1. Make sure iPad is using the latest software
2. Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>On
3. Make sure Time Zone is correct
4. Reset iPad. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

TS1702 I restored my iPod touch 1st generation and the App Store won't let me download apps I previously had.

I got an iPod touch 1st generation and downloaded loads of apps, some paid some free. A few weeks ago I restored the iPod touch and when I went to download apps that I had already owned it said I needed a newer iOS. It says I need iOS 4.3 and I have iOS 4.2.1 and when i tried to update it says I have no software updates.

It is true that your 1st generation iPad is already now running the highest version of iOS it can. It cannot be updated further. If the developer has pulled the older versions of their apps and now only offers versions requiring iOS 5 or 6 then you will not be able to run those apps any longer (unless you kept backup copies of the older versions in iTunes on your computer).
Developers determine what version(s) of their apps are in the App Store. As many have updated their apps to take advantage of the enhancements in iOS 6 , they've pulled their older versions and no longer support them.

If you were trying to use a debit card then they I don't think that they are still accepted in all countries,or your card issue may have declined the purchases. Do you have a different card that you could try so that what you owe can be paid, or are iTunes gift cards available in your country so that you can redeem one onto your account - if iTunes thinks that you owe money then you won't be able to download anything until what is owed is paid, or you've contacted iTunes Support and they've agreed that you don't owe anything

My app store won't let me download any of the older versions of an app, but in my sisters case she can and she has an ipod touch 2g just like me. She was able to download kik, twitter, instagram, and some more apps that told me I had to have ios 4.3.1 or higher to download. and theres only one app I want and its kik, can someone help me figure out whats wrong with my app store, it would be a great help.

Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)

You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

So I'm moving out soon and I've been sharing my apple ID with my parents. They wanted me to create my own account, so I did and it was going fine until I accidentally deleted the Twitter app on my phone. When I went to go download it again, it acted as if I was redownloading a purchase. But because I was using a different account on my phone, it said I wasn't authorized to download the app.
I know I should have made my own apple ID when I first got my phone, but my parents didn't want me to, and now I'm really stuck. I can't update ANY of my apps or download things that I did on my other account. Is there any way I can like reset my phone without losing anything or am I just stuck like this?

Just got my iPad today. Downloaded the facebook app and another one, then did the new IOS update now the App Store won't let me download anything. It keeps asking me to fill out three security questions but after I submit them it says the session has time out. I've googled it and the answer was to turn the iPad off then on again, that did not work. I signed out and back in. My brother got the same new iPad. He had an existing iTunes account and did the IOS update and is not having any dramas. This really ***** cos I basically can do nothing but surf the Internet with my new iPad...

It keeps saying "Password or Apple ID is incorrect" or it will say "cannot connect to ITunes" and if it doesn't say either one of these it says "An Unknown Error occured" I restored it twice. On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.

Try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.

My iPod touch has been giving me trouble latley. It won't let me download apps and when i try it says incorrect accesory and takes me to edit info when I finish that it doesn't fix anything. Really need help.

Try logging out of your account on the iPod by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.
