Ipad apps country

Hi, I purchased my ipad in Spain and set it up in English. I also gave my registration address in England. The apps page still comes up in Spanish. Please help me change this to UK site. Paul

Everyone above has offered good advice but I will offer one more suggestion that may help as well. This is assuming that you do have an account in the UK - a valid credit card and billing address.
If you log in and out of the account as suggested and still have no success - go to Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID. Tap View Apple ID - enter your password and then go to County/Region in the next window and change the country to the UK.
If that does not work - try to change the country in the app store itself. Swipe to the bottom of the screen in the featured tab of the app store and tap on your ID in the lower left corner. Go through the same steps outlined above and see if that works.

  • Lost IPAD.  Has passcode.  Powered off and cellular off due to traveling out of country.  Is there any hope of locating through Icloud account with Find my IPAD app which I had installed?

    I left my IPAD on an airplane last night in the states.  It has a passcode and is registered through Icloud with the Find my IPAD app.  The IPAD is password protected.  It was powered down and cellular data was turned off because I was travelling out of the country.  Is there any chance of locating the IPAD through the Find my IPAD app since the WI-FI and cellular service is turned off?  Please help.

    Apple (and no one else) can not assist (with serial number or iCloud) in finding a lost or stolen iPad.
    Report to police along with serial number. Change all your passwords.

  • Find my iPad app has located my stolen iPad it is in another country how could I go about retrieving this stolen product ?

    I had my iPad stolen and find my iPad app has located it in another country is there anything I can do perhaps contact apple support in the country my iPad ended up in and would they contact police and retrieve this for me ? Surely there is something that can be done under these circumstances ?

    Thank you And I am aware of apple not getting involved although I think there should be some kind of help in these matters worldwide as Apple is multi million dollar enterprise so to set up some kind of help line for reporting these issues to countries law enforcement worldwide would be in their interest to do something as this will deter people from buying their products as indeed it has myself and in a household where there are already two iPads 3 iPhones and a Mac book air I certainly will not be upgrading my products in the future. But I kindly thank you for confirmation of what I already know.

    So far, so good (except that now I'll need to tip off the giftee by asking which email address he uses for iTunes). However... I have a new problem. How do I specify that the gift "arrive" on a specific day, such as a birthday? Dear Obvious Answer: No, I don't want the answer "Buy it on his birthday." I will be out of the country on his birthday, and away from internet/3g/4g connections. I need another choice.

    A different obvious answer: organise it, don't tell him until his birthday. If you cannot phone or text, tell him on a birthday card, posted (remember that?), if necessary inscribed "do not open until your birthday".
    We spend too much time wresting with technology to solve problems that would not even exist a few years ago.

    I may have pressed something on my laptop that reset my iPad, then I just put the apps etc back on... But I have just tried a search in the app store and it's a US version! I cannot update my current UK app either, I message comes up saying it'll take me back to the UK store and that I should re-try but it still doesn't work. I have downloaded the latest iTunes and it didn't make a difference...

    Assuming that you have a credit card in the UK, with a valid billing address for that credit card that matches the credit card statement ....
    Launch the app store app. Go to the Featured Tab. Swipe to the bottom of the screen. Your ID is accessible in the lower left corner. Tap on the ID. Then tap View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go down to Country/Region and change the store to the UK in there.

    Thanks for your help and I only know the AppShopper app before and don't know there is a WEb site!! haha!!
    I also tried to search around and look for the "Staff Picks" and found that very useful but seems for Apple applications only (pls correct me if I am wrong) but it is also a very good direction and indication to me. Thanks both again!!

  • HT1689 Ipad "apps" will not update (was 14 items, now 9).  Ipad used extensively in Europe & UK for a month.  Condition has existed since our return to Canada.  Followed steps as listed in Support to no avail?

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
    It sounds like two (or more) different Apple ID's were used when Apps were purchased and originally downloaded and installed.
    Another possibility might be that maybe some Apps were downloaded in other countries during your travels, and might not be authorized by the developer or by Apple for use in locations other than the country of origin.
    To change the active Apple ID, navigate to Settings, Store, and touch the active Apple ID shown. Then Sign Out, and sign in with the other Apple ID(s). Now go to Apps, and Check for Updates. Once updates are installed, you can again sign out, and sign back in with the other Apple ID used most often.
    My wife and I share her iPad. Initially I downloaded the apps I wanted to use with my Apple ID, and 'her' apps using her Apple ID. That system works pretty well, except for updates. To update everything installed, I had to log in with one Apple ID, download updates, and then log in with the other Apple ID to finish.
    It wasn't a problem when there were only 10 or 15 apps, for each of us, updated infrequently. When it reached more than 100 apps for each of us, it became inconvenient to do the dual updates.
    When I upgraded her iPad to iOS 5.1.1, I deleted most of 'my' apps (most were free anyway), and reinstalled only 'her' apps. Then I re-downloaded most of my free apps from the App store, this time using her Apple ID, to make future app updates easier.

    I understand you're not looking a book or song, but they come put of the same system and operate the same way. Apps can only be downloaded if your iTunes acct is based in a country where that app is licensed to be sold.
    I'm not sure what you mean in the second question - do you see the Guinness app icon? Or does the blue line indicate that it is stuck halfway? Either way press down on the icon until it starts wiggling, and then click on the X to delete it. Redrafting the iPad (press home and power buttons down until screen goes black and you see the Apple icon) might help as well.

  • Xfinity tv iPad app: Play Now gives "Network Unavailable" error

    When I try to use the "Play Now" function on the xfinity tv iPad app, I get this error whenever I try click "Play": "Network Unavailable. Please check your internet connection or proxy settings and try again." This is on an iPad sitting on my home network -- no proxy, strong signal. No other network issues on the iPad (I can browse, use Netflix streaming, etc.). I tried signing out and signing back in, tried deleting the app and re-installing. I can browse all of the other content in the app, so the app itself is clearly connecting to the network just fine -- it just can't play any content. Any ideas? Anyone else see this error? 

    There are two problems mentioned in this thread. Mine was mostly that the "lock orientation" slider is now the "mute slider". Last I checked, I could watch a few movies using Play Now even though I don't subscribe to any premium channels. However, I do need to sign on to my Comcast account. 
    I did remove the app from my iPad and reinstall it from iTunes on my computer.
    The other user, jburst, was getting a "Network Unavailable" message after doing various troubleshooting. I don't know if they are still experiencing that. 
    dragynx, are you saying you are getting that "Network Unavailable" error? Have you totally quit the app? It's my understanding that the Play Now feature is available throughout the country. 
    I'm a customer like you trying to get it to work.

  • Buying ipad apps on ipod.

    I don't know if you know, the tone of my voice hasn't quite exploded yet, but it is getting close to.
    I will try to tone down as far as I can.
    So I went  to the store Friday, to get groceries and I got an iTunes card, because I wanted to buy an intro designer app for 3 dollars.
    I got the 15 dollar card and when I went home to redeem it, I noticed how you can take a picture of the code, which I thought was the coolest thing.
    So I went to the App Store to purchase the app and it asked me for the Apple ID, and submitted. It then said this is the first time buying an app on this device, and asked security questions. I have always used apps on my ipod, and now I am using my family's ipad because it has a bigger screen. So I got the questions and I was pondering, since it was I believe around 2 years ago or around there (sorry about the earlier statements) and I made the questions quick or something because now I can't remember exactly. I was confused why I needed security questions since I used the same internet ip as I did when I signed up, same location.
    I have a couple things in mind:
    Because I have a hard time remembering things exactly, it would seem fair to make the questions so the are more vague:
    ex: The real street you lived in at childhood: Marlen Ave. It should be so you can say "'Marlen Ave" or "Marlen"
    Being that specific hurts those who can't remember easily. As for elementary school teachers, I know all 4 (Some teachers moved up grades with us).
    Coming to to my second point; Can it be possible to purchase an ipad specific app on ipod, not download it, and then transfer the app through the cloud? It appears my ipod is the only device not asking security questions, but the app I want is ipad specific, even on computer I can't do much about it.

    For your account's security questions you will be asked for their answers on the first purchase on a new device and/or computer, it doesn't matter if it's the same network. If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) on your account then you can use that to reset them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6170
    If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset. Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
    When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps on this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620

    For the iPad apps no, you can only buy them directly on an iPad or via your computer's iTunes - you can't buy non-supported apps on devices

  • TS3274 My iPad App Store suddenly all went into the Spanish lanuage when all else and my Setting identifies the language to be English.  I cannot get it back to English.  It appears to be related to an upgrade which is indicatd but I do not know.

    My iPad App Store app suddenly all went into the Spanish language when all else and my Setting identifies my language as English.  I do not know how to get it back to the English language.  It appears to have come with an upgrade as it happened as there was a red circle with "3", but it does not upgrade.  All the icons in the store and the descriptions are in Spanish.

    Change Language
    1. App Store>Featured>Apple ID (at bottom of page)
    2. Tap on Apple ID>View Apple ID
    4. Enter your password
    5. Country/Region>Change Country or Region
