My safari stopped working, so I did an update, and now the Ipad won't start at all...did a re-store, and still nothing. HELP!
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. How do I sync multiple devices on iTunes (iPad Air & iPhone 5) without apps that are only on an iPad Air not syncing on my iPhone 5? I have apps on the iPad that I do not want on the iPhone, but when I sync my iPhone I have apps that are on the iPad sync to it also. How do I fix this so only the apps/data on each device sync to it?

Does anything happens when you try to switch it on ? If not, then assuming that the battery isn't empty (and it can take up to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

I have to do a hard reboot inorder for it to turn off.
It just get the start white apple and then it restarts after a few minutes.
I also cannot access the ipad via itunes and therefore I cannot do a restore. I could access it before the problem happened.
This occured after I updated an app and did a reboot. The update never completed itself (Flipboard)

First thing to try is a reboot of your iPad. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPad restart. See if that fixes your problem.

I have an iPad 3 or the new iPad with the normal charger.. my iPad is not starting is there any way to format it? if not will the apple guys be able to access my data?
Honestly, I don't think that they have any other way of accessing anything on the iPad than any other user has. The Apple Store genius will just put the device through the standard troubleshooting steps - in your case probably try to restore the device to factory settings and if that doesn't work, then they will make some sort of offer for a replacement assuming that your iPad is still under warranty.
If I'm not mistaken they will probably erase the device in order to try to "fix" it. That's what restoring to factory settings does. I assumed that you were concerned about losing data - but if you are concerned that they are going to see something that you don't want them to see or access, I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen.
