Ipad air booting problem

My ipad air worked great for a day and then got stuck going back and forth between the apple logo that comes up during a reboot and the little spinning circle. When I connect to itunes it says to enter the passcode, but the passcode entry screen never appears. It is stuck in this loop. i have tried to hold the on/off button and the back button simultaneously but it just continues to switch it between the two screens described above. How do I get past this?

update: i connected the ipad air to itunes but held down the home button while i plugged the lightning connector to the ipad. I held the home button long enough to get the graphic of the lightning connector pointing to a device. then in itunes i was able to do a factory reset. but I had to do this twice in succession to get it to take. then i did a restore from the cloud and everything seems to be working now.

  • TS3899 I HAVE IPAD AIR HAVING PROBLEMS WITH EMAIL DELETING AFTER A SHORT TIME WITHOUT COMMAND CAN YOU HELP

    Q. I have an IPAD air having problems with my email deleting after a short while without command.

I've had issues like this before.
I ended up having to call my provide to reset the connection, which worked for a while, then quit. i then took it into my provider for a new sim card and had the connection re-established again. I haven't had issues since.
hopefully for you resetting the connection with your provider will do the trick and a new SIM card wont be nessesary.

  • IPad air reboot problem

Are lots of people meet the new iPad air restart problem? I have met it several times since I bought it a week. Any solution can avoid it or should I go to  store to change a new one As this is a really annoying problem.

While I am using a application like safari, the iPad just restarted. Probably it wasn't a really restart because it just took a seconds and the a white screen with an  in the middle came up just like usually turn on the iPad  and back to lock screen and any application I was using were closed after that.

    Hi Air.sam,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know that situations like this can be very frustrating. There are some very good troubleshooting steps that I would recommend in this situation however. Please use the attached article and troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the situation.
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 30 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
    Regards,
    Joe

  • IPad Air charging problem

Hello, i got ipad air 2 days ago and i wanted to charge it now but i got error message "this accessory may not be supported" )I AM USING ORIGINAL CHARGER) i tried to google that problem but nothing works! :(

if it is new, take it in and show them.   You might want to borrow a different charger and a different cable just to see if that is the issue.

  • IPad air syncing problem of video

When sync the photo and video from PC to iPad air, the video only shows just a photo in the iPad air, can't play. But iPad 2 is no problem.
iPad air was sync under ios7.0.4, the iPad 2 was sync under ios6.

Since these same songs will sync to your other Apple devices, that would rule out the songs being in the wrong format, or any other issues with the way that they were ripped.
Your iPad charges from the power socket normally and connects to iTunes OK, so that rules out the cable. The USB ports on some computers do not supply enough power to efficiently charge the iPad and while the iPad may in fact be charging, you will see the "not charging" message.
Check is in the Summary. Pane of iTunes when the iPad is connected to see if you have Manually Manage Songs and Videos selected. If you have it selected, unselect it and sync again.

      Hi John,
Thanks for your input on this one. I took the iPad to the Apple store and a very helpful chap did a restore for me at the shop. He said it wasn't right to do what it did (switch into sleep mode) immediately after powering on without even being able to get to the slider "button".
After the restore it was exactly the same and he and his colleagues said they hadn't seen this before. He told me to take it back to where I bought it and get it changed. However because of reading up on certain other problems the Air had which was encountered by others on here (coloured screens etc) as the fault on mine was only the screen switching off into sleep mode I decided not to do anything about changing the iPad at that time. I also wanted to see if the same problem occurred on the one that we bought a family member just before Xmas and it did, it does exactly the same as mine on power up.
Whilst I know it's not right as OH's iPad 4 has never done it (that's why I felt something was wrong with mine), I was prepared to live with it just in case as in your experience, changing it would bring the same problem or other faults that some say they have with the Air.
If I want the slider screen to stay up what I tend to do is, several seconds after switching the iPad on, I press the Home Button a few times and the activation page then stays on screen. No big deal really and as (so far) everything else has been going ok (still not sure about battery but others think it's alright), I'd rather put up with this than encounter different problems.
I hope your new replacement will be ok, if not then I think it could be something to do with some batches have this problem some don't or that it is peculiar just to the Air iPad though the staff at the store don't think it is.....
I'd be interested to know how you get on so please post back to let us know. Thanks for telling me about your experience, will look forward to hearing from you again.

  • IPad Air update problem!!!

Hi. I have new iPad Air 16Gb. I pressed check for Updates. While updating, now I see Black screen with Apple logo and white line with 0% indicating. One hour no change!!! What should I do?

First, be sure your iPad is plugged into the charger that came with it. Then you can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears.
Try again to see if the problem persists.

  • Ipad air - display problem dark bars shining through

I have a problem here with my new ipad air.
It is just that display thing.
There are 2 black bars showing through the lcd, which are, what I suppose, comming from the batteries on the back side of the panel.
Seems that the batteries are pressing against the panel, which makes the imaging brighter.
The gaps (space where to battery is) which you can see on "ifixit - ipad air teardown" seem to appear as black bars, if you have a bright image, like google maps, zoomed to far in, that no other thing appear.
if they do not disappear I will have to return that device, but the question is, if a new device will have the issue fixed...
Can someone confirm this or say if his/her device is free from this bug?
I'm asking myself why apple did not move the display closer to the glass, like samsung does with its galaxy tab... if you tab on the glass it soungs like you are playing a drum...
this would leave some more space for the batteries, so you do not see them from on the panel....
A second problem could occour if the batteries become hot... as far as I know lcds tend to change their physical behaviour when they become hot or cold.
Could this be an issue with this device?

You've got a brand new iPad. You have some sort of hardware issue, so just return it for replacement. Don't put up with anything short of what you think is right.
You have 15 days to return it for a new one. You have a one year warranty. Don't wait, head to an Apple Store for replacement.

  • IPad Air color problem - blues look purple

I just upgraded from an iPad 2 to the iPad Air, and right away noticed that anything that should be blue is clearly and distinctly purple. It's most noticeable in things such as the Facebook app and links in Safari. At first I thought I could live with it or adjust to it, but it's kind of driving me crazy. Compared side by side, the difference in colors is extremely obvious.
My questions are a) is anyone else having this problem, and b) is it worth taking it back and getting another one to see if the screen is any different, or are all the displays at this point going to have this same basic color temperature?

So, is this a universal problem or not?!  Mine has the same coloring problem.  In Safari, e.g., on Macsurfer.com, all the blue underlined links are *purple*!!
Sure enough, when you tap on one--i.e., a visited link--it changes to a deeper purple, showing it's been visited.  But it's incredibly disgracing to go to a site and see all the NEW links in PURPLE!!
Any fixes other than return?  And , on a return, what's to say that the next one won't have the same problem--or worse, the other displays issues that have been mentioned.
Incidentally , should the background color of a *white* page in iBooks look *gray*?!  Alas, it does!

  • IPad Air and problems

      Hi
Bought iPad Air 16GB 18 November and having problems with it already! OH has had the iPad4 (updated to IOS7.0.4) for a year now so I know the comparison re the problems I have with the Air and I'm far from happy with it (both of us happy with the iPad4 however!
Just a couple of details of my set up, used saving battery with tips from Apple so I know it's not that and I don't as yet have a case for my ipad so not overheating.
Problem number one is, I switch on, the Apple logo comes up for several seconds, it then switches to the "slider" screen and IMMEDIATELY switches off. I can't even touch the screen to get to it before it does! I then switch on the on/off button and it works ok after that.
Second problem (comparing with OH's iPad), the average battery use for 45 minutes on mine is 6% down (8% in an hour) and on OH's 1% in 45 minutes - 1 hour. I think mine is losing battery life far too quickly so am asking here for comments/advice/help to see what you think.
Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
    best wishes

  • Why is there no fix for Safari's unsupported iPad Air URL problem?

With my IPad Air the Safari browser has an unsupported URL bug that needs fixing. Will there be a fix for this soon? it's really annoying.

    JimHdk,
    Thanks for your reply.
When I'm viewing news websites on my Ipad Air, like msnbc.com, there's these annoying ads that
block the next news video segment on a show The Ed Show and other MSNBC news shows.
Then an "Unsupported URL" error message is on my Safari browser. It's been happening after the most recent Ipad Air software update.
It also happens when I mirror the MSNBC website on my tv. Any ideas?
