Ipad air comes in box with a 10 or 12 W charger ?

ipad air comes in box with a 10 or 12 W charger ?

JimHdk is correct. The 12 watt charger was included only with the iPad Air 1 and the iPad 4 (4th generation). The 10 watt charger comes with the iPad Air 2, likely because the battery is smaller & requires less wattage to charge.

asked for iPad Air 2 box says iPad Air no "2"  64GB with wifi cellular. Is this correct?

My iPad Air 2 WiFi 64 GB box does not say "iPad Air 2", only "iPad Air", even on the back where it lists the product. It is confusing (why Apple decided to mess with us, I don't know). And, since mine will be a Christmas gift that was shipped to me, with little time to exchange it before the holiday, a little unsettling to say the least.
Here is what an Air 2 box should look like...

  • TS3899 Cannot send email with new iPad air.  Works fine with old iPad and iPhone.

Cannot send email with new iPad air.  Works fine with old iPad and iPhone.  I have deleted account and reinstalled.

Thanks.  I got the problem fixed.  Spent time with the Apple folks and was kicked up to a senior advisor.  It seems the problem was with my internet provider - Tmie Warner.  Remember I could use the old ipad and the iphone to send mail.  I checked all the specifics between the three units.  It seems that TW is changing over from the RR.com  to TWC.com.  Since the new ipad air was just set up, it fell under the new TWC mail specifics.

  • My iPad air won't sync with my music in iTunes on my MacBook Pro

I have tried to sync my new iPad air music through iTunes with the music on my MacBook Pro using a direct cable.
A message box opens and says that this computer is no longer authorized for purchased items on this iPad. Select Store and authorize.
I go to store and authorize this computer with my AppleID and then a box opens and says the this computer is already authorized?
It just keeps going around in this circle.
    Any ideas.
    Thanks!

Seriously?  There are various reasons why I don't use the Cloud, but I want to sync my calendars on my iPhone with my new MacBook Pro.  So I've been setting up the new machine, and most things work, but I can't get the phone to sync calendars with the MacBook.  The instructions (on the laptop) say to plug in the phone, and go to iTunes, select the device (the iPhone) and then click the Info tab.  But there is no Info tab to click.  I've searched and searched, and cannot find it.  So, now I'm thinking, is this the answer to this problem that Apple hasn't alerted me to?  ...or am I a complete moron for not being able to find it?  The look in iTunes is different from what I'm used to looking at in my old machine (an older MacBook).
Music, iTunes U, and other things seem to sync properly.  I haven't investigated yet to see whether my calendar is syncing up right.
I don't keep up on all the nomenclature:  "Mavericks" refers to the new OS that came with my Macbook (10.9.1)?

  • Rumor or Fact: iPad Air comes with all GSM & CDMA bands UNLOCKED ?

After reviewing the details of the cellular networks for iPad Air, I noticed that Apple no longer gives two different stats for the Verizon (CDMA) and AT&T (GSM) networks.
I called Applecare and they spoke with their tech services regarding whether ALL bands were unlocked no matter which version (Verizon or AT&T) was purchased. (I was thinking of getting a Verizon iPad and using it with my AT&T sim card because in the past, Verizon allowed their GSM bands unlocked, while AT&T seemed to have the CDMA bands locked up with possible firmware and not able to be unlocked...)
Applecare stated the following: The AT&T iPad Air had the CDMA bands unlocked and the Verizon iPad Air had the GSM bands unlocked.
Has anyone (ie: some of the press who got iPad Airs to play with,) read or seen this in person?
In a perfect world, I would LIKE Apple to just release a cellular version of the iPad and then let the user pop in any sim card they wanted.  Could this possibly be it?  And maybe the network designations (AT&T, Verizon, etc.) simply refer to the sim card that is with the device? And not the device's limitations for network access?
I have read all the iPad Air review articles (about 12,) and don't see this addressed - has anyone?
    Thank you!

Yes, but to work on a CDMA network a device needs two things:
    1. the CDMA network settings in firmware.. They do not get any connection settings from any external device like a SIM so must have those settings for the specific network flashed in firmware.
    2.  That device must be provisioned by the CDMA service provider in their database of devices allowed to connect to their network.
So a device purchased from AT&T or from Apple for use on the AT&T network will not be in any CDMA carriers database and no carrier will add it - they simply do not do that for devices purchased elsewhere.  Nor will any carrier flash the firmware for you to install their connection settings.
A CDMA iPad or iPhone needs to be purchased pre-provisioned for use on the specific CDMA network you wish to use, and it will never work on any other CDMA network anywhere.
This is completely unlike a GSM device, which gets all the information it needs to connect to a new network simply by swapping in a SIM card for that network.

  • Ipad air calender not syncing with iphone 5s calender

I create an event on my iphone 5s, it shows up on icloud but will not sync with my ipad air?
I have searched for a solution with no success
    help please

    Howdy andyq180,
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.
From your post I see that your iPad is not able to sync the iCloud calendar content from either iCloud.com or your other iOS device.  To troubleshoot this, please follow the steps outlined below.
    General troubleshooting
Check the System Status page to make sure there aren't any issues affecting iCloud Calendars.
Check your settings and preferences, because something may not be set up correctly. For example, having incorrect date and time settings can cause issues that are easily resolved by entering the appropriate settings.
    Troubleshooting on iOS devices
First, confirm that you've turned on iCloud Calendar by tapping Settings > iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, then check that Calendars is turned on.
If you are having trouble with the Calendar app on an iOS device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) and iCloud Calendar, try these steps, testing after each to see if the issue is resolved.
Make sure you've updated to iOS 5 or later. If your issue isn't resolved, try installing the latest version of iOS supported by your device. For instructions on setting up iOS for iCloud, see iCloud Setup.
Make sure your iOS device is online. Attempt to view www.apple.com in Safari. If you can't connect to the Internet, your iCloud calendars and events will not update in your Calendar application. Learn how to troubleshoot your Internet connection.
Open a secure website to test if ports 80 and 443 are accessible. Calendar requires port 443 access to iCloud to push and fetch updates to and from the iCloud Calendar servers.
If recent changes don't appear, try to refresh your calendars:
In iOS 7, open Calendar and tap the Calendars tab to load the Calendars list, then pull down on the list to refresh.
In iOS 6 or iOS 5, open Calendar and tap Calendars in the top-left corner to load the Calendars list. Then tap the Refresh button in the lower-left corner of the Calendars list window.
If you've recently made changes to your contacts' birthdays and are not seeing those changes reflected in your Birthdays Calendar, try to refresh your calendars. If you made the changes in the Contacts app on your Mac or at iCloud.com, it may take up to an hour for those changes to appear on your other devices.
If you add new events on your iOS device, but they do not update on iCloud.com or your other devices, confirm that you've added the event to an iCloud calendar:
In iOS 7, open Calendar and tap the event to view the Event Details. Tap the calendar name to confirm that you've saved the event to an iCloud calendar.
In iOS 6 or iOS 5, open Calendar and tap the event to view the Event Details. Tap Edit > Calendar to confirm that you've saved the event to an iCloud calendar.
You may want to verify your default calendar settings. If you want to create new events in an iCloud calendar, set that calendar to be your default calendar. You can modify Default Calendar settings in Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Default Calendar.
If you're using iOS 7, quit and restart the Calendar app:
Press the Home button twice to see preview screens of the apps you have open.
Find the Calendar preview screen and swipe it up and out of preview to quit the application.
Tap the Home button to return to your Home screen.
Wait a minute before reopening the Calendar app.
If you're using iOS 6 or iOS 5, quit and restart the Calendar app:
    Press the Home button.
Double-click the Home button to open the multitasking menu.
Tap and hold the Calendar icon until it jiggles.
Tap the "X" to remove Calendar from the list.
Press the Home button to go back to your Home screen. Wait a minute before reopening the Calendar app.
Restart your iOS device: Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears, then drag the slider. After the device turns off, turn it back on by pressing the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. This may sound simple, but it reinitializes your network and application settings and can frequently resolve issues.
Change the Sync settings for your calendars:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Under Calendars, tap Sync. If Sync is set to All Events, set it to a specific duration, such as Events 1 Month Back. If it's already set to a specific duration, set it to All Events.
Tap the Home button. Wait several minutes, then open Calendar and try to refresh your calendars again.
Turn iCloud Calendar off and back on:
    Tap Settings > iCloud.
Turn off Calendar. Choose to delete data only if your data exists at icloud.com/calendar or on one or more of your computers. Otherwise, choose Keep Data.
Wait a few minutes before turning Calendar back on.

  • New iPad Air won't sync with iTunes on Windows 8

    Hello,
I have an iPad Air that will not sync with iTunes. That same machine however syncs with my original iPad and iPad 2 with no issues.
Only thing that happens when I connect the iPad Air to the PC is a tile/window pops up like it is looking for photos on the USB device?
I have tried disabling, uninstalling/reinstalling, updating the driver, all with no success. I even factory reset the iPad Air and didn't change the outcome.
I can tell you that the iPad Air is running the latest firmware, my iTunes is the latest version, and Windows 8.1 is up to date, as well as both other iDevices syncing error free.
Any insight anyone could provide on what I could be missing would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

  • My iPad Air doesn't lock with a Smart Cover

I have an iPad Air first generation with iOS 8.2 on it. I purchased an official Apple Smart Cover and the smart lock/unlock does not work. I have the lock/ unlock setting enabled in settings>general.  I have also tried an aftermarket smart case and it doesn't work either.  The screen doesn't lock and I don't hear an audible lock sound.  I have tried restoring my iPad. I took my iPad to the Apple Store and they told me the iPad was out of warranty and offered to sell me a refurbished iPad of the same model for $299.  I was disappointed this was the only option they gave me. What else can I try?

  • Macbook air or iPad air for mobile use with iMac at home

Ok i have a 2012 21 imac and i love this machine. I also have a 2013 13 macbook air for mobil use at work and in class. I am considering though selling the Macbook air and strictly getting an iPad air for my mobile computing needs. I already always use iCloud for all my doc and i don't do anything beyond taking notes for class, web browsing, email, iMessage and occasionally remote desktop support support for things at work on my macbook air. I believe an iPad air could fill all those needs and with something like the clam case pro for the iPad air when it comes out would be perfect for my desire to always type on a real keyboard instead of a virtual one. but I'm still a little unsure. Ive had a laptop and a desktop since 2005 so I'm a little apprehensive to ditch the laptop in favor of a tablet.
What are everyones thoughts and advice?

Personally, the iPad is NOT a very good laptop replacement and you are getting a much more limited mobile OS.
If you already have a MacBook Air, it is a more capable mobile device and has the instant on capability as an iPad.
With your MacBook Air, you get the full OS X operating experience, also.
Plus, iPads do not have a bulit-in keyboard and trackpad and doesn't have all of the ports and connections your MacBook Air has.
Plus, your MacBook Air has a bigger screen, more RAM and more hard drive storage than an iPad.
An iPad is a downgrade from your MacBook Air.
Why would you even consider a downgrade to an iPad from a much more capable MacBook Air.
Stick with your MacBook Air. It is head and shoulders much better mobile Apple device than iPad.

  • IPad Air not syncing calendar with PC Outlook calendar

I recently purchased an iPad Air, but cannot sync my calendar.  I was able to sync my e-mail, but only my single all day events show on my calendar.  My appointments and multi-day events do not appear.  I tried deleting the account and setting it up again, but this does not resolve the problem.
