IPad AppStore not downloading apps

For some reason i was downloading free apps on my ipad just fine a few minutes ago and now the App Store wont download any new apps! It downloads recent apps just fine but when i tap the free button on the app i want and put in my password it says waiting for a few seconds and then it says free again and doesn't download the app. the iOS is updated to the most recent version, I'm only using half of the system memory, my wifi is fine, I've tried logging in and out of my account, switched off iCloud, rebooted the iPad, and still it won't download new apps. My ipad isn't jail broken or hacked and I'm not going to set it back to factory setting because 1. its protected by my dad's password and 2. I have stuff that I want to keep that I'll loose if I reset it to factory setting. Plz help? I've tried downloading any free app on the App Store and it does the same thing.

Well, you still haven't told us the particulars of what you're doing. But clearly you are asking your iPad to do a lot of downloading at the same time.
My recommendation:
Reset your iPad by holding the on/off and home buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
Sync your iPad using iTunes on your computer. Let iTunes bear the downloading and/or burden for you.
In the future, when it comes to updating over-the-air, do one thing at a time.

IPad will not download apps.

My iPad will not download apps. It asks for my password, I enter it, then the app appears on screen with "waiting." Then nothing more happens. I am able to download email and get on webpages without trouble. We have an airport wireless router hard wired to our cable modem. Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your Apple ID in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it works.
If that doesn't solve the problem, go to Settings > General > Date & Time and change the date to a few months in the future and then re-try.

Ipad will not download apps from app store

Both my iPad and iPhone whenever I attempt to download an app asks for the password. Whenever I type in the password, it accepts it and then cancels the download. It does not give an error message, and when I purposely attempted to log in with a wrong password, it told me that my password was incorrect. I am stationed in Germany, but my itunes account is set for America as I have an American credit card. What am I doing wrong?

I should think that you would get a messages if you were in the wrong App Store but did you make sure that you are in the U.S. App Store?
Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Apple ID
Tap your ID
Tap View Apple ID
Enter your password
Go to country/region in the popup window to change the store or make sure you are in the correct store.

That seems really odd. Try rebooting the iPad and see if the apps will launch correctly.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

My ipad 2 will not download apps when i try to download them they just say waiting and it does this every time I try.

I had ipad2 almost for eight months and recenytly had problem with appstore but now it is working like before. I exactly did these things:
Remove those recent app that couldn't insall completely (check your itune and remove your old updates list) and
go to setting store and sign out of apple ID and sign in again plus turn off all of the automatic updating
check your available storage (anyway I'm sure you did)
I also remove all of the app that i heard they have problem somehow like google and angry bird...

Depending on why it's been disabled you might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
Or you might need to contact Apple : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
If it then works on your computer's iTunes but not your phone/iPad then try logging out of your account on the phone/iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store (Settings > iTunes & App Stores on iOS 6) and then log back in and see if that 'refreshes' the account on it

If you don't have a credit card for the billing information you may be able to use a gift card or another form of payment.

If you are searching within iTunes, all the Apps are for iDevices. To find Apps for the MacBook, you will need to search using the Mac App Store.

Try and closing the app (app store in this case) and switch it back on and then download. If it still doesn't work, then give the IPad a rest and try again later.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Forgotten RESTRICTIONS Passcode
- Restore from a backup that was make before you added the Restrictions passcode. If you restore from a backup made with the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode is also restored. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod. . Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
