IPad AV adapter to 47' Vizio TV resolution ?

From my iPad I'm getting a 1080p signal but no matter how I adjust screen size it's still only using middle of my screen. Can the iPad only run at 720p therefore I'm unable to have a full screen?

If you go to apple tv settings you see something similar
but apple tv only allows 720p.
My new guess is that a new apple tv will have 1080p as an option.

  • I want to use multiple iPads as external monitors from a PC using the iPad VGA adapter (wired)

I want to send a VGA signal to a couple of iPads using them as monitors. I currently use a pair of regular 13" VGA 1024x768 lcd monitors looping thru an LCD projector displaying the same signal sent to the projector.
I want to use the iPad VGA adapter and WIRE them in just like a convention LCD monitor. Yes there are apps like air display and others but they don't allow cloning and have latency issues and must be networked. I need an app to use the VGA adapter and actually wire them in using a VGA signal from my existing VGA distrubution amp.
The size of the iPad is perfect for my application however I cannot find an app to let me send a signal into the iPad via VGA adapter.
    Any ideas?

  • Ipad HDMI adapter BlackMagic Intensity Shuttle

Anyone ever get the ipad with the Lightning Digital AV Adapter that has HDMI into an Intensity Shuttle?  Thunderbolt or USB3?  I can get it to show video just fine with the Intensity Pro PCIe card but not on the shuttles.  Setting is 720p 60.  Anyone?  Thanks!

The title of the post is..ipad> HDMI adapter> Intensity Shuttle If thats not on topic I dont know what is...  In the post a guy from blackmagic says: "So we've heard of 720p60 working as well as 1080p30."  sooooo.. yeah..  Also the blackmagic boxes are just capture cards taking standard HDMI in, they can do 720, 1080, NTSC..  I have run many different sources into them without issues.  And others have had the 30pin work, I really feel that Apple removed this ability going to the Lightning Digital AV Adapter.  I would love to hear from Apple on this or anyone who has ever got this to work.

  • My iPad mini adapter shorted...I bought a new one but since it charges very slowly and when charged to 100% it falls to 95% immediately after being unplugged...what might be the issue????

my iPad mini adapter shorted...I bought a new one but since it charges very slowly and when charged to 100% it falls to 95% immediately after being unplugged...what might be the issue????

When it does that. Replug the charger and charge to 100%. Now does is stay charged when you unplug the charger.
You may need to recalibrate your battery.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

  • Can I use the Ipad Wall Adapter and my Iphone USB cord to charge my Iphone 5s?

I heard that the IPad wall adapter will charge an IDevice faster, so I was wondering if I used my IPads wall adapter and my IPhones USB cord to charge my IPhone 5s, will it be okay?

You are welcome.  Knowing which chargers are interchangeable helps when traveling, I only carry the iPad charger now since it works fine with the iPhone.  The other way around will not work, however.  You cannot charge an iPad with an iPhone charger, the power rating is too low.

  • Is the iPad power adapter interchangable with iPhone adapter?

Is the iPhone power adapter(5s) interchangeable with the iPad power adapter, both use the lightening connector.

    The short answer is yes.
You can use the iPad adapter with the iPhone.
    iPad requires more power.
If you use the iPhone adapter for the iPad, it will charge but just very very slowly.

  • While charging my ipad when i plugged in the adapter, the adapter and the usb port gets very very hot... Is this normal? I replaced my ipad and adapter but the problem still exist.

While i charge my ipad with adapter the adapter more specifically the internal round cell of adapter and the usb port becomes very very hot... And ultimately my ipad back starts heating a bit. Is that normal?

Take your charger, cable & iPad to an Apple Store for evaluation.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • IPad VGA adapter, picture is dull & pink connected to my projector

I'm having a problem with my VGA connector, and I desperately need a fresh point of view in this issue.
When I connect my iPad to my projector, the picture has a dull reddish, pinkish hue to it. This is true for everything- video app, Netflix, slideshows, etc.
    connection path:
    IPad -> Dock/VGA plug -> VGA cable -> VGA to DVI-A adapter -> Projector DVI-I input (both DVI-A and D)
When I remove my projector and DVI-I adapter from the equation, and plug the VGA cable into a computer monitor, everything looks great. Also, I've tried replacing my iPad in the equation with other computers that have a VGA output, and they all work with the DVI-A adapter and the projector.
So far, my assumption was that something was going on with the iPad and the DVI-A adapter, but I've tried three different adapters, and I get the same results.
    I'm completely stumped. Any ideas?

Late reply I know, but I was googling for iPhone pink VGA and landed here. I was curious if I was the only one. I had a chance to try an iPhone and VGA adapter with a number of displays and I have to say.... 16:9 VGA output on the iPhone blows chunks.
On a HP 23" display, it was totally confused about the resolution (it thought it was 1152*720) and tried to display it inset in a 1920*1080 display.... shifted badly to the right.
A Sony XBR LCD TV displayed it shifted badly up and to the left. Had to max out all video position controls to get it back to the middle.
A TV-One Scaler displayed everything in a dull pink, but at was centered properly on the display.
The only one that got it right was a Dell 4:3 LCD display. However the phone was putting out 1024*768, not 1280*720.
I don't think 16:9 output on the iPhone 4 was tested much.... if at all.

  • IPad VGA Adapter

    Hello All,
I have a problem with connecting iPad with my Philips TV (42PFL5405H/12) using VGA connector (Apple VGA Adapter).
Unfortunately, quality of picture on TV is not good as you can see on the pictures: https://picasaweb.google.com/WojtekK...gCMvRuJeco812#
From Philips support page I received solution: "Please check the output format of your iPad. It must be set to RGB instead of YPbPr."
Thank you for any suggestion how I can change output format of my VGA Adapter to RGB.
    Regards,
    Wojtek

  • Ipad suddenly runs only in a low resolution. Did an itunes restore, but still same problem.

Ipad2 is stuck in a low resolution, icons are large, can't see normal screens. I shut down and restarted the ipad but did not help. Did an itunes Restore, but still same problem. It's like the resolution is now stuck at a high resolution. Anyone seen this problem?

Yes, I just discovered it before getting your reply. Evidently I 3-fingered the screen without knowing it.
I thought I had corrected my "low/high" error, but guess not. ( my first try at posting).
Your comment is right on target.
    Thanks, problem solved.
