Ipad: all my apple apps ( mail, safari, itunes..) fail to open and stay in background

If you double click on the home button, that opens the recents tray and you can see all of the apps you have recently used. Click on one of those app icons when you have that tray open and the app should start up.
If you just click the home button again when the recents tray is open, it will take you back to the home screen and you will be back where you started.

    When I click on the iTunes icon in the Dock the program opens successfully. However it's in the background, i.e., I have to command-tab or minimize other applications in order to see iTunes. iTunes does not open in the foreground and become the active application like all the other apps do.

    When you restored did you restore from a backup or from a fresh install?
    Sometimes when you restore from a backup you will get corrupt files that will continue to show up as long as you are restoring from that back up.

  • Itunes won't open and no solutions have worked so far

    I hate to add another topic about this but I can't get my Itunes to open. I have tried almost every solution on the other topics like this and nothing has worked. When I tried to open it the hourglass appears and then disappears after a short period of time. I don't get any error messages or any windows that pop up. When I got into Windows Task Manager and look under Running Processes Itunes.exe is open and stays open but if I try to close that it doesn't close. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
    So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one.   • Why does my connection to Apple store constantly fail even though I have good internet connectivity to all non-apple apps?

    Hi.
    All of a sudden my IOS devices are having difficulty accessing all of my Apple-store controlled apps and purchases when using my home network, even though it is a really fast network and my other devices work perfectly. Spotify, YouTube and Netflix and all apps that don't rely on Apple purchases are working perfectly on my iPad and ipod, and I have fast internet speed and perfect connectivity on all my other devices.
    But when I go to Newsstand or iTunes Store for example I get the message 'can't connect to Apple server' or 'you are not connected to wifi' even though all non-Apple apps are connecting perfectly on the same device. I have tried all the usual reboot, reset solutions and nothing seems to resolve this. My software is up to date. My iPod and iPad are working perfectly when I use another network. My home network is working perfectly for everything else.
    Any ideas?

    I lost all my apple apps and many more apps on my iphone. Safari, Settings, Application are missing

    From the home screen, swipe DOWN from the top, then in the search field type Settings.  Tap the icon when it appears and then go to General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout to get the supplied apps back.  Go back to the home screen and swipe down again and type the name of each downloaded app to restore.

    all of my apps are in iTunes AND on my iPod Touch. in iTunes, under my iPod, the checkbox next to 'sync apps' (in the Apps page under my iPod) is Unchecked. if I check it, all my apps will be all over the place and I will waste hours trying to get it back to the way it was.     by "un-synced" I mean how it is on my iPod and iTunes at the same time but its not synced

    You should ALWAYS make sure that everything is on your computer and backed up, most especially before any update. The iphone is designed to be synced to your computer regularly.
    If you have failed to do this, then you need to redownload:

    I updated the firmware on my friend's iPhone 3Gs from 4.1 to 4.3.3 using my computer. This is not the computer that my friend used to sync the iPhone and it was the first time when the iPhone was synced to my computer.     Did you try reinstalling the app and contacting the developer (there should be a contact link on the app's description page in the store) ? If you don't get a reply from the developer then you could try
    'report a problem' link from the purchase history on your computer's iTunes instead of on your iPad : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link (iTunes support should reply within, I think, 24 to 48 hours).
    Some people have had a problem with the 'report a problem' link (it's been taking people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) - if it does that to you then try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page.

    See if this fixes things.
    Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

    Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
    Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

    If no joy...
    Reset all settings
    Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
    This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
    If the issue persists...
    Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and Restore
