IPad apps are not showing up in iTunes

The front page of the App Store in iTunes on my Mac will let me choose between iPhone and iPad, and the iPad apps show up there, But if I navigate to a specific category, I only see iPhone apps. There seems to be no way to choose between seeing iPhone or iPad apps. This just happened, after at least a year of successful iPad app store navigating. I already updated to the currnet version. Same behavior before and after.

Most likely, your iPad is being seen as an iPhone. Connect it then look at the summary screen for the device. It will say iphone at the top of the page. This will prevent you syncing any apps that are iPad only.

Tap the Videos app and tap the movies button at the top of the page.
The iTunes app on your iPad is just a conduit to the iTunes Store. To play your purchases, use the iPod app or the Videos app.

If you're not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
Verify that the app supports notifications.
After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app to begin receiving notifications. If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
Check Settings > Notification Center to ensure that the app is configured for notifications. If notifications do not appear in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.

Did you enable the Side Bar?

When you log into iCloud where? On your computer? If that is what you are doing your apps do not show up in there.

Your purchased apps show up in the app store - purchased music and TV shows in iTunes, purchased books in the iBooks app - look in the purchased tabs of all of those apps for purchased content.

HT1349 I have podcasts on my iphone that are not showing up in iTunes. I can't get the delete arrow on the phone and can't delete from iTunes. Any ideas?

I would like to delete a number of podcasts from my iPhone. They do not show up in iTunes and when I pull the arrow on the phone it does not give me a delete option. I am using a Windows 7 PC. Recently I had to restore my computer, when I first reconnected my iPhone I thought it might sync it and wipe out everything on my iPhone, but it didn't do that. The only thing that seems messed up is the podcasts. I do have an app called Bookmark that I use to listen to books and podcasts. Thanks for any ideas.

Cds are not showing up in itunes!

for some reason cds are not showing up on the source list in itunes when i put it in the disk drive and thus i cannot put my cds onto my ipod. help!

Describe what "cant select" and "cant increase" means.
We cant see what you are doing or with what or where!
These arent things that get "broken".

Apps are not showing up with parental controls

I recently purchased Spellboard from the Mac App Store to help my son with his spelling quizes. I have parental controls set up for him and the app does not show up in his applications folder. I have it selected in parental controls, the app is rated for 4+ and I have the permissions set to 12+. The app shows up and works fine under mine and my wifes logins which are set to admin. I can't figure this out. Any other applications we select that ARE NOT Mac app store purchased show up fine when selected for him. Anyone else run into this problem? Any fix?

Just to clarify, there are no app store purchases that will show up when selected for his account managed with parental controls.

1 day after restoring a backup on my iPhone 5, some of the apps that was previously loaded in from the restoration disappeared somehow. Later on when I tried to download the apps from iTunes, they did not show the disappeared apps at all. It showed on my iPhone that I did purchase these apps, however, it is not being shown on iTunes. iPhone apps don't work on Macs and Mac apps don't run on iOS devices like an iPhone. If you sync an iPhone to a Mac, the apps from the iPhone are stored in the Mac's iTunes app's media library as a backup.
The App Store app on a Mac is not the same as the App Store app on the iPhone. The Mac version is the Mac App Store, apps for Macs. The iPhone version is the iTunes App Store, apps for iOS devices.

App folders not showing up in itunes ???

I have an iPhone 4 and iTunes 10.2.1.1
I have multiple folders set up on my iPhone containing all my apps. However when I sync my phone to iTunes the screen shots of my phone that show up in iTunes does NOT show any folders. (Under the apps tab where you can organize your apps and sync options.) All of my apps show up individually.
Can someone please help?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not unhappy with my overall experience.
I've had it turned on on my iDevices since yesterday, that's how I know it isn't syncing sub-folders.
I've really only ever used smart playlists as a tool, not for order, so that doesn't effect me.
It didn't move my playlists anywhere, thus my beef that I had to move the playlists I wanted access to out of their organized subfolders. When I did this they instantly appeared on my iPad in their new, service acceptable locations.
This is new frontier stuff, and that means there will be some things we learn to do different, and hopefully smarter and faster. Apple doesn't dump this stuff out there and walk away. The kinks will get ironed out, and the early adapter that stick with it will ultimately find the experience they desire, or this was never the service for them. Just because it doesn't work the way you want it to, doesn't mean it doesn't work. I didn't decide to subscribe to the service because change offends me, and I can't blame Apple for finally introducing this new service that I was prepared to join two weeks ago, and didn't have time to re-learn until after the first of the year.
