Got a new iPad air and when I set it up through iCloud its not coming up with any of my photos

IPad will not sync photos

I recently replaced an iPad that was working perfectly, except the screen cracked. The new one syncs with everything fine, except for photos. Photos worked perfectly on the original one. I am using iPhoto to sync. I haven't done anything differently than with the first iPad. I called the support line and after 90 minutes of trying everything from deleting the photo cache to creating screen shot photos and testing those, nothing worked. I am scheduled to go in and visit the genius bar. In the meantime, I am wondering, has anyone else seen this? Upon syncing, all items work fine, and the photos go through optimization. However, when it is done, it says it is syncing photos for a few seconds, then stops and gives the error: iPad can not sync because the file is missing. What file? Nobody seems to know.

Before you start, you need to secure a computer, of course. Once secured, plug the iPad device into the pc to start the syncing process. After plugging the device, the management screen of the iPad will show up. On this screen locate the Photos tab (uppermost part) and click on it. You should then see a Sync Photos box on top. Put a check on the box. There is a drop-down menu next to it where you can choose the folder or application that restrains the photo library. Options will vary according to what application you select and utilize. Among with these are the option to sync individual galleries and the other choice is to sync the entire photo album.
To sync one folder of photos, you can search the hard drive for the right folder to sync and then continue with syncing the entire folder or subfolders to the iPad system. Once you make sure everything is correct, you can go ahead and click the Apply button at the lower-right side of the iTunes screen to re-sync and save photos to the iPad contrivance.

IPhone 5S/IPad Air not syncing calendars (facebook, exchange, iCloud etc)

I have an iPhone 5S and an iPad Air. Both with iOS 8.1.
Recently I noticed that since the latest updates calendar activities are not syncronized as they should. On My iPhone all my events from the fb calendar are gone, even though the phone marks them as being shown.
iCloud calendars are not synced, missing events from both an exchange server and also from apples own iCloud.
When comparing the iPad and the iPhone it is not the same events that are missing. The phone missing the most activities while the iPad have retained more activities.
Not being able to rely on the phone for my calendars is a major problem for me since I am rarely at my computer(iMac running Yosemite, that sync everything just perfectly).
I have removed accounts anre resynced everything to no avail.
And I think that these issues began with the release of iOS 8.1.

My iPad ios7 will not sync my photo stream. It only received 1/4 of my photos. My iPhone ios6 has the correct photo stream. Tried Turing off photo stream on iPad, afraid to turn off photo stream on iPhone as I may lose data. I know the photo stream limit is 1000 so I keep it at 900. iPad is fully updated. iPhone all apps are fully updated. Same Apple ID is signed in across 2 devices for iCloud. Both are backed up on same wifi. Loading iTunes just to back up photo stream seems silly but maybe forced to. Thank you.

I am absolutly baffled by this one. I cannot seem to get iTunes to sync any conent over.
-The iPad is set up for syncing over the cable as Wifi sync is very buggy
-I've tried different USB ports
-i've restarted iTunes
-Restarted the iPad
-checked and unchecked the content
It is very odd. When I want to add music it the bar at the bottom indicated that this is how much it will fill up on the iPad etc etc. I click on sync and then it goes through it's various steps to determine tracks and then nothing.....
It just simply does not sync anything over even though there is 8GB of free space and plenty of room on the ipad so I know it is not a capcity issue. Any help would be great. Usually a long serving mac user would find a solution but in this case I am puzzeled.

Solved the problem, by upgrading to Mountain Lion.

Thanks Eric. Yes, when the iPad is connected, I have checked the appropriate boxes in the iTunes Photos Tab for the device to try to sync some or all albums, events, etc. from iPhoto and have tried checking the boxes for various subfolders to try to sync from the "Pictures" folder.
I am able to see all of the folder iPhoto and Pictures folder options from iTunes. When I click on the various folders, the capacity bar will increase and decrease depending on what I select or deselect.

1- Report to Apple
2- Close Callendar

iCloud syncing of calendars works for millions of us, so there's nothing to report to Apple.
If you want help fixing your problem, you'll need to provide information as to what you have tried to sync your calendars. For starters, can you sync anything else in iCloud? Have you turned on iCal syncing with icloud in settings>icloud?
You have a mac, have you tried syncing from there? Have you logged into icloud.com from safari on your mac to view the calendars to check if anything is there?

Connect the device to iTunes on your computer (you can do this with a USB cable or by wifi if your software is up to date). Select your device from the 'Device' list in iTunes (Top right corner in iTunes 11) and navigate to the 'Photos' tab. Ensure that the 'Sync Photos' checkbox is checked, select the items you want on your device and click apply/sync.

If so, on your Mac open System Preferences > iCloud
Select: Contacts
Give iCloud a few minutes to sync the data.

iCloud is not syncing photos from phone to ipad? When I login to icloud.com there is no Photo folder?? I read somewhere that you must close camera on iphone for photos to sync, have been doing that, but that's not doing it now.

Photo stream photos are uploaded when the camera app is closed, the device is connected to wifi and has at least 20% battery life remaining. Also, only photos added to the camera roll after enabling photo stream are uploaded, not earlier photos. If those conditions were met and the photos are still not uploading, try turning photo stream off, then back on. Before turning it off, if you have any photo stream photos on it that are older than 30 days and are no longer in the camera roll, save them to the camera roll or you will lose them. (Open your my photo stream album, tap Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll.)

If you can see the iCloud contacts in Outlook, you can copy them back to your PC by selecting all the contacts (click one, then press Control-A), then drag and drop the selected contacts to Contacts under My Contacts on the left sidebar of Outlook.
If you want to copy your calendar back to Outlook, select your iCloud calendar on the left sidebar of Outlook, switch to the list view (select View from the ribbon, then click Change View>List), select your events (click on a single event, then press Control-A), then control drag and drop them to Calendar under My Calendars on the left sidebar.
Then you can sign out of iCloud on the iCloud control panel and your local copies will still be there. If you want to add your iCloud email account back to iCloud, you can do this with these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864.
