IPad Air cellular unlocked?

Hi, I bought an iPad Air in the US while on vacation, it was not set up at the Apple Store as I assumed it came unlocked, however it has an AT&T chip in it and the receipt said it will only work with the wireless services of AT&T. Tried the chat on this site, got a message saying chat is only supported in the US, what about clients that don't have an Apple store in their country?

Any iPad purchased directly from Apple in the USA will be unlocked. Have you even tried setting it up with a SIM from a local carrier that offers iPad data plans?
Just remove the AT&T nano-SIM and get a nano-SIM card from a local service provider and put that in the slot, then set up your service.
The only AT&T locked iPads would be an iPad purchased from an AT&T store, and even then, only if you signed up for one of AT&T's financing deals.

They aren't locked but the warranty for one with cellular capability will only be good in the US and there is no guarantee it will work with LTE in other countries.

you can't make calls, but if its supported, you can use facetime. another alternative is skype, but you wont be able to make actual phone calls from your ipad

The cellular part of that it has the ability to transmit and receive cellular data, not make phone calls over the cellular network.

This means any iOS device that shares your Apple ID will get your phone calls. Look below for instructions on how to turn off iPhone cellular calls.
Wi-Fi Calling needs to be off.

À priori cela viendrait d'un problème de localisation
Les format américains différent de ceux européen et Apple n'a pas inclus l'impression au format A4 du coup il doit y avoir une conversion qui est faite par l'imprimante
En changeant la loc réglages--> général--> international
Changer le format régional en anglais états unis et l'impression sera plus rapide (mais pas ajusté exactement au format A4)

Yes, GSM is the system used by AT&T and most of the world. CDMA is the system used by Verizon, and some of the other smaller US-based carriers. Buying the AT&T model will make life much easoier for you.

Like I said, I'm not a techno-idiot, I'm actually pretty savvy, but this really isn't my area of expertise, so I really really would appreciate some wiser minds than mine looking at this and giving me some information.
Additional information that may help: when I go to Settings > Cellular Data > View Account > ,I get a system error message; it won't let me contact to my account and gives me a number. I assume I'll have to contact Verizon regarding my account, but I'm still wondering about the LTE sim question vs just a "regular" cellular signal.
Does it even make sense what I'm asking or am I just being a complete and total idiot?

Got IPad Air as a gift. Cellular data plan is set to AT&T. I don't want AT&T, how do I remove and change it?

Okay so I tried what Demo suggested and that didn't work so I gave up. Also, I don't want to turn off my bluetooth because I use a bluetooth keyboard all the time.
So I was really excited today when Apple released iOS 8.1.3 thinking that they would resolve this very annoying popup message that locks the whole iPad intil you click on "Later". Well to my complete disappointment the message popped up as soon as I tried to use the iPad after updating to the new iOS. It also popped up while I was typing this message.
C'mon Apple, what is up with this total c**p? Get rid of this message!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
