How to edit pdf formulars on the ipad app?
Are there any restrictions?

Which forumulas you are trying to edit? Is that related to Adobe Reader M? If your PDF documents have formulas (Javascript or FormCalc), they will not work on mobile app at the moment.

Can someone tell me why I can create an Interactive PDF in InDesign, send it to Adobe Forms but not be able to have an Interactive PDF form on an IPad App built with InDesign? Is having an Interactive (by that I mean, adding a name and address and answering questions in the form of text and checkboxes and submitting) form on an IPad at all possible using InDesign? I have a 5 part questionnaire which is included in an IPad app built with InDesign. The recipients of the questionnaire answer the questions, add their name etc. They will visit this questionnaire on a monthly basis for 6 months, and each month a copy of the questionnaire is to be submitted to 3 different people. The responses of the questionnaire will need to be maintained for editing and updating each month.

Is there an iPad app that will let me read a pdf be able to type notes that I can save as a separate plain text file?

In researching a subject, I would like to be able to read several pdfs in succession and keep adding to a text document where I keep notes.
I have seen iPad apps that will let you mark up a pdf, but I would like to have one text file that I keep all my typed notes as a compilation on a subject.
desirable but not critical:
Ideally a split screen where you can have see the pdf and your notes at the same time.
It would be even better if you could copy and paste text from pdf into the note.
It would be great if you could copy a figure into the note (as I can do w/ la partial screen capture on my mac laptop)
I welcome your suggestions if you know of any iPad apps that you think would be useful for the above.

Go to settings> general and scroll down to multitasking geastures, turn them on and by swiping with four fingers from the right side of the iPad to the left and back you can switch between apps. I think this is what you need I'm not sure, I hope it helps

In the file browser view, navigate to Help > Handbook > Copy, edit, delete, manage.
Please take a look at a section titled "Renaming files".
Hopefully, the Help > Handbook and What's New are informative for you to get started on Reader for iOS. If not, let us know what's missing.

Ipad App Open PDF Links But Can Not Go Back

Hi i have just created an iPad app using the HTML5 Captivate App Pacakger. In my course I have links to PDFs that open in a new tab that work great in a browser situation.
Now that i have published the app an iPad IOS app when i click the link to the PDF it takes me to the PDF but there is no way to go back the the last screen in the course!
How can a create a way to go back to the Course screen?

If you have the app on a computer in your iTunes Library, and it has not been updated, you can sync it to your iPad.

Ipad app for displaying pdf bookmarks

I have the new 3rd generation iPad and I'm looking for an iPad app that will display bookmarked PDF's in a manner similar to how they are displayed on my computer (i.e., bookmarks listed in the navigation panel on the left side of the screen and the PDF document to the right of that). I have the iBooks app but it only displays the bookmarks in the Table of Contents and doesn't show the document itself simultaneously. I also have the free Adobe Reader app; however when I tap the bookmarks icon at the bottom of the app it only shows a few bookmarks even though the document contains many more (lately it also seems to crash whenever I try to use it).
The PDF documents I review on a monthly basis are fairly large (2,000+ pages with 200+ bookmarks per document). The ability to do some basic annotations would also be nice but not essential since I would do any serious annotation work to the file in Adobe Acrobat Professional on my computer. Obviously, there are numerous PDF apps available but I can't tell from their descriptions if they will display the bookmarked files in the manner I want. Any suggestions from users who have actual experience with various apps would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I know this is not a reply to your question but I just wanted to ask you about a problem I encountered while mail merging. The steps I follow: Create a mail merge in Microsoft Word using the necessary steps ( I am pretty sure that they are correct) and then press the Finish & Merge button. The messages are then in my configured Outlook's outbox. The problem is that they have been in the outbox for a whole night ad not even one message got sent.

The screen capture is not a good solution because most articles are longer than the screen and require scrolling. I don't know of any way to do this at present. Some web articles have a "print" option which optimizes the article's format for printing, at which point instead of printing, you can opt to save the article as a pdf. But for now, this is only doable on a desktop. Perhaps if printing becomes available for the iPad, this might work.

Guten Morgen zusammen,
momentan suche ich nach einer geeigneten Lösung, mit der ich eine Mehrsprachigkeit in einem interaktiven PDF Formular für das iPad umsetzen kann. Hier ist ja der Lösungsansatz naheliegend, dass wir hier für jede Sprache eine eigene Ebene verwenden und die nicht benötigten entsprechend ausblenden. Das kann ich mir z. B. mit Schaltflächen vorstellen, die dann jeweils eine Sprache repräsentieren.
Sind Ihnen Lösungen bekannt (Tutorials, PDF-Beispielen, konkrete Stellen in der Acrobat SDK Dokumentation, …), die eine solche Mehrsprachigkeit abbilden und auch auf dem iPad funktionieren (Acrobat Reader und/oder PDF Expert)?
Die Schaltflächen-Aktion "Ebebensichtbarkeit einstellen" in Acorbat funktioniert bei mir leider nur am Desktop (Acrobat Pro/Reader) und nicht auf dem iPad (Adobe Reader/PDF Expert).
Ich würde mich sehr über entsprechende Rückmeldungen und Tipps freuen!

@Willi: Es ist ein beschreibbares PDF um das es hier geht, und dies hatte bisher immer mit dem Adobe Reader auch beschreiben und anschl speichern können.
jsflaflex : Das ist ja meine Dilemma, das Dokument steht mit Schreibrecht zur Verfügung, andere Business Parnter können dies entsprechend nutzten. Ich konnte das bisher auch, aber es neue aktuelle PDF Formulare zur Bearbeitung gibt, kann ic diese nur mit der Leserechtfunktion öffenen, zwar beschreiben aber davon nur einen Ausdruck generieren und die beschriebene Form nicht speichern. Man hat mir empfohlen meine Sicherheitseinstellungen zu prüfen, aber auch danach hat sich nichts geändert. Auch das Deinstallieren der Version X und das neu installieren der Version XI hatte kein Erfolg. Ich erhoffte mir Untersützung beim Support, aber ich gelange nur hier in die Community.

PDF-Formular im LCD erstellt - über Adrobe Reader App ausfüllen

ich bin neu in der Adobe Community und benötige Hilfe.
Vorab:
Seit ungefährt 1,5 Jahren erstelle ich für unser Unternehmen PDF-Formulare
mit den LCD ES 8.2 und seit kurzem auch mit dem LCD ES2 9.0.
Ich habe mir das Erstellen von Formularen im LCD beigebracht (durch testen und ausprobieren)
und bin somit ein Laie in dem Programm. Aber für unsere Zwecke genügt es.
Die von mir erstellten Formulare werden an unsere Auftraggeber weitergeleitet
bzw. auf unserer Homepage zum download angeboten.
Die ausgefüllten Formulare werden dann an uns zurückgeschickt.
Folgendes Problem ergibt sich nun:
Die Formulare sollen auch auf Smartphones mit der kostenfreien Adobe Reader App
(egal ob Android oder Apple) ausgefüllt und versendet werden können.
Leider funktioniert das mit den LCD erstellten Formularen nicht.
Am PC-Bildschirm gibt es keine Probleme mit ausfüllen und versenden.
Zum Testen habe ich mal ein Pseudoformular (mit zwei Formularfeldern) mit dem im Adobe Acrobat Pro X
enthaltenen Erstellungstool (heißt glaube ich FormCentral) erstellt. Damit funktioniert es problemlos auf dem Smartphone.
Ich möchte aber nicht alle Formulare im FormCentral neu erstellen und mich in dieses Programm selbst neu einarbeiten.
Meine Fragen:
Gibt es eine Möglichkeit das ich weiterhin mit LCD die Formulare erstelle und diese aber trotzdem auf Smartphones ausfüllbar sind?
Oder sollte ich mir einmal den Aufwand machen und alle Formulare im FormCentral erstellen, damit ich die nächsten Jahre immer auf dem aktuellen Stand bin?
Wenn ja, wie kann ich die LCD-PDF-Formulare am einfachsten im FormCentral übernehmen (importieren), ohne jetzt mit einem weißen Blatt Papier anfangen zu müssen?
Über Hilfestellungen wäre ich sehr dankbar.

vielen Dank für Ihre Antwort.
Mit HTML und ähnlichem bin ich wahrscheinlich überfordert. Dafür habe ich als Laie wohl zu wenig IT-Wissen.
Ich habe mir das Form Central mal angeschaut, aber ich glaube das dieses Programm eher für Onlineumfragen und ähnliches geeignet ist. Jedoch für meine Zwecke nicht das richtige ist.
Es geht um solche Formulare: Anfrageformular Beispiel
Diese werden zum Download zur Verfügung gestellt und auch per E-Mail von unseren Mitarbeitern an Kunden gesendet. (Manche Kunden drucken es sich auch aus und faxen es ausgefüllt zurück )
Haben Sie eine andere / bessere Idee, mit welchem Programm (außer LCD) ich das in dieser Art und Weise als PDF erstellen könnte und trotzdem auf dem aktuellen Softwarestand bin?

IPad app AiO Remote

I scanned document with IPad app AiO Remote and HP printer.
App created .pdf file 306 Mb in documents folder on my iPad Air iOS 8
When I tried to open document in AiO Remote, I receive error:
Not enough memory to complete operation.
And then .pdf preview window showed error
The operation couldn't be completed.
NSURLERRORDOMAIN error -999
Is there any way to save my scanned .pdf document and what is this error means?
Is this some restriction about size of scanned document in AiO a Remote? Or just a bug?

I understand that you are getting error messages when trying to use the AIO remote app.
I would like to help.
I get the 'Not enough memory to complete operation' message tells me that you might be running out of room on the iPad.
Also, the -999 error usually means: another request is made before the previous request is completed.
You could uninstall, then reinstall the app.
There is a Cloud Services department that supports the App.

Opening email attachment in an iPad app

I am having trouble opening an email attachment in an iPad app. How can I get the app I want to use to come up in the list of apps available to be used.

IIRC, there is no way to manipulate which apps can be stored in the Open In window. Certainly, I might be wrong about that. The last app that you used in the Open In window should move to the top of the list the next time you use Open In.
You are swiping the Open In window to get to the next selection of apps available - correct? Another option is to open the PDF in any other PDF app that you have, and from there send it to Idea Flight with the open in option in the PDF app that you use. For instance - open the file in Adobe Reader and then send it to Idea Flight.

I use Pages as my word processor. I could just write down notes there or dictate them. Then come back later to fill in the details. Once done I could email it in Pages, Word or PDF formats.

Adobe Reader highlight does not work in IPAD app

For some reason the highlighter tool in my Adobe Reader IPAD app does not work, any one have advice on this?

Are the pdf files in which you are trying to highlight are scanned copies?
Also are the pdf files password protected?
In password protected files user is not allowed to add any comments.

Opening a file shuts down my iPad app

I've opened my campus map via my adobe iPad app. Every time I open it now in the app, it just shuts the app down. I've tried deleting and uploading a new PDF file. I've tried turning my iPad off and back on again.

Ive downloaded the campus map of my univerity. I open it up using adobe and it works fine the first time.
Its when I go back into the adobe app to look at the map again, it begins to open it up, then just shuts down.
It doesnt always happen, sometimes the app does open it up!!
Ive not used the adobe app much since, so I cant tell you if it happens with other documents.

From what is written in the post above, as soon as you open the file in Adobe Reader, the app shuts down.
