IPad apps won't even launch which tapped

Hi,
On and iPad 2 - with the latest iOS, - I am unable to open any apps on my iPad.  Short of completly wiping it and starting over - I'd really like to have some other options.
    I've done a hardware reset (power +home).
I've deleted an installed App and re-installed it.
I even downloaded a free new app, and no dice.
Is there an option or route I'm missing?

Sign out of your account on the iPad in Settings>Store >Apple ID - restart the iPad and then sign in again and try your apps again.
Did you try syncing with iTunes?

  • Installed Mavericks and several apps won't even launch

I installed Mavericks in my MacBook Pro and now several apps (Calendar, Maps, Photo Boot, App Store, etc) won't launch. There's no error pop up. The icons on the dock just bounce a few times and stop.
    Help, please.

I haven't had this problem but people on this discussion have reported that reinstalling Mavericks (over your current installation) will fix this.

help, one of my ipad apps say waiting even though it synced already, i tried to sync again but instaid of 11 gigs, i now have 10:

    Hey omaredabed,
Thanks for the question. I understand you have an app that seems to be stuck on "Waiting". The following is a past discussion that dealt with a similar issue, the answer may help you as well:
App updates won't download on my...: Apple Support Communities
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4111336
Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

  • IPad app won't download

    iPad app ,won't download suggestions

    Hi IAndrewD,
Several issues have encountered this issue. We've seen it in some of our reviews on the app store and on our support email list ([email protected]). So far, everyone who's contacted us has been able to successfully update after verifying that their network connection was working and restarting the download.
    Please try the following:
    1) Make sure wifi and/or cellular data are turned on
    2) Test to be sure your internet connection is working by opening safari and browsing to a website (like www.adobe.com).
    3)  Single tap the app’s icon on the home screen and it will pause the download. Now go back to the iTunes Apps store, switch to the “Updates” screen and click “Update” to resume the download.
    4) If this doesn't work,  go to Settings -> iTunes & App Stores and tap the Apple ID to sign-out. Restart the iPad, go back to Settings -> iTunes Apps Store and sign-in. Tap the waiting icon to update the app.
I'd also be happy to work with you on our support email alias or by phone if you email [email protected]
    Thank you!

  • ISync won't even launch- MacBook

    I just got a lovely Macbook 17"
It's perfect but for one thing- I can't get my Palm Zire 31 to sync with the macbook, and I suspect this has something to do with the fact that iSync won't even launch. It bounces a few times, and then nothing when I attempt to launch it. I can see the iSync menu but clicking it to drop-down is useless. I have to force quit it.
    Please help!

You must reinstall iSync using Pacifist and an original Mac OS X 10.4 Install or Upgrade DVD. To do so, download Pacifist:
    http://www.charlessoft.com
Then, launch Pacifist and insert your Mac OS X 10.4.2 Install DVD. Wait for it to mount, then press the Open Mac OS X Install packages button. It will begin loading the Essentials.mpkg files.
Find the Contents of Essential.pkg package, and click on the triangle to open it. Click on the triangle in front of the Applications folder, and it will open to reveal a number of files, including the iSync.app file. Select the iSync.app file and press the install button.
You will then have to reapply the latest Mac OS X 10.4.7 Combo update package for your intel-based MacBook Pro in order to update iSync 2 to version 2.3. You will find that package here:

    HI,
*"i'm trying to convert a word doc into a pdf."*
Try opening the Word document. Then File/Print. In the dialog box that opens, bottom left side click PDF/Save as PDF. I'm not certain this will work, but you can try.

  • My iPad apps won't open?

My iPad apps won't open help?

I have the same issues. My iPad 1 will not download apps or update apps.  They are constantly waiting.  I have tried logging out of iTunes, powering down iPad, then restarting and signing back into my apple account ( all through the iPad).  I found a post that mentioned updating the apps on your computer via iTunes, then uploading them onto the iPad.  However, I can't find the update apps button anywhere on iTunes to do that.  So that didn't work.  However, updating apps on my iPhone 4s and iTouch 1 still go just fine.  Im not sure when this started.  I do know that as soon as I downloaded the iOS 5.0.  It was like driving my iPad threw molasses.  The thing was and still is slow as ****.  Which is a whole other can or worms that apple needs to deal with. However, back on topic... My iPad no longer downloads apps, updates apps, and as of right now, will no longer download music that I have purchased through iTunes.  The music just sits the and says waiting to download.  NEED SOME HELP ON THIS!!!!!

Running Lightroom 6 on Windows machine (after having upgraded from LR5... While attempting to add or change music in the Slideshow module, LR unexpectedly quits.  After several attempts at this, LR6 won't even launch properly...shows the splash screen but that's it.  The program is buggy...need an update/revision quickly!!

If you're on Windows, check out a free program called Audacity--it's fantastic.  With Audacity the process of converting a 48.000 kHz to 44.100 kHz is as simply as opening, changing the sample rate, and then exporting again, as an MP3.

  • Installed 4.9... now iTunes won't even launch

Okay.... here it is: I downloaded and installed 4.9 and now when I click on the iTunes shortcut on my desktop, iTunes won't even launch. In addition, my laptop won't even shut down properly now. I get a bizarre error message and it hangs for 4 or 5 minutes (despite the fact that I try to End Program over and over again). I have had to take the battery out to shut it down because of all this. More important, I can't access my iTunes!
    thanks,
    P.

Try using the "Clean' method for uninstalling/reinstalling iTunes. See Da Gohpa's link, toonz' link, as well as all the related links and activities provided below.
You may first want to try a “Repair Install”:
    - Start menu -> Settings -> Control Panels -> Add or Remove Programs
    - Select iTunes, Select Change/Remove button, Select "Repair", Click OK.
If that does not work, then read all the below and apply it to your situation:

b Uninstalling iTunes will not erase your music files,
or the two meta-data files iTunes uses to store your music info files (iTunes 4 Music Library.itl & iTunes Music Library.xml). However, it is
    i always
a prudent idea to have backups of your music files on some external source (CD, DVD or External Hard Drive).
b Prior to implementing the info in the links above,
close ALL running programs. In addition, you
    b should
    i temporarily
disable any TSR programs like firewalls, virus scanners, spy sweepers and the like. You will need to disable them both before uninstalling ANY software and/or before installing ANY software. Most of these TSR programs have System Tray Icons (usually located in the lower-right corner of your XP screen), that allow for an ‘exit’ or ‘quit’ or ‘shutdown’. Usually a single right-click on the icon will bring up a selection menu.
These TSR programs can impede installation of some software or create conflicts later on during operation (or lack of operation) Some anecdotal reports suggest that iTunes 4.8 & 4.9 are affected. Based on the amount of success by folks here who have tried the Clean Install, this seems to be a good solution for a variety of iTunes operational ‘glitches’
Please note that your TSR programs will all restart upon reboot. You will not be left unprotected. This also means that you need to remember to disable them when reinstalling iTunes after rebooting.
    b Also:
You may still need to turn off the 'Fast User Switching' even if no one else is using the computer.
==>Start/Control Panel/User Accounts/Change the way users log on and off/ ==> remove the check mark from FUS.

  • My camera app and snapchat camera don't work. They won't flip cameras and camera app won't even come up

I have a 2 week old iPhone 5s. It just started yesterday. My camera app won't even come up and my snapchat camera won't switch cameras. What is wrong with my phone. I have reset it a million times and turned it off. None of it works. Help me.

    Try a hard reset (reboot)
press and hold the home and power buttons until the Apple icon is displayed, then let go.

  • IPad app won't download and can't delete it

An iPad app I have previously installed had an update which I went to install as usual.  The download  is stalled on "waiting" and won't progress.  I can't delete the app because when I hold it down it wiggles but the "delete x" won't show.  The App Store keeps telling me there's an update but the app just won't move on from waiting.

Have you tried a reboot? Press and hold the home and power buttons simultaneously until you see the Apple. Release the buttons and let the ipad restart. Many times this clears out whatever is hanging the app.

  • Time Machine won't even launch: "Error code -43"

Thwarted from the outset, I can't even launch the app.
    Any clues?

    Hi All
I also cannot launch Time Machine (posted a separate thread here http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1244151&tstart=0 but no replies there yet)
I have a Journaled HFS+ external drive attached, I have turned TM on in the prefs and it has completed a number of backups. The 'backupdb' folder is visible on the backup drive.
However, I cannot get the application to launch, no matter what - click on the dock icon, click on the icon in apps, whatever. The dock icon does not even bounce. There is no response.
I want my over the top galactic animation too!
Anyone seen this happen or know why it might?

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...

  • Many apps crashing, not even launching, a flash and gone...

My iPad(1) ran down on battery last night and I started charging it again this morning for a short spell.  Got it up to about 8% and then when I went to use it, launching Pages, the app seemed to start for a split second, almost taking over the screen as it does and then it flashed goes back to the home screen.  That was happening to all apps, except for the native iPad apps that came with the device.  I haven't tried every single app, but pretty much every app that's not native crashes.  Whenever I attempt to launch an app, its icon does appear in the taskbar at the bottom if I double click the home button.
I stopped using the device and waited until I could fully charge it.  I gave it about 50% and then checked just to see, but it did the same thing.  Then i shut it down and charged it all the way up to 100%.  After all that, nothing changed.  When I connect to my Mac, I can see the device and most of its contents.  I can't see all of my Pages and Keynote docs, but I can see the music and what looks like all Goodreader files.
    Uh...help??
    lee

    Lee
If itunes can't see the docs you want and Goodreader doesn't have them either, I think you are out of luck, but...
Go to itunes on the computer, select Edit, Preferences, Devices tab. You will see a list of all your backups. Look at the dates and Device in this list and see if any of the backups will get you the documents you want.
If you think they are in a backup listed, you can restore that backup to your ipad and harvest them.
    (In a gentle tone...)
Also, on your calendar app on your computer and ipad, add a scheduled sync, reoccuring, so losing files doesn't happen again.
    Good luck !!
