IPad air safari browser not working properly

Ever since my last update to 8.1, the safari browser on my iPad air 16 Gb has had problems responding. I can search but the links in the search results may or may not respond. Sometimes the links work and sometimes they don't. I have tried closing all the open windows and clearing the safari history and website data. The problem does not go away. Has anyone found a fix for this problem?

Close all Inactive Apps
1. Double-click the Home button to see all Inactive Apps
2. Hold the Apps down for a second or two until you see the minus sign
3. Tap the minus sign to close App
4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 second until you see the Apple logo

    Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
    Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
    Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

    Hello! Noticed that the Auto-Brightness on iPad mini Retina is not working properly.
    It works correctly only when such a dark place, then unlock the iPad brightness will be at a minimum. Likewise, if unlock iPad in a room with light, the brightness will adjust to the surrounding space.
    If I turn light into a dark room, the brightness slider does not move, and stands on the site. Checked on the iPhone 5S, there problems are not present. Auto Brightness is working correctly.

    And you know they are incorrect because you get sound here and there from time to time? That fact doesn't prove that something isn't working correctly inside. You could very well have a bad connection inside the device causing this, but somehow you seem to know that's not the case.

    I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
    In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
    When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
    Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!

    Try a reset: hold down the home button along with the power button until you see the Apple, then let go.

    what version of iPhoto are you using?
    what system version are you running?
    what do you mean by not working properly? Explain in detail.
    what fixes have you tried?
    where is your library located?
    did you apply any updates or upgrades just prior to the problem occurring?
    are you running a "managed" or "referenced" library?
    what type of Mac?
    how much free space on your boot drive?

  • Safari browser not working.

    Every time I open Safari Browser the Youtube app pops up and, cannot get back to browsing function.

    Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cache (and Clear History)
    If that doesn't work then try closing Safari and YouTube completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Safari or YouTube 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Safari and YouTube apps to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    Try A and B
    (A) Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
    (B) Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
    Hold the Sleep/Wake and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

    Is anyone else having issues?
    My nice new iPad air arrived on Tuesday, 3 days latter I received my apple Smart Cover! Why not send them together? That's another storey.
    After a days use, I notice that the cover is not aligning properly, then I read online that it could be an issues with the actual iPad not the cover, anyone else having these problems?

    You don't have this option?
    Open Settings->General->Lock/Unlock...make sure it is toggled on.
    Also, try restarting the iPad then check Settings again.
    When the iPad recognizes that the cover is installed that setting should appear and as I can recall, it defaults to that setting being ON.  Are you using an Apple Smart Cover or a third party cover.  If it's an Apple cover & that setting doesn't appear, take the cover back to the store & exchange it,  there may be a problem with the magnet placement in the cover.  If that doesn't fix the issue then you may have to make an appointment at a Genius Bar to have them run a diagnostic on your iPad.

    Try some basic troubleshooting:
    (A) Try reset iPad
    Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    (B) Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
    (C) Setup as new (data will be lost)
    Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

    Been using my Ipad2 for 4 months. No problems.
    This morning the screen was just dark grey when starting safari.
    Youtube works - internetconnection (wifi) is ok.
    Tried restarting, but it still does not work.

  • Safari 5 not working properly!

    Until earlier today, Safari was working just fine. Then suddenly, when I was changing options on my iPhone to sync with the Safari bookmarks rather than the IE ones, Safari stopped working. After looking at the processes in Task Manager, it is indeed still running, with Safari32*.exe, but it will not appear on the windows to be used.
    If I click on it on the taskbar, it will flash and light up, then disappear a second later. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and even going through regedit to ensure all keys with the word safari were gone....And it's still not working!!!
    Can someone help?

    Acck. Okay, I think we might have a malware infection on the PC that has compromised your MBAM. There's a chance that that is at the root of the Safari issue as well. The Error 2 is an install error generally on MBAM, but if the recent versions are using Advertised shortcuts, that sort of error can show up on a launch too (when the shortcut runs a check against the installation database prior to launching).
    See the following bleepingcomputer page for some troubleshooting info on the Error 2. (Try another MBAM install to check to see if you get a 2 again, and if you do, try the instructions.)

    I have a new iPad Air 128Gb model.  I was using it and the screen stopped responding.  I used the sleep/wake button and home button trick and it restarted, but still not responding.  The areas you are trying to touch have a box placed around them, but will not let you touch them.  For instance, when I try to put my passcode in I push the number 1 and the number has a box around it, but it does not let me activate the number 1 to unlock the iPad.  I made an appointment at Genius Bar, but I am looking for other solutions or has anyone had something similar happen?

    You have turned on VoiceOver. You turn it off by going to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn it off there.
    To navigate in this mode, you select items by tapping once, then double-tap to activate the item, and need to scroll using THREE fingers.
    Please do not go to the trouble of restoring.
