I just downloaded a tv session and it won't let me put it o my iPad without deleting all my music and the bar pops up and Amy's erase and synce or cancel. Help

Differences in "storage used" between iPad and iTunes
I have an iPad Mini 2 and there a differences between the stated "storage used" between the iPad and iTunes.
Looking in the general settings "Storage" it states I have used 113GB and available is 413MB.
Looking on iTunes, when the iPad is connected, it states I have 67.20GB free.
Which is correct and what causes the problem?
How is it fixed if it is because the iPad has a fault?
Many thanks.It is now a couple of weeks and noticed the discrepancy occurring again. I did not want to go through the above process again because it took about 4 hours to get my iPad up, running again and normal.
Again, there was a difference in memory by about 20GB.
This time it tried something different.
1) Went into General settings on iPad and managed memory. From here I removed all films and TV episodes. Now Video memory was zero.
2) Switched off WiFi. When I opened the Video app, I noticed a pile of films and TV episodes showing, even though they had the cloud icon. They could even be watched. I deleted these films/episodes.
3) Viewed the iPad memory using iTunes on laptop and compared to iPad general settings usage (video memory negligible). Both numbers pretty much spot on.
My musings - I can only assume that the iPad does not properly delete films/episodes that I had previously watched. It is evidently holding on to the video, even though I had deleted them and they were not showing in general settings. Though it is a hassle, I at least now how to find where the "lost" memory is and how to reclaim it. -

I follwed all the instructions on manuals for both iPAD and iTunes re syncing, but after physically connecting iPAD with iMac with USB or via WiFi I still cannot find "phone button" under Device name on iTunes page. Please help! Thanks!
I have been creating a photo book using a lots of photographs on iPhoto, and then I took another photos by using new iPAD which I want to integrate with the original album/book on iMac. I was able to import them from iPAD's iPhoto to iMac's iPhoto. However I cannot import or transfer or sync anything from iMac's iPhoto to that of my iPAD.
So my iPhoto page on iPAD contains only 3 or 4 newly created albums, and no other info. That means no syncing....
I am supposed to be able to work on this project on either of these iPAD and iMac, correct?
I am puzzled. I appreciate for your advice and help.

I just got a new iPad 2 and I have lot of questions. I was able to wirelessly link my iPad and iTunes on my PC. I was able to SYNC my email and calendar (new entries only no history), however I have not been able to SYNC Outlook contacts. Outlook has multiple contact lists. Only one has any data. I can't find a way to delete the others and I can't keep the one I want to use at the top of the list. Any ideas?
I have a question about email. I have several thousand emails in 10 or so days. How can I select multiple emails for deletion in stead of one at a time? How do I designate emails from a given sender as junk or block certain senders?

I'd suggest converting your old videos to one of those formats
handbrake is a free program which does this for you
itunes used to be able to too when I right clicked incompatible media but don't see the option any more
or maybe it only show when one right click incompatible media and currently my lib don't have any

After a rescent update on my ipad 3 I can no longer connect to my pc with WIFI. I have tried resetting ipad and itunes but nothing works. Talked to support and they were no help. Any suggestions?

I have forgotten my passcode for ipad and itunes is asking passcode to be entered - even after following directions for computers not synced... multiple times, but iTunes is not "detecting a device in recovery mode." What do I do now?
DFU Restore
This will very likley result in loss of data.
Plug the iPhone into the computer.
Ensure that it is running the latest version of iTunes and that it has access to the internet.
Press and hold both the home and sleep/wake buttons for exactly eight seconds.
Release only the sleep/wake button but continue to hold the home button for another five seconds.
Let go of the home button, then look at the computer screen for an instructional popup.
The popup should say "iTunes has detected a device in recovery mode. . .(etc)" Click accept to all boxes and let iTunes download and install all of the latest device Firmware and Software.
If no popup appears, repeat the above DFU instructions. If you've never done a DFU, it may take about three attempts to get the timing right. -
Hi, I'm unable to see if I have any music/videos/photos on my ipad and itunes advise that I have 23gb of 'other' material therefore the sync is unable to perform when transfering music/videos to the ipad. I was forced to perform a restore earlier and now cant see the videos/music so want to replace. Pls assist, thanks
23 GB of other indicates a corrupt file(s). A restore should resolve.

I bought a new computer because my other computer was failing. I want to link my iPhone, iPad and iTunes to this computer. I transferred my iTunes library to the new computer files but don't know how to put them INTO the iTunes library that I have set up on the new computer.

You can only buy from the UK iTunes Store, and per the Terms of Use for the UK Store, you agree not to attempt to use it from outside of the UK. Apple may take technological steps to prevent such use, though I've never seen any reliable indication that they do so.

Strange and Sudden Problem With Ipad and Itunes
Hey all, have been searching online and haven't found an answer to this problem... so any help would be very much appreciated!
My girlfriend's father gave us an IPad as a very generous present several months ago. He had hooked it up to his computer to play with it a bit before handing it over, so of course his ITunes info was present when I plugged it into my computer. No problem: I went into the setting and changed everything, sync'ed it up, etc.
No problems until last week.
I saw I needed to update some apps. I went into the Ipad's App Store. It prompted me for my ITunes username and password. I entered it, and it let me continue. I went to update my apps, and it prompted me a second time: this time suddenly asking for my gf's father's password!
I have never had this problem before (use the ipad all the time, etc). As far as troubleshooting, I have so far:
1) Gone into the ipad settings, signed out of my username, signed back in, etc.
2) Signed out of the IPad's itunes in settings, gone into my computer's Itunes and signed out... then plugged Ipad into computer and signed back in to both Itunes at the same time.
But still, the same thing happens.... prompts me for MY itunes password upon just entering the App Store.... then asking for my gf's father's password the moment I try to download something.
Any help would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance!In order to resolve this, you need to do the following:
1) Go back to your girlfriend's father's computer where the iPad was first synced.
2.) Plug the iPad in to the computer.
3.) Sign out of your dad's iTunes Store account via iTunes.
4.) Then, reboot the iPad.
That should fix the issue. -

I have an iPad Mini that backs up to iCloud and has never backed up to iTunes. I read that you can do both.
I want to backup the iPad Mini to iTunes before updating the iOS in case I have to restore. When I connect my iPad to iTunes, it recognizes its name under Devices but I also get the "Welcome to Your New iPad' window with two choices - Setup as as new iPad or Restore from this backup (iPhone 5S). I don't want either of these choices. How can I just back it up!
I did this with my phone without a problem. Is there a setting on the iPad that allows iTunes to recognize it as a non-new iPad?

It sounds like you are trying to back up your iOS device to your iTunes for the first time. You will want to go ahead and say that this is a new iPad, after which you can choose to back up:

You may end up having to delete the stalled apps in order to redownload them, but in the meantime.....
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
Try a reboot as well - hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider.
And .. You can finish the downloads in iTunes on your computer and then sync them to the iPad.
