Ipad Air unable to connect via Citrix Receiver
Hello,
Has anyone been having issues since the beginning of the week with regards to connecting via the Citrix Receiver App? I just get cannot connect, it does launch the applications briefly but then bombs out.
Tried factory reset and upgrading to 8.1 but still same issue.
Did notice Citrix updated their app on Monday.
Thanks,
usb is a digital serial bus it does not carry analog audio to be able to do what you wish a program would have to run on both devices and I doubt that 3th party programs can get access to the usb port in ios
your best bet is to connect the minijack audio out connector of the ios device to a minijack analog input port like line or mic in on the mac
if a such does not exist then you can get usb audio cards for the computer which would have a 3.5mm minijack line in

How can I link my iPad Air and iPhone 4s via Bluetooth, please? They both have Bluetooth turned on but will only search and find nothing. The words 'Now Discoverable' appear under the search panel.
for the devices to find each other via Bluetooth you would need to turn on the iPhones cellular hotspot and then let them search for each other. As far as I have found this Bluetooth connection is only for connecting the iPad to internet via iPhones data plan.
To transfer photos you could setup a new photo stream and put the photos you want transferred in it. When it syncs to the iPad you can save directly to the camera roll and delete the photo stream. You may also be able to delete the photos old photos and re-add them to photo stream so it looks like they are new to the iPad. -
New iPad Air will not connect to wifi?
New iPad Air will not connect to home wifi, but will connect to others outside my home?
Try this:
1. Turn router off for 30 seconds and on again
2. Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
3. Reset iPad; hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo -

My iphone4 and my iPad mini won't connect via blue tooth just continues to search
What are you trying to do?
The Bluetooth is meant for earplug, headset, keyboard, car hands-free set, and speakers.
You need a 3rd party app to do BT file transfer or other functions between iDevices. -
Somehow I didn't finish my question. It was: Greetings, everyone. I just bought an iPad Air and after setting it up, received the following email, which looks scammish to me.(Partially reproduced below.) Or is it legitimate?
"You’ve taken the added security step and provided a rescue email address. Now all you need to do is verify that it belongs to you."This is genuine if you have submitted Rescue email address (tap to enlarge)

Suddenly my ipad is unable to connect to our wifi. It buffers all the time?
All other devices are working normally. Is this a fault wityh my ipad or have I inadvertantly altered some setting? Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

just get the new iPad air and when connecting it to my laptop, why the battery is not charging?
A lot of computers don't provide enough power to their USB ports to charge the iPad at a sufficient rate - it may still be charging slowly, and should be a bit quicker if the iPad's screen is off (if you leave it for a while and then disconnect it from your computer you may find that it's battery percentage has gone up). The wall charger is usually the most efficient way to charge the iPad.

IPad air won't connect to Bluetooth speaker?
My new iPad air will not connect to my Vizio Bluetooth speaker. When I put both devices in discover mode, the speaker is listed on the iPad, but will not connect? The speaker connects just fine to my iPhone, or to my older (original) iPad. I have re-booted the iPad, and powered down(unplugged) the speaker, but no help.
Bluetooth on my iPad air won't find my android phone, but the phone has apparently paired with the iPad. They just won't talk. Same problem with my wife's iPad 4, won't discover anything at all! I know that Apple is known for not communicating with non Apple products but this is ridiculous. Any ideas? Thanks ;)

Microsoft Apps via Citrix Receiver on an iPad
Hi,
Has anyone tried access Citrix applications via the iPad? Eg. MS Word, SAP, Remote Desktop, etc.
I've tried googling this and have had conflicting reports and my local Apple Store rep said it won't work but I would love a confirmation if possible.
Thanks.Hi alemorillo
Sounds great. I'm woundering about citrix receiver on iPad. I'm trying same thing, but I get only the published apps to see. Starting one of those brings 'keep waiting' and the screen remains blank until it returns to the start screen.
What could probably be the problem? ...or better the solution?
by the way: I connect to a citrix farm running XenApp 5 on W2k3 and tried as well to connect to a citrix farm running XenApp 6 on W2k8 R2 - same thing.
Thank for a hint in advanced.
regards, muchos saludos -
After upgrade to IOS 8.3 iPad Air no longer connects to iTunes
Today I upgraded my Macbook Air to Yosemite 10.3 and my iPad Air to IOS 8.3
After upgrading the iPad I was asked to connect it via cable to iTunes in order to allow for wireless sync.
When plugging the cable in, the iPad starts sending endless alert beeps and the top line of the screen is shaking. On iTunes the error message "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone. This device is no longer connected." appears with every alert beep from the iPAD. No matter how often the OK button is pressed, the message appears rightaway again.
I made a full backup of the iPad Air before upgrading to IOS 8.3 but I am very reluctant to reset the iPad as the same error might come up when connecting the iPad after reset to iTunes and then I would not be able to restore it at all.
Does anyone had a similar experience and/or is there any known workaround?
Many Thanks for any suggestion.
G.WThanks for your further consideration, much apreciated. I tried a different cable, different port and did reboot and soft reset. I also did reset of settings on iPad, just in case.
As I can with no problems use the same USB cable and USB port with my iPhone to connect to iTunes, the issue must be somewhat with the iPad Air and iTunes on my Macbook Air. I also can connect the iPad with the same USB Cable to iTunes on a different Macbook with no issues.
I think, best is to do a full backup on a different machine and then setting back the iPad to initial state, followed by a restore.
This I can (hopefully successfully) do with iTunes on a different Macbook.
Many thanks for you kind support. -
Charging an iPad Air in the US via a plug adapter
Hello everyone,
I have a question about charging my European-bought iPad Air in the US.
I am using the original iPad Cable and a socket adapter from SKROOS to charge my iPad and I've noticed that it takes much longer to charge the device compared to Europe. To illustrate I left it completely discharge and then plugged it in in airplane mode and after 4 hours the battery is only 50% full. I do not have another cable to try charging it with, but I've tried two different sockets (at home and at work) and in both cases it takes longer than usual. Hence, I was wondering if taking longer to charge is normal given that I'm using a socket adapter.
Any advice on how to improve the battery charging? Would it be OK if I bought a US charger from Apple? From what I understand my EU-device should hadle the voltage?!
Great many thanks!
RobertAll Apple chargers work from 100-240VAC, 50-60Hz power. All you will need is a plug adapter for the country you are in.
See the various plug configurations for different countries at http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4341
Using US power vs European power shouldn't make a difference.
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. I would like to connect my iPad Air Lightning Output to my Mac Pro via the Mac Pro USB for input of audio from the iPad to the Mac Pro. My Mac is connected to my audio equipment via analog audio out and the TOS connector. I would like to connect the iPad Air to my Mac because these audio connectors are hidden behind my workstation and I already use the MacPro USB port for power/charging the iPad Air. Connecting the headphone out of the iPad to another interface in order to get to my amp is simply another cable that I don't need or want. Less cables are always better IMHO.
Ideas?

Ipad air not staying connected to zagg keyboard
I have an ipad air that I bought 6 months ago. I recently got a zagg keyboard/case for it, but am having problems with the two staying paired. I thought it was the keyboard but after researching online, some people think it's an apple problem. I am unable to speak and use this as my was of communicating, so it gets quite frustrating when I'm in the middle of a conversation and it quits working. Has anyone else had this happen? Were you able to find a solution for it? Thanks for any help or ideas.

New ipad 2 unable to connect to server
bought a new ipad today and set up in the school but now home unable to connect to the server is the error even though I have got the radar signal and wifi account accepted unable to open safari, receive email etc. Have also done a network reset.
The 169 address means that your WiFi router DHCP service did not provide a local network address when your iPad requested one, hence the 169 address.
Try restarting your router by removing power to it for 30 seconds. On your iPad choose Settings > General > > Reset > Reset network settings. Then try to connect.
If this does not work look for a firmware update on the router manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help then provide your router make, model, and version. Also give details on how you have your router configured (DHCP on?, MAC address filtering on? Security type?, etc.)
