to ios7.0.6

iMessage is not working on my iPad since updating to ios7.0.6
It worked well before doing the latest update.
iMessage on My iPhone 4 works fine after doing the same update.
Have done all the usual things plugging into computer, complete shut down and reboot, nothing has worked.
It keeps asking for password for Apple ID, I know I am entering the correct ID, check network is also being displayed.
Nothing wrong with my network either, other iPads and iPhones are working fine on the same network.
Would like this fixed ASAP.

What happens when you try?
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

Try rebooting your router and or cable modem. Unplug it/them for about 30 seconds and then plug back in. See if it works then. Reboot your iPad as well.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I know circumstances that keep you from updating your iPad can be frustrating. In this situation I would make sure your iPad is backed up to the iCloud, just to make sure your information is safe. In Acrobat.com i see the contents update, but in iPad/Adobe Content Viewer not.

Calendar on iPad not updating after iOS8

After updating to ios8 i noticed that the calendar on My ipad wouldnt update events added on my i
Phone. Events added on the ipad do sync over to the iphone. I tried turning calendar sync on and off on the ipad, but that just added two entries for some events, after an warning that the calendars would be put together.
I'Ve checked all settings and they are the same on the iphone and the ipad. Push is used with 15min set if push doesent work.
I've also noiticed that the "sync animation" in the upper left corner, never spins when i open the calendar like it did before. It's like a bug in the calendar.
If i manually update the calendar, all events sync. Never had any issues with this before.

That is not the update bug, something that happens to you does not make sense. For example that sentence does not make sense if icloud setup properly, which tellls me it is not, but I can't pinpoint what is wrong.
