IPad Air crashes after upgrade to IOS8.02

ipad air is crashing after upgrade to IOS 8.02. The apps crash leads to restarting of the iPad. Is this a software issue or hardware?
the apps that I use are Facebook,you Tube, chrome and LinkedIn.

Try some basic troubleshooting:
(A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
(B) Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
(C) Setup as new (data will be lost if you do not have backup)
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

this happened to me. I needed to restore the device using itunes.
You can enter a special mode called recovery mode and itunes will help to restore ios on the ipad.
To do this, you obviously need a pc or mac with itunes installed on it. And a recent backup would be useful as this process will blank the machine.
Switch the ipad off by holding the power and home buttons until the screen goes black.

I have iphone 5s and last night I upgrade it to ios 8 but after installation none of my installed apps worked and all of them crashes after running. what I must do please help me

Under Fusion you have Window, then you select Virutal Machine Library.
Once done, on your left you got the al your virtual machines.
Delete your windows xp virtual machine.
Then you select Add -> New Boot Camp and all your stuff will be back.

Had the same issue. Hard reset not working.
What I did was: start your mac/pc and open iTunes, hold down the home button of the iPad (and while holding the button), connect it to the PC with the cable.
Keep pressing until you get a pop-up asking to upgrade or restore.

Internet speed too slow in hotspot mode on iPad after upgrade to iOS8

Problem:
After upgrade from iOS7 to iOS8 my 3G internet speed shows very poor performance in Hotspot mode.
Before upgrade (on iOS7):
3G
without hotspot -- 4 MB/s
in hotspot mode shared over WiFi -- 4 MB/s
After upgrade (to iOS8):
3G
without hotspot -- 4 MB/s
in hotspot mode shared over WiFi, Bluetooth and USB -- speed drops to stable 20-30 KB/s regardless of attached device or network quality
I contacted my 3G operator, they report to have made no changes, and have no clue and suggest me to contact 'equipment manufacturer'.
I have tried different kind of settings, resetting/experimenting with APN/username/pass. The only thing I haven't done so far is I didn't erase/clean reinstall my iPad. But I will do it soon.
Could you please suggest:
a) has anyone else faced such a problem?
b) has anyone have an idea how to fix it?

Update:
A solution was to leave the 'Hotspot APN' blank and fill out the 'login' field instead with <any> symbols.

Free memory. You are probably getting crashes becasue you have too much stuff floating sround in memory. Double tap the home button to see the task bar. Touch and hold any of those icons until they jiggle, then delete them all by touching the minus sign.
Do this every day, or more oftern if needed to keep the system freed up. If you are using safari a lot, make sure to fully close some of the windows by touch the x on the tabs. Each window uses some active memory.
From time to time, do a full reboot by holding the sleep and home button until the apple logo appears. Ignore the red slider. This also frees up some system resources.
The iOS system is supposed to do this for you, but since the intro of ios 5 there are a fair number of folks crashing.

After upgrade to iOS8, very slow, no volume slider bar, no volume through the iPad although the headphones work. My volume slider bar now reads"Sound Effects"?? Mute is off, need help. So frustrated!

I do not think apple will do much to help you under warrenty, as this was caused by a fall. (alas!)
I think the case is, as you suggest, jamming the rocker down, and it may have damaged the swith itself. Can you carefully lever it out of the way? Very very carefully. If it is already broken, there is not much harm you can do by trying.
If it is just the switch being jammed, you might be able to move it out a little. If it is the swith itself, you will need some real service after your three hour drive. You might check your loacl area for a closer service repair source.

My iPad Air crashes alot which is only a problem when filling in forms or working on it , my dads iPhone 6 does the same thing. Are apple products no good any more or is there a way to fix it?! I've tried google chrome and opera and they crash n lose the work too. Basically useless as a work tool

I just cancelled my Iphone 6 order (it wasn't getting here anytime soon anyway) because it is using IOS 8. I wouldn't go near that operating system if you begged me. I used to love Apple products. They absolutely are no good since I upgraded to IOS 8 from 7. What a mistake. My Ipad has crashed 4 times, and after restoring to new, it crashes again. I have lost money on upgrades to apps, or add ons to apps and have finally decided to go to a Windows system. I can always add ipadian to the windows system to use my apple apps. I better not upgrade my apple imac or something terrible might happen. Sorry Apple but I had one of the first Apple IIe's way back in the 80's but you lost me for good, because you are ignoring everyone with this - "it is a hardware problem", no sir it is not. Hi Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo If this doesn't fix your problem Do a Factory Restore this will get rid of some bugs And iPad will be like new Do a backup to iCloud before doing this Make sure you use the same Apple ID I did this last week on iPad Air Running 8.1 It's just like new now very quick Cheers Brian

I am having this same issue. I live in Korea and changing the language to Korean made the messages searchable, but when I changed back to English, the problem returned and I was unable to search all my messages via the search window in the messages app, but then, after about 5 minutes, the messages app crashed, and after that, the problem was resolved. Gotta sat that I'm so far unimpressed with ios 8; seemingly not ready for Primetime.
