IPad Air cover doesn't fit right

Just got the Air this week, the cover isn't perfectly aligned on the edges when installed. It hangs off one side about 2mm, it's really annoying. The cover on my iPad 2 is perfectly aligned.
Anyone else run into this?

Year view is too small. You have to be on at least month view.
You can view alll your events in list form by tapping the magnifying glass on the top right.

I recently dropped my MacBook :'( and I didn't think it would have any lasting effects. HOWEVER, now the charger doesn't fit into the socket. I examined it and I THINK that the socket has been distorted by the fall. Help?

What model of Mac do you have? (Open 'System Profiler' and look at line 2. My computer says 'MacBook4.1')
Once you know your model you can locate the appropriate repair guide on ifixit.com. It sounds like your "magsafe board" may have gotten damaged or knocked loose.
You may want to consider taking the computer to a professional repair shop. You don't want to accidentally turn a minor repair job into a major repair job (and get your parents mad in the process).

IPad Smart Cover does not fit properly.

The Smart Cover that I bought with my iPad w/retina display (iPad 4) pops of the left side of the iPad when I flip the cover all the way around. The cover I received has the cutout for the 30-pin dock connector if that makes a difference. It is also personalized. Can I get it replaced? Can it be done in-store or do I need to mail it somewhere? Thanks.

This isn't something we'd be able to answer for you I'm afraid, it would depend on numerous factors such as where it was purchased from.
If you've purchased this new from a store recently then I'm sure retailer will be able to assist.

New Power Adapter Doesn't fit right

The power adapter for my iBook G3 started only working when it really felt like it, so I check the discussion boards about buying a new one. I saw the link about Shentech.com, which indicated their power cord was the same as the one bought from the Apple Store, though it cost about half as much. I bought this one, but when it arrived (it was delivered VERY quickly), I was concerned because I have to force it into the computer. It charges the battery just fine, but I am concerned about ultimately doing damage to the computer. It is a model A 1036. Has anyone else had this issue? Since I didn't buy it directly from Apple, can I still ask Apple about it, as it is an Apple Product?

Yes, I have the exact same issue with the 65-watt adapter I bought from Shentech:

I thought perhaps it was because I bought the 65-watt instead of the 45-watt that originally came with the iBook. I always keep an extra on hand, and that super-tight one has been relegated to "extra" status. I am always VERY careful any time I plug it in.
If you are very worried about it, maybe you should call Shentech and ask for a replacement. They may be refurbishing them. Even though it says "new" on their website, mine is a bit scuffed, and does not LOOK new.
A call to Apple about it may shut Shentech down if they are selling refurbished Apple products as new, but maybe that would be the right thing to do?
I'm afraid this isn't much help, but it does let you know that you're not alone.

No list view in iPad Air calendar?

In Calendar on the iPad Air, there doesn't seem to be any way to view all your calendar events as a chronological list of events (I.e., "list view"). Can this be true? I've been trying to find it for hours.

I have tried the way you mentioned by using non-sap(MSSQL) bakend with ipad platform.It is working fine for me when i have tested the app in ATE.
Once try to cross check with my procedure once.
1.I have three objects Customer,orders,products.Orders object is collection to customer,Product Object is collection to orders.
2.I have defined 'show order tile' screen set for order object with one detail screen that contains order id and customer id.
3.Defined another screen set 'show order tile selected' for order object This details screen contains all the fields in the order object.Now i have defined as mentioned by you a field with edit type as 'list view'-->check whether all the settings are done correctly in this field->height(20),collection(In my example Products),List view columns(Product Name)->that means the list view will display all the product names of the selected order object.
4.Go to 'show customer details screen set' ,define a detail screen,add a field with edit type as 'list tile view'->set the collection to orders,list tile view settings->screensets->row ->show order tile screen set
selected ->show order tile selected screen set
5.Publish and test in ATE.For your understanding iam inserting the screen shot that i have done.
Please try to map the screen sets and objects in my example.....Hope this may be a bit helpful for you.

No mail in iPad air inbox

I have several email accounts but there is just one account where the mail doesn't download into the inbox of my iPad air. The things that throws me is that emails from this same account download to all the other folders (eg sent, trash) except to the inbox in this single account. Could the problem be due to me having this account setup on 2 iPhones and my MacBook Pro? Again if it was a password or a setup error then why do all the other folders get mail except for the inbox? Also the mail isn't being deleted because the 2 iPhones retrieve the mail ok and there are emails in the web based account. It is just my iPad air that doesn't, what's going on?

I have also tried quitting mail, deleting the account then done a reset, re-add the account and then restarting the iPad. No luck yet...

IPhone 3G stock and first gen charging cable doesn't fit cleanly.

Has anyone else noticed that the charging cord that came from apple doesn't fit cleanly into their iPhone 3G? Mine fits crooked. It still charges and everything but it just doesn't fit right. This is true for the cord that came with the phone and the old cord from my own phone.

It should fit flush and straight. I use multiple cables (the one that came with the iPhone, a BT Travel Cable, an old Griffin cable in the car (the one with the pinch-to-release clasp) - they all fit flush and straight in the iPhone 3G.
You might want to have yours checked out at an Apple Store.

IPad Air 2 Doorbuster Available Online?

I have been told that Black Friday Doorbusters will be available online, It even states in the ad to SHOP ONLINE EARLY. When you click on the ad it shows the iPad Air 2 SAVE $100 and right below it, 2 WAYS TO SHOP, with the first option being ALL DAY ONLINE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.
I just saw a question asked on a Best Buy forum saying that the iPad Air 2 may only be a Doorbuster available at the brick-and-mortar stores.
Can you clarify if the iPad Air 2 will or won't be available on Thanksgiving ONLINE with the $100 off? If it will be available ONLINE, will it be at 12:00 EST or CST? Everyone wants to know. This should be an easy one to answer.

As someone who makes the majority of her Black Friday purchases online for her holiday shopping list, I wholeheartedly understand wanting to know the ins and outs of a store’s online sales to make sure your getting the best deal possible. The iPad Air 2 is quite the nice tablet, and as it was newly released, I can only imagine how popular an item like that would be.
Having said that, we’re unable to state when our Black Friday sales go live on our website. This means that you will most likely have to continually refresh our page if you wish to order something as soon as it goes live. Additionally, please know not all sales advertised in our Black Friday ad will be offered on BestBuy.com, nor will we be commenting as to what particular sales will be available on the website. What I can say though is while there’s no guarantee of it this year; most sales offered in-store were closely matched if not identically replicated online in past years.

Ipad air 2 keyboard clicking sound disappeared.

So I just bought the Ipad air 2 and today the key clicking sound is gone, I checked sounds and the clicking sound is on. searching on here and someone suggested that the system could be muted, and to go under Setting>General>Use switch to, but there is no such option under general. sound in apps and online are all okay, tried shutting down and rebooting, does not help. Can anyone help?

Pull Control Center up and make sure mute isn't turned on. The iPad Air 2 doesn't have a side switch so "use side switch to" no longer appears in settings.

My iPad Air doesn't lock with a Smart Cover

I have an iPad Air first generation with iOS 8.2 on it. I purchased an official Apple Smart Cover and the smart lock/unlock does not work. I have the lock/ unlock setting enabled in settings>general. I have also tried an aftermarket smart case and it doesn't work either. The screen doesn't lock and I don't hear an audible lock sound. I have tried restoring my iPad. I took my iPad to the Apple Store and they told me the iPad was out of warranty and offered to sell me a refurbished iPad of the same model for $299. I was disappointed this was the only option they gave me. What else can I try?

No - if you look at the specs, the sizes of the two devices is quite different.

Smart Cover for iPad Air does not stay closed

The iPad Air Smart Cover is a different design to the previous versions of the Smart Cover, it has no metal spine on the left side and the magnets do not appear to be as strong as the previous versions. Presumably Apple has done this to reduce the production cost, and increase profits.
The result of this is that if one holds the iPad with the spine of the cover in the left had and the thumb on the first section of the cover and then tips the iPad over to the left the cover opens when the iPad is tipped past the vertical, towards the left side. This is made worse when the iPad is fitted with a third party back protector case which fits over the front edge slightly.
This problem did not exist with the earlier iPads and their Smart Covers. We have an iPad 2 and iPad 3 both fitted out with Smart Covers and third party back covers. Both of these can be tipped over completely, upside-down, while holding them (in the manner described above) and they do not open.
We tried our new iPad Air Smart cover on other iPad Airs at the store (not Apple) and we also tried other Smart Covers on our iPad Air. They all had the same problem.
The only fix will be if Apple recognise the problem and improve the design of the Smart Cover
NOTE: We also tried the Smart Case and this had the same problem.
So, my questin is to Apple: When will I be able to exchange the Smart Cover for an updated version that does not have this problem?

I also have an iPad Air, and a genuine Apple Air Smart Cover. Cover stuck fine in the closed position (even if upside down) for several months. Cover also stuck to the right hand back of the iPad Air when open and folded back, even if upside down.
About a week ago, the right hand edge of the cover started being slightly repelled from the right hand edge iPad Air when closed. This left the iPad at risk of not actuating the on off switch, or at least being very sensitive to any movement.
The cover still stuck to the back of the iPad Air when open and folded back.
I believe Apple have magnets in the right hand edge of the cover, not just a passive strip of iron. If so, the polarity between back and front of the cover will be opposite. I believe Apple are somehow arranging the magnets in the right hand side of the iPad Air to change position depending on whether the cover is closed on the front, or open and folded to the back. I suspect Apple somehow allow the magnets in the iPad Air to pivot or move to provide a decent attraction both front and back regardless of cover polarity.
When I get hold of some magnetic viewing film I will check the magnet locations further.
My iPad Air went back to attracting the cover to both front and back a day or so ago. I had made no alterations. This correction happened after leaving the cover closed (and hovering mid air by a milimetre or two) overnight.
I believe the problem is in the iPad Air, not in the Smart Cover.
