IPad App Downloads

Hi my mom just recently bought a new iPad 3 (The new iPad). Well it is his first time to have an apple product, so for short  she doesnt have any itunes/app store account. So she want me now to download some games and apps through his iPad. Well my problem is she doesnt have an account and she doesn't want to create one yet (Because creating account needs some credit card stuffs) so can i use my account instead to log in to his iPad app store then download some apps for her? Will i have any problem or interference or some sort? Because i really dont want to use my account to download some apps that wasn't really my gadget. I solely use my account for my ip4 apps. Please help me thanks!

What you are suggesting will become a pain for you after a while. It can be done, but I suggest having your mom set up an iTunes account without a credit card. She will only be able to download free content, but it will save you some headaches in the long run.
This article explains how she can do this.
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
This is very important .... She must download a free app first in order to start the process. If she already has an Apple ID - and you make it sound like she does not have one yet - she will have to sign out of that account first in Settings>Store>Apple ID.
When she tries to download the free app- she will be prompted to create an Apple ID as part of this process. She should be able to then create an ID for free content.
If you decide to sign into your account in order to buy apps for her, she will always have to use your ID and password in order to update those apps. Apps are always tied to the ID that was used to buy them.

  • Itunes ipad app download STUCK help!

What started as a minor annoyance has evolved into a major hassle.
I attempted to download Sherlock Holmes in HD the other day totally overlooking the fact that there is definitely far to little space remaining on my 16 gig ipad to actually download and store the movie..
I only realized this was the case after getting a request to enter my itunes password about every 10 minutes. I didn't realize why it was asking me and it was starting to drive me crazy..!! What I now realize is that I think with a ending download the itunes store is trying to get me to authenticate myself to restart the download.. But I still have no room on my iPad.
When i load up the itunes app it indicates with the red '1' on the downloads that i have a pending download,.. The big problem is..
There is no way to abort it!,
The app lists the download with "download error" and there is a little "pause" icon next to the download. Then there is a button hat says restart and when i click it it counts up "110 bytes" then "232 bytes" then some sort of download error is listed.
Does anyone know how to just delete/abort/kill this download attempt...? It seems as long as it exists in my itunes app download queue I will be constantly asked for my iTunes password each and every time it auto initiates the next a attempt to download it..
    Help?!? Anyone have any ideas???

Thanks for all the suggestions. I just ended up calling apple and the tech person placed a call into billing and the rental was removed from my account and voilà! The pending download disappeared from my iTunes app on my iPad moments later.. Problem solved.. I can go back to loving my ipad and not feeling like it is harassing me to constantly log into my iTunes account!!

  • None of my ipad apps (downloaded) are opening

I had installed iOS 5.1.1 when it was realised. However, since couple of days none of the downloaded apps are opening /working in my pad and other side native apps just works fine.
I tried reseting all setting to fix this but, nothing did worked out eventually. Any idea to encounter this prob?
    Appreciate your help!

Try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.

  • Using LR with the iPad app?

I want to upgrade to CC mainly for the ability to browse my photos from my iPad.
    1. Does the iPad app download/cache photos onto the iPad?
    2. Is there someway to remotely (away from your network) use the iPad app to browse your LR catalog on your computer?
    Thanks.

You are not inserting it in all the way. Push a little harder (on some iPads the plug is a tight fit the first few times you insert it)

  • Ipad apps not installing

My apps don't install instead the apps picture just comes up with lines and no name

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased.
    Not sure if this applies:
If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

  • Ipad apps are greyed and say waiting, but can open them from app button

The apps were reloaded after the ipad was reset, but only about 1/3 loaded. The rest are grey, and say "waiting" under them. In the app icon, they all show up as loaded, and can be opened, but from the home screen, nothing happens when the app is tapped.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

  • App download stuck 'waiting' message

I have spent too much time trying to enable iPad app download to go beyond the message 'waiting'. I have connected to iTunes, deleted app, done full iPad reset, but the app software download will not go beyond 'waiting' message. The main culprit is iBooks, but I also have problems with Skype and Evernote. Please help!?

  • Ipad App waiting problem

I have paid for several apps on a new Ipad, when I try to download them to the ipad they sit on waiting forever!
I have tried ALL the suggestions on the net, i cant sync to itunes on my macbook as itunes locks up whenever I plug the ipad in to the mac, I have tried pausing and restarting the download, I have tried deleting the download and reinstalling, and I have tried going to updates with the app paused to resume but nothing shows. I have logged in and out of the app store, reset and rebooted the ipad more times than I care to remember.
This is SO frustrating. I only bought the Ipad 2 days ago, and if I cant install apps on it it is absolutely useless to me. I may send it back, and seek a refund from the app store for the apps.
In hope that there is some way to resolve this I am posting here in desperation. I have an important prokect looming which the ipad was to play an important role in, but was dismayed to see the problem, with no resolution for many people all over the net.
    Can ANYONE help? Please?
    Sylwia.

  • IPad apps stay stuck on "loading" upon installing

When ever I purchase a new app from the apple store it won't install but says it's downloaded the icon is usually blackened and says loading under icon or nothing at all.
         - I have tried restore from back up
         - I have tried resetting the device
         - I have the latest iOS Installed
         - I've tried setting up as new iPad and tried loading apps .
All with no success.  Apps still stuck in loading and/or blackened. Please advise if this could bee a hardware issue? Everything. Apps tend to crash on my device including all apps, some don't start at all.

  • IPad app won't download and can't delete it

An iPad app I have previously installed had an update which I went to install as usual.  The download  is stalled on "waiting" and won't progress.  I can't delete the app because when I hold it down it wiggles but the "delete x" won't show.  The App Store keeps telling me there's an update but the app just won't move on from waiting.

Have you tried a reboot? Press and hold the home and power buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple. Release the buttons and let the ipad restart. Many times this clears out whatever is hanging the app.

  • IPad app won't download

    iPad app ,won't download suggestions

    Hi IAndrewD,
Several issues have encountered this issue. We've seen it in some of our reviews on the app store and on our support email list ([email protected]). So far, everyone who's contacted us has been able to successfully update after verifying that their network connection was working and restarting the download.
    Please try the following:
    1) Make sure wifi and/or cellular data are turned on
    2) Test to be sure your internet connection is working by opening safari and browsing to a website (like www.adobe.com).
    3)  Single tap the app’s icon on the home screen and it will pause the download. Now go back to the iTunes Apps store, switch to the “Updates” screen and click “Update” to resume the download.
    4) If this doesn't work,  go to Settings -> iTunes & App Stores and tap the Apple ID to sign-out. Restart the iPad, go back to Settings -> iTunes Apps Store and sign-in. Tap the waiting icon to update the app.
I'd also be happy to work with you on our support email alias or by phone if you email [email protected]
    Thank you!

I have an Apple iphone 4s and for the last 4 weeks I cannot download or update any apps. I have an iPad and a Mac book pro and the apps download on these devices fine. My phone tells me that I have 12 updates but when I press update all or update any individually nothing happens at all. It also does not ask me for my password any more but my iPad and mac book do.
I have signed in and out of the app store and the password is correct. I have tried both kinds of reboot but that did nothing. I have tried to update the apps by connecting phone to Mac book pro...it shows the apps being download on the Mac book and says it will sync them to my phone but it does not. Everything else on my phone works fine.
    Any ideas ...Please!

Thank you, this has resolved both the iphone and ipad problem immediately.  I am concerned that I may have a problem with apps that I bought under my old  AppleID as they will not be recognised.  Any suggestions for this please?
