IPad Air/iOS8.1 - Text to speech issue with multiple languages.

Hi,
I'm facing troubles while letting my iPad Air (iOS 8.1) to read a text (pdf book in English) loud as it reads one page correctly in English (text is in English)while some other pages it tries to read in Czech (text in English), which sounds strange (and it is hard to understand too). I have both languages installed. Same issue happened with a web site content as well.
Could anyone please help me with that?
I need let iPad read the book loud at once, as it is written - in English.

thanks for responding.
It is unlikely. I have just opened the pdf and swiped with two fingers from the top of the iPad' rim and the "read all page" function has immediately started to read the content automatically.
But as it ends reading this page and continues to read the next one, the problem occures (Czech voice starts to read english text on the second page, which is in English too). iPad stayed untouched during reading.
Nor if I try to select block of text. If I select just few words on both pages, the reading option appears, giving me option to choose language. Then it works correctly on both "sample" pages. But if I do the same and tap and select whole page as a block of text, then again the issue occures.
Wierd...

Seems like you are missing a speech.properties file.
According to this ( [http://freetts.sourceforge.net/javadoc/com/sun/speech/freetts/jsapi/FreeTTSEngineCentral.html] ) it should contain the line:
FreeTTSSynthEngineCentral=com.sun.speech.freetts.jsapi.FreeTTSEngineCentral
And the file should, accordig to this ( [http://java.sun.com/products/java-media/speech/forDevelopers/jsapi-doc/javax/speech/Central.html] ) be placed in:
<user.home>/speech.properties
or
<java.home>/lib/speech.properties

Multi gestures not working on iPad Air ios8 onwards. Turning gestures off then on works briefly. It's annoying. Is the Air bust? In for rep-air?

MMine has not been working ever since ios8 update. Apple blamed a game I have on the iPad, however this problem occurs on all apps including apple own brand.

IPad Air iOS8.0.2. I used the photos app to edit my photos and created a new album for them. When I transfer my photos to my PC via cable (not allowed to use cloud services by my boss) i can only transfer the unedited versions. Any tips? Thanks!

Hi Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple, Logo. If it's still the same it maybe a Hardware fault. Take to Apple Store ring first for an Appointment. Cheers Brian

The iTunes gift card field is optional, you don't have to fill it in - leave it blank if you don't have a gift card.
iTunes gift cards are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue), and they are not available in all countries - so you might not be able to dill it anyway.

My business partner in USA provide a new iPad AIR - either WLAN only or WLAN plus cellular.
Is it possible to use an iPad AIR, which was bought in USA together, with a German SIM-card from "T-MOBIL/TELEKOM Germany"?

You created the same Apple ID with the setup assistant on the new iPad Air - the same Apple ID used for the iTunes and App Store on your iPhone?
There is no charge for a free app regardless.

AIR application installer with multiple languages

How can I distribute my AIR desktop app for Windows and OS X, with multiple languages in the installer? My app itself is completely localized, but I want the installer to be localized too. The issue is, though, that I need it to be localized into Hebrew, which isn't one of the built-in AIR languages. How can I create a custom installer with Hebrew included?

Would it be possible to get the URL to the page that has your AIR badge installer (or the html if it's not publicly viewable)? We'll probably also need further info on the system that's failing, if possible could you post the installer log and check to see if the following file exists:

okay I've finally been able to get tor and all the other programs to work according to my plan the only thing that's still making problems is that iptables doesn't work as I want it to, when I start chromium without proxy settings privoxy doesn't seem to forward the information to polipo.. do I need to add another rule to iptables.rules in order for the program to know it has to reroute the information again or how can I get this to work? and is there any way to run rtorrent with proxy support?
anyway, problem 2 and 3 are still to be solved.
and does anybody know where i can get a good dansguardian blacklist that was not designed for 6 year old children and for which I don't need to subscribe? I'm still getting these partypoker popups -.-

Oh, well that was a whole other kettle of fish:
Oh the G4 I attempted to install iLife '08 before Lepoard was available. About the only thing that installed cleanly was iPhoto. I ended up reinstalling everything back to iLife '06, and then upgrading back to the current stable version of the iLife '06 version. I didn't attempt a reinstall until after I upgraded to Leopard.
When I did reinstall, I made a iLife '06 folder, copied all iLife apps into it, and upgraded. Seemed to work, except for the part where iMovie gets left behind and iDVD is only mostly functional.
When I installed on the other 2 machines, it was after installing Leopard and all upgrades. On those 2 machines, I didn't bother with the copy, I just moved everything to the iLife '06 folder I created, and did a fresh install.
I didn't have to do anything with the iPhoto Libraries, that I can recall.
I always do an upgrade, never an archive and install. I've never had a problem with this back to 10.1 or 10.2.

Issue with Chinese language in DI

My source is AS400 with CCSID=935, my target is Oracle with AL16UTF16. I migrate data from source (in Chinese language) to target by DI version 3.0. I used Client Access ODBC driver to connect to AS400.
It run well. But data is not correct, it can't show in Web Intelligence report, they are only square symbol. It's just got issue with Chinese language, for English, it' fine.
I also tried to set code page of source to shift_jis and target to utf8. But it still got the same result.
I don't know anything I need to set. Please help me to fix this.

Yes. I changed the datastore to default.
I used both method: ODBC driver and IBM iseries access to connect to AS400. ODBC is the same in BODI. In universe, I used default, I can see data. But in BODI, I can't.
My machine is BOE client software. But I created universe in my machine, export it. And then from my machine, I created WI report, also export to CMS. And then I view it in ViewInfo. Everything runs well for both connections.
But in BODI, I use it to migrate data to Oracle. I can't see data in DataView of Designer too. Although, I changed locale, set codepage to default as you told, it didn't work.
Any suggestions please.

SPEL in Extended VO - Issue with Multiple Rows

Hi,
I have extended a seeded VO by adding a new attribute *'Course_Flag'* with attribute type 'Boolean' and Query Column type 'VARCHAR2' and i wa successfully able to personalize and view the data of the new attribute *'Course_Flag'* in the page as ('true' / 'false') aacording to the query where clause.
Now after adding a new image with SPEL property as *${oa.LearnerCatalogCoursesVO.Course_Flag}* it will have an issue with multiple items.
I mean the SPEL will take the first row value 'true' / 'false' and will be corrected rendered according to the value of the first row and ignore other rows values.
Example: if the *'Course_Flag'* value of the first row is 'true' then all the images will be rendered and if the *'Course_Flag'* value of the first row is 'false' then all the images will be NOT rendered.
Please advise if I've missed any step.

Ipad Air iOS8 safari problems

Quite often my iPad Air won't let me select or tap links in safari in iOS8.0.2, the screen is unresponsive.. If i move or scroll the web page it then allows me to click on links.

The EXACT same issue here, albeit an iPad 3, just over a year old, cannot click on anything in a web page till ive scrolled, it's just spazzed out on me and turned off with the apple logo, didn't turn back on, took me 10minutes to get the thing back on, everything is slower since ios8 and even worse since 8.0.2, apps don't respond, doesn't recognise multi gestures? Evidently this is a major problem and it would be prudent for Apple to check in on this one. I'm sure they could do without the press ravaging that one as well as a few morons who sat on their phones and want a replacement. (Unless they really do just fold under pressure, I wouldn't know - im still waiting for my £700 purchase to be delivered over a MONTH after it was promised).

IPad Air - photo auto created in gallery issue

Not sure if anyone found this issue before, the identical photo has been auto created in gallery (iPad Air 7.1.1) many times. I never took the photo myself. it just looks like it came from the internet but I never saved. I wonder if this is a bug and how should i do to solve the issue. Many thanks in advance !!

It also takes time for the photos to be transferred out of your iPhone and into Photo stream on Apple's iCloud servers.
Note that this can't happen if your iPhone is not connected to a WiFi network:
When you enable My Photo Stream on your devices, all new photos you take or import to those devices will be automatically added to your photo stream.
iOS devices: New photos you take are automatically uploaded to your photo stream when you leave the Camera app and are connected to Wi-Fi. My Photo Stream does not push photos over cellular connections.
Macs: Any new photos you import to iPhoto or Aperture begin uploading automatically when you have a Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. Or you can change your iPhoto or Aperture preferences so that only photos you manually add to My Photo Stream are uploaded.
PC with iCloud Control Panel 2.0 or later: Open a Windows Explorer window and under Favorites select iCloud Photos if you are using iCloud Control Panel 3.0 (or Photo Stream if you are using 2.0 to 2.1.2). Open My Photo Stream. Click the "Add photos" button. Select the photos to import to My Photo Stream, then click Open.
