Ipad air got hanged
My new Ipad air got hanged after an update message. First all the icons went bigger in size and screen got hanged. I am unable to use it, just I can put my Air in standby mode. Very frustrating is i am unable to turn it off. I request someone from the commnity or apple team to provide a resolution for this issue.
Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

My IPad air got stuck during ios 7.0.6. update how do I fix this??
I was updating my IPad air to version 7.0.6. but now I think it is stuck. All I see is a black screen with a drawing of the charger, a small arrow pointing up and the ITunes logo. Anybody else got this problem? Can someone help me??
YOU ARE IN RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTunes and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note: Data will be lost -
My ipad air got disabled while the laptop I was using to update and restore went off half way, anyone has similar experience? I need help urgently, can anyone tell me what to do please, no Apple store around here.
Is the problem when installing the iOS update, or when trying to restore to your backup ? If the latter then have you tried only doing the updates without restoring to the backup - do you have a different computer that you could try resetting and updating the iPad on ? If that works you could then try restoring to the backup on the computer that you are currently using.
If you have got another computer to try updating on, then take a copy of the iPad's backup directory on the current computer, just in case your iTunes tries to overwrite it when you reconnect to it :
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your Home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then press Return.
Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, then choose Run. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then click OK. -

Go to settings>messages>send and receive at>you can be reached by iMessages at> Uncheck your phone number and you can select your Apple ID emal address if you want to use that for messages.

My wife and I both have iPhones, we just got a new iPad air. Can we set it up for both of us or should we give it it's own setup separate from our phones?
It's a trust issue. You can set them up so you don't receive each other's messages as long as you each have your own email address.
The trust issue is the fact that either of you can change the separation at any time via Settings by checking the appropriate (inappropriate?) email address.
To be absolutely sure you can never receive each other's messages will require two Apple IDs. -
We just got 2 iPad air today and Set up both with the same Apple ID, now I'm getting FaceTime and messages for my 12 yr. old. Do I have to set up a separate Apple ID for her to avoid this?

Just got an ipad air and why creating my apple ID with credit card, a CODE was requested in the itunes gift card/ itunes gift in order to preceed with the form but I don't have the code. Please how can I find the code so as to enable me complete the form successfully. Thanks alot
The iTunes gift card field is optional, you don't have to fill it in - leave it blank if you don't have a gift card.
iTunes gift cards are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue), and they are not available in all countries - so you might not be able to dill it anyway. -
I am new to Apple and just got my iPad Air. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can migrate Contacts from Windows Mail and Favorites from IE that are on a Windows Vista desktop ? The recommendation that I have seen are via using iCloud but that does not appear to work for Windows Vista, just Windows 7 and 8. Thanks.
You could try putting your contacts in through Gmail and then signing in with that Gmail on your iPad. You could also try searching for some kind of app that will transfer data easily (I'll look into it and update it if I find anything). I don't have any Microsoft products so I'm not sure if I'm much help but I'll definitely try. You'll definitely love coming to Apple it's much simpler and easier!

The following is how to do a proper reset of an iDevice:
Device Reset (won't affect settings/data/music/apps/etc)
1. Press and hold (& continue to hold) BOTH the Sleep/Wake button & the Home button.
2. Continue to hold BOTH (ignoring any other messages that may show) until you see the Apple logo on the screen.
3. Release BOTH buttons when you see the Apple logo and allow the device to boot normally. -
Hi, I have bought iPad air, and got apple 12w USB Power Adapter with pin flat plug. It is a problem for me. I live in Switzerland and the electric outlet is suitable only for round pin plug. I do appreciate for your support.

I have a problem, my wife has an ipad with photos , emails etc etc, she has recently got herself a new iPad Air, has now been using that for two or more months, more photos (new) more emails and other stuff. What she wants to do is get all she wants from ipad 1 to new ipad without finishing up with 2 of everything which happen on previous occasion. I realise that she needs to tidy up ipad 1 first and get rid of thousands of emails etc. I need help.
Thanks kiwihdriderHi yes that works well when the new ipad hasn't been used. Trouble new one has been used for two months or more, has lots photos email etc etc. I am worried that these will go. When we did iPhone thru same process finished up with two of most things pics and emails. The emails alone were over 2 thousand and wife reluctant to delete them all. I would and just sort pics. Any other ideas

My wife got an ipad air model A1474 (WIFI only) in an airport shopping centre. She needed connectivity what can we do now to correct this mistake as the model is a mismatch for our environment in Nigeria where WIFI is not common
Mifi devices are usually quite small. Think Credit Card size, and maybe slightly thicker. So not really a big device you need to carry around.
In any case if you are still within the 14 day return period you may be able to return it to an Apple retail store. It needs to be an Apple Owned store, not sure Authorized Resellers will let you do it.
Other than that, bob points out, you may want to try to use the iPhone as a hotspot for the iPad. If your Carrier supports it. Like the Mifi device, the iPhone will share its cellular internet connection out to other devices over a Wireless network the iPad can use.
