IPad APTX

I have both an iPad 1 and an iPad 3. I also have a brand new QED u play plus with APTX. Both my iPads link via Bluetooth to the QED and the sound quality is excellent. However I wish to experience th e sound quality offered by the APTX codec. So I have purchased a sennheiser BDT 300i .
Unfortunately the dongle refuses to link with the QED u play plus. Both items flash red/blue perpetually.
I have tried the following...
1) I have put the QED in pairing mode first and then set the sennheiser to find it.
2) I have set the sennheiser up first and the set the QED to pairing mode.
3) airplane is turned off.
Nothing works, I've even done a full iPad reset. Still no luck.
Going slightly mad and must assume the brand new sennheiser is broken. It wouldn't link to a Samsung APTX dock either.
Any thoughts?

No Aptx on iPhone,iPod, iPad?

Today I received my new bluetooth headphones. I was so happy at the idea to listen to music with best quality possible thanks to Aptx..
For who doesn't know Aptx is a technology that allows to provide best quakity of sound over bluetooth. I was very disappointed to find out that Apple still today doesn't offer in any of the devices like iPhone, iPad and even iPod that is meant to be to listen to music! (especially when other vendors as samsung, htc, google do have this technology in their media players and smartphones).
Anyone knows if Apple devices will support Aptx soon? If yes when?
All iPod , iPad, macs , iPod should support Aptx!

today I got my Philips AEA2500 Bluetooth Hifi Adapter (with NFC and apt-X) and I tested it with my iPhone 5, Nokia Lumia 800 und MacBook Pro Retina (Mid 2012). I works and sounds good, but in comparison to Airplay something is missing. All devices sound the same via BT. I´m shure the Lumia 800 does not support apt-x, because its to old. I also found a list of apt-x supported devices:

The Mac Books are listed as supported and iPhones, iPads, iPods and the Lumia 800 as not supported.

It seems that in my testcases not the full bandwith is transfered to the BT Receiver, beause "something was missing" in the music, the spectrum was not filled out, no volume and a little bit flat sound against the Airplay solution. In the next Days I will get an iPhone 5S and a Lumia 920 and retest it, but I assume I will not get a better result.
If you dont know the difference, the BT sound sounds well enough. I hope I will get an officially supported APT-X devices and can here the better quality.
So my open questions are:
Does the Mac Book Pro Retina (Mid 2012) really support APT-X?
Why I didn´t hear a difference between MacBook and iPhone, if the Mac Book really supports aptX?
Does it really sound better than without aptX or same like Airplay?

Is there a way of getting a "schedule view" in iCal on a mac and on iPad in the same way you can get one on iPhone?

IS there a way to get a schedule view of events on a busy day in iCal on the iPad 2 Air and on the Macbook Pro? I can get this view on an iPhone.

I am paranoid that some untrusted technician is going to make a copy of my music (11,000 tracks) or share some of my personal information (scanned copies of my birth certificate, passport, certificates, photos, etc.) on the web.
If you put your info into the computer and hand it to another, you have to assume they will copy everything.
Why are you putting scanned copies of valuable identity information into a computer than can be hacked, stolen, lost or compromised by a dirty tech?

No. The tech would just deny it if he did, or tell the truth which the answer would be "NO" in either case.

If it's iTunes music, it has your personal ID embedded into the song files. Most IT techs know this though.

Too late now, all you can do is not worry about it.
Take your personal info out of the machine and if you need it, burn cd/dvd copies, a few USB thumb drives, Iron Keys or self encrypting external storage drives with key and/or keypad.

How can a family share an iPad, specifically, using email? Seperate account

I know, you can have multiple email accounts. i have 3 on my iphone 4. But if my wife, daughter, and I all use the ipad. Can you set up email to ask for what account to load?
Again, i know you can switch after the fact. I am trying to avoid the scenario where I may see my daughter email, or my wife may see mine. Not that we have anything to hide. But if i order flowers or something, i wouldn't want here to inadvertently see the conf email because ipad defaulted to my account.

Perhaps consider setting your family up with Gmail accounts. Gmail (Google's email service, even though you probably already knew that) is totally free and has an awesome web interface, especially on the iPad. Then each member of your family could log in/out of their Gmail accounts using mobile Safari.

How can I use multiple ipad's on one account without sharing individuals personal email accounts?

Is it possible to have multiple ipads on one account and share info, but also allow the individual users to have personal email that is not seen on the other ipad's? We have all ipads on same icloud account because we all need to see the same ical. It seems like that's the problem. If it IS related to icloud then if we have separate icloud accounts, how would we share the main ical otherwise? Sharing the ical is very important for this business so everyone can access the daily schedule. Of course each user still wants to have private email.

you could set up the main icloud itunes acount for ical and not have in setup on the devices
and share the calandar with the other itunes accounts on the devices
or only have it on one device
devices have the users indervidual itunes icloud setup
they should be able to access the shared "main" itunes icloud ical account once it's shared

ECP->Mail Flow->Accepted Domains. Make sure that your default domain is the domain which is having the AD name (eg.domain.local)

Check the outgoing mail server setting. Make sure that your username and password are in there.
Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Your email account>Account>Outgoing mail server - tap the server name next to SMTP and check in the primary server and make sure your username and password are entered and correct - even if it says that the password is optional.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

Cannot send email from my IPad Air

I suddenly cannot send email from my IPad Air. Keep getting message that my email recipient
was rejected by the server because it does not allow relaying. Don't understand what this means as I have been able to send email before.

Paula, in most cases this message appears when you are sending email from a ISP server not in the pop settings and SMTP settings in your email program.
In example if I send out email from my iPad I must be on my own isp's server to send. I have roadrunner but if I send email out using say Verizon's email server I will get a reject notice.
You did not say what email program you are using but if it is hotmail or yahoo or your isp's email in two of these email accounts there are stand alone apps which work much better than the stock email program on the phone.
If you are using road runner or another ISP email you must get the proper Pop3 (incoming) server settings and SMTP (send) settings from your ISP
You can then just go into the Settings-Mail, Contacts and Calendar section and click on the email account and change to the proper settings from your ISP.
You could delete as you were told but why bother when only the sending and receiving settings need to be entered.
If the settings are correct, on an iPhone it tests the settings. If correct send an email. If incorrect you will need the proper settings from your ISP.
It is actually very easy to do.

I have a new ipad2 and a new iPhone 4s. I cannot send email from either. I had an iPad and an android before with no email issues. Phone is Sprint and ipad is Verizon. I have tried using my wifi and have tried turning wifi off. Nothing works. Please help.

I agree, unplug and replug your router, then reset your iPad by holding down the sleep and home buttons, ignore the red power down slider, and wait til you see the silver apple. let it reboot and then try your connection.
Chances are rebooting the router will help. You may also need to talk to cox. They may need to reset something on their end.

I talked with a tech today and he said I cloud is having problems which should be resolved shortly.
In the mean time I used the .me smtp server settings which allowed me to send mail.

I cannot send emails from my iPad and iPhone. I have a virginmedia.com address and I can receive but just cannot send. A message keeps saying the smpt settings are wrong. However, I have followed the tutorial on Virgin Media web site (this is how I managed to start receiving emails on my devices) but still not sending. I have looked at the settings in my MacBook Pro and all seem to be correct. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? I had a similar problem when I loaded Microsoft Office 365 for Mac; I had to end up calling Virgin Media (useless) and then Microsoft (useful). Anyhow I have looked at the settings on the Mac and they all seem to correspond with the ipad and iphone but still cannot send emails. V V Frustrated.

Cannot retrieve business partners in SAP mobile iPad

Hello Colleagues,
since some days I'm not able to retrieve business partners in my SAP mobile App.
Neither in iPad nor in iPhone.
I tried it on 2 different test servers.
A couple of day's before I saw all the business partners.
The only change I did in the last days was executing the steps regarding the Java JRE that was recommended by SAP Note 1582526.
In the Message-Log I've found the following:
The SQL-Exception with the ErrorCode 242 points to a conversion error from the given Date-String to a DateTime Value.
The Date-String is automatically inserted by the (whatever) system, it is the current date.
Is there a possibility to change the DateTime Format so the query can pass thru and I can see the business-partners?

Problem solved
After setting the language of the sql server "sa" from german to english, everything works fine.
I don't know why this problem occurred. I never changed the language before...
