IPad apps have started closing as soon as they are opened.
Safari, mail, and other inbuilt apps are working fine but purchased apps are opening for a second before closing immediately. I downloaded a new app and this works fine too.
I have tried powering off and on and Reset all settings.
I am running version 4.3.3, it's a 32gb ipad1 with 26 applications loaded and 839Mb space left.
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks
Try a reset. Hold down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

I have a problem with two PDF's when trying to open them through a link on a web page. The two PDF's open fine with Adobe on my own PC and on the server I have copied it to but when they are opened through a link on a web page (pointing to the server where the PDFs open fine) I get an error 'There was an error processing a page. Invalid function resource' The other one just doesn't open at all. Can anyone help with this please?
Hello,
Are the pdf linked correctly in the website? Is this a public website? If yes, please post the link here.

I have a new iphone 5. When i download an app it doesn't automatically appear on the homescreens. When I go into the app store I can locate the app and it says it is open. However, when I click the open button nothing happens. I have tried turning off the phone, resetting and restoring. I have signed out of itunes and then signed back in. Nothing is working. When I sync with my macbook pro, I add the new apps to the homescreens and apply but they still don't sync. Please help!!
This is happening right now to countless users. I suspect a server problem. Wait a day and try again.Or let itunes update and then sync (itunes seems to be working for this, I just used it to update apps that do not appear in the update page on my device).

I upgraded my new Ipad to OS 5.1.1, and all apps have started crashing. As soon as I open an app it crashes right away. Tried syncing, restarting, hasnt made a difference.
You mention that you have tried restarting, but did you try a reset?
Simultaneously hold down the Home and the On buttons until the iPad shuts downs. Ignore the Off slider should it appear. This will take ten seconds give or take. After the sut down is complete, press the Onn button to restart. NOTE: this is different from simply shutting down the iPad. -
IPad2 apps have started crashing when launched
Several of my iPad2 apps have started crashing when launched: flipboard and neflix, to be exact. I have turned off the apps, restarted and done a reset, but that has not helped.
If it's happening on all the apps that you've downloaded from the App Store, but not the Apple built-in ones, then try downloading any free app from the store (as that appears to reset something) and then re-try them - the free app can then be deleted.
If it's happening on all apps then try closing them all completely and then see if they work when you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot. -
Most apps have started crashing on startup
As of today, most of my non-Apple standard apps have started crashing/quitting immediately on startup.
All the regular Apple apps work ok - Mail, Camera, Photo.
And some new apps I redownloaded that were crashing, like Google, now work again.
But most of my apps don't work. As soon as I start them up they immediately quit.
I tried a reset, but that didn't help.
Anybody ever see this before?
Thanks,
dougNever mind. It turns out I didn't do a true reset (hold the home and power buttons down until it automatically turns off and restarts). I was doing just a power down.
After a true restart everything started working again.

I have an iphone 4. Recently I have issues with certain apps closing immediately once they are opened.(ie Email). Tried re-booting entire phone and still having issues. Any one else having this issue or know a fix for it?
Delete background Apps from memory and then Reset.
To Delete background Apps, double click Home button, in the bar at bottom, hold down on an App Icon until the minus sign appears, tap all the minus signs, until all background Apps are cleared from memory. Then Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart itself, ignor the 'slide to power off' let the iPhone restart itself. Usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. -

I just started experiencing font problems, fonts deactivate as soon as they are activated. I noticed that in my emails the fonts were suddenly bold and I can't use passwords on Safari in some cases. Has anyone experienced this?

I can't update certain apps they say they are open when I made sure they are closed
I can't update certain apps on my iPad and also iPhone, they say they are open but I made sure they are closed. I still get updates which I can download , but these certain apps seem to just say open. So when you touch open it goes right to the app, so I close it and try again and it still says open, I even tried holding down the power button and rebooting with no success.
On iOS 7 apps that you've updated remain in the Updates tab in the App Store app for a couple of weeks before they disappear off it - if they show 'Open' against them (which will take you into the app) then that indicates that you've already updated them (they should have a grey bar above them with 'Updated 8 November 2013' or similar), if there is an available update for them then they will show 'Update' against them instead e.g.

I have the iPhone and my own Apple ID. I would like the iPad to have my husbands Apple ID so we are able to communicate with each other (he is deaf). How can FaceTime and iMessage be set up to do this?
Log into each device with your own Apple ID's in Settings > iCloud.
Then, so you can share preiously purchased apps, log into both devices using the Apple ID used to make those purchases, but ONLY in Settings > iTunes and Apps Stores.
Verify that each device uses your own Apple IDs in Settings > Facetime and Settings > Messages. -
My iphone 4s will not allow me to open applcations that I have downloaded. I have tried a few things but still will not allow me to open. Shows they are open once pushing the home button twice. Please help!
Pressing the Home button twice does not show you what apps are running. It shows you what apps were recently used.
Download a free app from the App Store. Once it downloads, your other apps should work properly again. -
Firefox no longer loads home page or deletes cookies. I have repeatedly checked both settings and they are correct. It always goes to the last page I was on when I closed the browser .
Go to '''TOOLS''' then''' OPTIONS''' then in '''GENERAL''' panel in '''STARTUP '''session choose '''Show my home page''', then click '''OK''' to save it, exit firefox and restart-it.
