IPad Album songs scramble out of order on IOS7

I just loaded IOS7 on my iPad. Now when I open iTunes and select "Albums", all the songs are scrambled out of order. When I select "Artists" and view each album, the songs are back in correct order. Please help...

On almost every album on my iPad the songs are out of order. Yesterday I deleted 6 of the albums, synced to iTunes and reinstalled them. When I opened them on the iPad they were in the correct order. I closed the iPad and ran an errand, came back and open the iPad again only to see all the songs once again out of order. I can't figure out what the problem is. I don't have this problem on my iPhone or either of my iPods, only on the iPad. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Have you tried creating a playlist for your album, then
select the playlist in iTunes.
right-click the playlist name -> select +copy to play order+. -> sync.

Song list out of order?

I've placed my Five Finger Death Punch album on my iPod, but the songs are out of order. Song 4 and 9 are showing as 1 and 2 on the iPod, while on my iTunes it's all correct.

The albums are alphabetical, but the songs aren't. Otherwise the list would be completely screwed up.
Song 4 is titled "The Bleeding," while song 9 is "Death Before Dishonor." Song 1 on the album is "Ashes." So it's not a case of alphabetizing.
I had purchased the singles for The Bleeding and Detha/Dishonor before buying the full album, but I had iTunes delete the duplicate songs when I added the full album to my library.

Songs Play Out of Order

When I try to play music through iTunes, the songs play out of order. It jumps around to random songs instead of playing a full album or artist in the order the songs appear on the screen. I do not have "shuffle" turned on. I don't know if this has anything to do with the little checkboxes next to the song name, but some are checked and others aren't, and I can't figure out how to control that either. Some tips would be much appreciated. Thanks.

So I'm going to have to go into my playlists and enter in track numbers? WEAK! I've made playlists of audio recordings, etc., that were not on CD, so they have no track numbers, then just plugged in some graphics as "album art."
All because apple didn't forsee that some people would have made their own playlists and given it an "album art" graphic? That's a rather obvious thing, isn't it?

I'm not 100% sure but I think you create your play order manually then select the playlist, right click it (or use ctrl+click) & select "Copy to play order".
I think when you burn that playlist it should obey that order, it has been so long since I made a mix CD that I'm not certain, good luck.

Burn playlist and songs mix out of order

I burn my playlist and when it is finished the songs shuffle out of order on the burned CD. I have removed the songs and made a new playlist,then burned a new copy and this did not work.

Songs are out of order

When I download a cd it is downloaded ok but the songs are out of order. How can I rearrange them?

Before clicking the import button, sort on the track number (the leftmost column)
Click on the header of that column and be sure the little triange points up.

Songs displaying out of order in new iTunes

Despite proper track numbers on all the songs, tracks still display out of order when viewing them. Here is an album where the proper track numbers are showing but each song is in a completely random order. Note that shuffle is not enabled.
I've attempted to fix this by adjusting settings in the View menu and clicking and dragging. Nothing helps.
Any tips would be very much appriciated.

THANK YOU! The problem was that some of the songs were labeled as "Album 1 of 1" while other songs had this information completely missing. This didn't affect the track listings in the old iTunes, but got distorted when I upgraded.

Album tracks suddenly out of order

For some reason a few of my albums are out of order-- not considerably out of order, but in one of them the 4th and 6th songs show up 1st and 2nd, and in another the 2nd song shows up 9th.
BEFORE YOU ASK: No, shuffle is not on, and no, the track numbers in iTunes are not incorrect because I have triple-checked this (seems obvious) and the tracks on my nano USED to be in the right order, but now suddenly aren't (and only on these 2 albums, at least that I've noticed so far).
I tried deleting the songs off my nano and recopying them from iTunes (where again, they show up in the right order) but the nano put them in the wrong order again.
Simply resetting doesn't work.
Can anyone give me any ideas how I might fix this? Searched everywhere to no avail, thanks in advance---

ITunes album songs wrong sequence/wrong order

I'm experiencing a problem with the song sequence in certain albums (I purchased these songs on iTunes by the way).
When in Album view, in the Sting album "Ten Summoner's Tales (Remastered)" the nr.10 song "Shape Of My Heart" is placed in front of nr.1, "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You".
When in Songs view, everything seems fine when I select the "Album by Artist/Year" view. I tried to renumber the nr.10 song to a different nr and back. I also tried changing the album into a compilation of songs by different artists. The disc nr. is the same for every song. I also tried to check and uncheck the shuffle button.
"The Soul Cages" by Sting shows the songs in a completely random order.
Every other album seems to be perfectly fine with the song orders. I can't find anything on the net that describes the same problem as I'm having.
I would greatly appreciate it if someone is able to help me out!

This might be a special case, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
I made a "kid safe" version of a comedy album so that I can play it when my kids are around. To do this, I had to edit some of the MP3 files (to remove the questionable material) and then add a new "Edited" version of the album to iTunes. When I did that, the songs on the new version appeared out of order in either Album or Artist (but OK under Songs and on an iPod and iPhone).
After looking at the differences between the original and altered files, I saw that the editing program did not keep the "Disc 1 of 1" information for the edited tracks. Once I added that back in (via Get Info), everything was sorted by track number again.
If that isn't your problem, look for any other "Get Info" inconsistencies between the tracks on the album.

Why is the track order of my album being played out of order?

The track order of my album appears correct in iTunes and on my iPod Classic 160 but.......... it plays the tracks out of order. frustrating when listening to stand up comedies.... I checked the "info" of each album and the track listing/order is correct..... help?

Have you checked your iPod's Settings to make sure the Shuffle setting is set to Off.

Songs sync out of order

I created mp3 versions of songs and since then the songs don't play in order on my iPhone. I recently 'cleaned out' my library by removing duplicates and consolidating library...wiped music from iPhone...restored iPhone...still have the same issues. Any suggestions? I haven't emptied the trash, so if I need to go back and find anything on my MacBook it will be there.

So...
I went through all my music again and made sure things matched up, and if it didn't match up I fixed it...I created a playlist with the 'fixed' music...synced music by playlist only
But then I discovered something else...I went to download from iCloud, to see if I could at least get the purchased albums on my phone. The music seemed to download ok, but when I went to play the music, it started in the middle of the track and then wouldn't play continuously.
I'm not 100% sure, but I may have had music issues prior to the iTunes, iPhone and now iCloud updates. My apple service plan is expired, any further suggestions? Do you think taking my mac and my iPhone in to the Genius Bar is my only option now?

Imported song listed out of order -- yes, I checked song and disc "# of #"s

Imported a five-volume set of CDs. Song #15 of 18, Disc #1 of 5 insists on sitting on top of the order. And, yes, I've checked the column-sorting, it's sorted by album.
It shows up this way on both iTunes and my iPod. WTH?!

Why when I go to my top rated songs the songs are out of order?

I want to have the order the same way the regular playlist has it. Sometimes I want to listen to all my favorites of one album in order.

This is a shuffle?
The purchased song is already in your iTunes music library, with the song file on your computer's drive? Or do you subscribe to iTunes Match, and the song's file is only in your iCloud music library?

If that means you subscribe to iTumes Match, select your iTunes Music library in iTunes (not the song list for the iPod), so that you see the list of Songs in your computer's iTunes library. Right-click on the row of column headings at the top of the list, to drop down a menu showing all possible columns. The columns that are currently visible have a check mark. Select iCloud Download, to make it one of the visible columns. This is the column with the "cloud" button (for songs that are currently not stored on the local drive), that you can click to download the song's file from iCloud.
The song's file needs to be stored locally on the computer's drive, to allow iTunes to sync it to the iPod. iTunes cannot sync songs that are only stored in iCloud to iPods.

Some songs are out of order

When I go to an album, some of the songs that belong further down like 7 or 10 are the first two on there, then the rest are in order. The track numbers are right, but they still don't show up in their proper place, does anyone know what to do?

In iTunes they're in the order that they should be, but when I disconnect my iPod and go to that cd, the 7th and 9th songs are the first two that show up, but the rest of them are in the order they should be.
