IPad applications stuck on the 'waiting' stage - NO HELP IN SIGHT!!!

Hi all,
I've got an iPad 2, and I've had it for just over a year now, and yesterday the following problem occurred.
Whenever I want to download any app on my iPad, it doesn't download, it just stays on the 'waiting' stage.
I've tried everything I can think of, and it seems that there is no help in sight...
The things I have tried include;
1) Deleting the app, then re-downloading it from the App Store - (still the same thing)
2) Turning the iPad off then on again - (no change)
3) Resetting all settings on the iPad - (no difference)
4) Resetting ALL data and settings on the iPad - (stIll the same problem)
5) Soft resetting and hard resetting the iPad - (still on waiting)
6) Resetting the BT Hub for the Internet access
7) Re-starting the BT Hub for Internet access
8) Signing out then signing in to the App Store - (no difference)
9) Disabling pass code lock and restrictions on the iPad - (no change)
10) Using a different apple id to download apps
Something I will try is downloading the app on iTunes on my PC, then syncing it to the iPad - (will post update later)
Thank You very much!
P.S. Please post wether you have had this problem (or if you presently do) and your solution. Thanks!

Do you have any items in the iTunes store app that are waiting to download and need to complete first e.g. is there anything in the Downloads tab in it ?

  • What should I do when my iPhone is in recovery mode, I'm trying to restore, and it's stuck at the "Waiting For iPhone" stage??

I dropped my iPhone on the ground, and as I went to pick it up, I started to swear under my breath as I realized my iPhone was in recovery mode. I'm like "how would an iPhone be this sensitive -_-," and so as my iPhone's docked unto my laptop, and with relentless attempts to restore my iPhone, I always find iTunes stuck at the "Waiting For iPhone" stage and I honestly have no clue what to do at this point. What should I do to bypass this or fix this problem? Or do I just wait? -_-

Nothing except that when I turn it on, there's a USB cable and an iTunes logo above it, indicating that it's in recovery mode.

  • My Ipad is stuck on the connect to itunes screen and I cannot get it to work even when I connect to itunes. I have tried switching it off and plugging it in while the home button and on button are switched but nothing works.  Please help me.

My Ipad is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen, I have tried plugging into iTunes but it makes the necessary noise but the computer does not recognise it and nothing alters on the Ipad screen. Have tried various computers and leads and it still does not work.  Have also tried the switching off, plugging in to computer and turning on again using the on button and then the home button but nothing works.  This happened while I was downloading software update.   Please help me.

I suggested several things to GeekyNerdGirl in her first post here. Take a look.
My iPad is in what seems like permanent restore mode after iOS 7.2 update?
It can take more than a few attempts before Recovery Mode will work and you have to follow the steps exactly. DFU mode is even harder to perform correctly beside of the 10 second hold. Don't stop trying. Eventually one of these methods could work for you.

  • My iPad is stuck on the white apple.

My iPad is stuck on the white apple.  I have tried holding down the power and home keys until it shuts down and continue to hold them down, but then I get a low battery symbol and it won't do anything else.  I tried plugging it into the computer and the wall outlet.  It shows that it's plugged in but doesn't charge, eventually goes back to the white apple.  Help!!

You might want to try it again - even a couple of more times. If it still won't work, let the battery completely drain, after the battery is drained - plug it in for about 30 minutes to let it recharge, and then try again.

  • My IPAD2 is stuck on restoring ipad firmware. Whereas, I had unplugged it several times to restore it again; however my IPAD is stuck on the iTunes logo. Please what should I do to restore or get my IPAD working normal again. Please advise,

    Hi there,
my Ipad is stuck on the iTunes logo. When I try to restore my ipad again it would get stuck on Restoring Ipad Firmware. I had unplugged it several times; and redo the whole restoring agian but its still the same thing. Please really need your help in how I can restore my Ipad to the way it was before.
    please advise,
    Alvin

removing volume control doesn't work for me. please don't try. I tried because i have replaced my LCD before and it is easier for me to do so. Removing your LCD will cause whole lot more issue, such as damage to your WIFI antenna, power and volume button, LCD, and all kind of issue.
The only solution that "experts" can tell you is to restore via DFU mode and this WILL NOT solve the issue, or restore with save SHSH, which i believe most of you don't have. DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME AND GET A DEVICE THAT YOU CAN REALLY "WIPE" AND "RESTORE".
So far there is no solution to fix the "Restoring IPAD firmware" or "Updating IPAD firmware". I really don't know why Apple is adding the check after IOS 7 which is causing so many issues for ipad 2. I guess the reason behind is because the warranty expire and perfect time to force ipad 2 user to buy new ipad, which I personally don't feel like much improvement.  WHY WE NEED APPLE approves when restoring the device that we already paid FULL price for?????
It is ashamed that the issue caused by update or restore are not covered by warranty too. so stay away from new IOS and it will only brick your device and force you to get new device. it is opened secret that new upgrade for any device will ONLY slow down your device and force you to buy new one, especially when new IOS is not making your FLY.

  • My iPad is stuck on the connect to iTunes screen

My iPad was given to me from a friend who couldn't get it to work, So Im not totally sure of the steps leading up to the current issue.
Currently the iPad is stuck at the connect to iTunes screen, it doesn't appear in iTunes, not even in DFU mode. I am running Lion and it has yet to even appear in system profiler. I have tried 2 cables, both work fine with my iPhone but not the iPad. I cant tell if it charges or not, the battery is charged for now, and pluging it in doesn't tell me anything. Any ideas? or is it just a shiny paper weight?
    Thanks.

I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Check here to see if it is still under warranty:
Apple - Support - Check Your Service and Support Coverage
However, you do not a warranty for the Genius Bar.

  • I have serveral albums stuck in the "Waiting" status

I have reloaded the library 3 times now and that has not reset them, they are stuck in the Waiting stutus, I have also run the ITunes Match command about 30 times as well. What do you do?

    Hi,
Try deleting tracks waiting then let match complete its update. Once done, try adding a few tracks at a time. I get the impression that imatch does not "like" some tracks and will not complete the upload.

  • After i updated to the new ios7 my ipad 3 stuck at the window with the terms. I push agree but it is not going on. Please help

After update to the new ios 7, during the restart my ipad 3 stuck at the window with the terms. I push agree but the window is still there. Please help. Thanks

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on anoterh computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • TS1702 My apps haven't gotten past the "waiting" stage. What do I do?

I recently went to the App Store to update some apps. After selecting to update, usually the app says "waiting" and eventually updates. This time none of the selected apps are updating and seem to be frozen in the "waiting" stage. What can I do to fix this problem?

Does the iPod connect to other networks?
Does the iPod see the network?
    Any error messages?
    Do other devices now connect?
    Did the iPod connect before?
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
