IPad and OS 7.1 Calendar

Just downloaded IOS 7.1 to my iPhone 5S and iPad Mini w/Retina. The calendar app works fine on the iPhone, but not on the iPad. I can't move to a specific date on the iPad - tapping the date does nothing! I would like to enter an appointment on a specific date, but can't tap on that date. Anyone else with this problem?

Same for me on my iPad. I cannot even choose a date in the monthly view. I cannot move from one week to another. Maybe I just missed the way how but in the past i was used to do it only by swipe of my finger...

When you say not all your calendar info is being copied over, do you mean individual appointments?
On each i-Device, open the calendar app, tap Calendars at the bottom, and make sure all the calendars in the list are checked so they will show. Or tap Show All Calendars at the top. See if that helps.

HT4859 I used ICloud to get my OUTLOOK contacts in to our new IPad and now the Outlook calendar is fine on the PC BUT ALL MY CONTACTS (1200++) are gone from the PC but are in the Ipad. How do i get them back into my PC. Help.

If you can see the iCloud contacts in Outlook, you can copy them back to your PC by selecting all the contacts (click one, then press Control-A), then drag and drop the selected contacts to Contacts under My Contacts on the left sidebar of Outlook.
If you want to copy your calendar back to Outlook, select your iCloud calendar on the left sidebar of Outlook, switch to the list view (select View from the ribbon, then click Change View>List), select your events (click on a single event, then press Control-A), then control drag and drop them to Calendar under My Calendars on the left sidebar.
Then you can sign out of iCloud on the iCloud control panel and your local copies will still be there. If you want to add your iCloud email account back to iCloud, you can do this with these settings: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864.

I did a backup on my Mac after I bought my iPhone 5 after using it for around two weeks. Too late I discovered that was a big mistake because after this backup with my Mac I did not have the new information I added to my iPhone from the purchase date to the back up day. iCloud only syncs your iCloud calendars. If the work calendar on you phone is an exchange calendar it won't sync with iCloud. You would have to set up your exchange calendar on your iPads too in order to view it.
If you aren't trying to sync an exchange calendar, on your phone go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Default Calendar and be sure you have selected a calendar listed under your iCloud account as your default. If not, make this change, then enter a new event on your phone and see if it syncs now.
If your settings are correct and it still doesn't sync, add any missing events from your phone to your iCloud calendar on icloud.com. When your iCloud calendar is up to date, on your phone go to Settings>iCloud, turn Calendars to Off, choose Delete from My iPhone when prompted, after a minute or so, turn calendars back to On to sync back your iCloud calendar, then enter a new event on your phone and see if it syncs now.

I just set up my IPad and lost all my calendars on all devices, including Outlook. How did that happen and how can i prevent that in the future? The only thing that i was asked about was to delete my local contacts or not.

No backup is a bad mistake.
The music sync is one way only - computer to ipod. The exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing, File>Transfer Purchases
Start asap always maintaining a backup of your computer.

Outlook, iPad and iPhone Calendar

Hi guys!
My iPad and iPhone are both synced with my Outlook calendar, so I may keep an eye on all my apointments. However, whenever I have a reminder in Outlook, the Outlook, iPhone and iPad alarms all go on at the same time.
This can be quite cumbersome, deactivating it device by device, Is there a way to deactivate the calendars alarms on the iPad alone, and leave it on iPhone?

I am not talking about the notification alerts from the notification center. I am talking about calndar events with a reminder/alarm that are set in Outlook, and synced with both the iPad and iPhone.
The calendar's alarm iteself will go on, regardless of the notification seetings of the notification center.

IBooks on iPad and iPhone

I have an iPad and and iPhone. I have iBooks app on both. I don't have an iMac computer. Can I get the books I purchased on my iPad to show up on my iPhone. I believe I have the settings on both to Sync.
I saw on on Apple commercial they showed someone reading an iBook on an iPad and then showing the same book being able to be read on the iPhone. There was no iMac in the commercial. This lead me to believe I do not need an iMac in order to share a book on my iPad and iPhone. However, earlier threads seem to indicate a computer is needed to sync iBooks between iPad and iPhone.
My calendar and contacts sync correctly.

The books won't share or bookmarks/collections?

Turn sync bookmarks & collections off, then on again?

I had the same problem on my iphone 4s and before I had realized it my phone synced up with my computer and deleted all the appointments in my outlook calendar as well. I run microsoft exchange and unfortunately my ISP doesnt backup for me so I am left reconstructing my calendar from scratch. Apple support said they had no idea why this had happened and couldnt help me. Not very reassuring.

IPad and iPhone mail sent items does not synch with exchange 365

This has been a longish term issue that vue ignored till now but...
I run exchange 365 hosted service from Microsoft, own domain.
It synchs all no issues with iPad and iPhone mail, contacts calendars etc all except sent items on mail.
My last synced sent items mail is 2012.
It tries to synch ie connecting etc, then fails, locking up mail synch for about an hour then on all folders.
Just want to be able to see sent items stuff

This was a user issue. The webmail account I have stored the Mails other folders under personal folders and there I found that my sent mail had been getting sync'd.
The answer is on the server not the OS Mail

When I view the Calendar list in iCal, there are over 100...and the number is growing. They can not be deleted with a simple "Select all" or "Delete All" and, when deleted individually, the list quickly grows to huge numbers again rapidly. How do I keep this from happening and eliminate the excessive number of calendars?

The only thing I can see strange is that when I login my iCloud account through my principal email address, when I check my preferences is marked an @me.com address that is old and I don't use it anymore, but I can't erase it or even change it.
