Ipad battery not holding a charge
My ipad 2 is not holding a battery charge. I have let the battery completly drain and have charged it using the the cord that I recieved when I bought it, over night, (8hrs +). I have owned my ipad for over 2 yrs. and have never had any problem recharging it until now! Any suggestions?
Have you tried using a different charger? Haven't heard of an iPad battery going bad... however, the chargers do quite regularly from a lot of use.
Let me know if that helps, or if not...

IPad does not hold a charge. Anyone know why?
My ipad does not hold a charge. I charged it yesterday and didnt use it at all today plus I even shut it down all the way not just sleep.
I doubt that anyone here, with the limited knowledge of how you actually use your device, could ever do more than hazard a guess. Your power adapter is bad and not charging properly .... It is possible that the battery indicator is giving you an incorrect reading and that the iPad has more battery power left than it shows on the meter, but if it shuts down on its own after less than say - 6 hours - on a full charge - then something is wrong.

You may want to read both articles and make your own determination. You can always try restoring the device and see if that helps. Read this for help.

You could try a hard reset and see if that helps at all.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. -
My ipad in not holding its charge. A 100% will only last a half of a day depending on how long I use it. 2yrs in december
batteries can only hold a full charge for so many years and you say yours is almost 2 years out. Also, of course battery time will fluctuate depending on how you use it.

Why is my battery not holding a charged now that I have ios7 on my iPhone 4
Why is my battery not holding a charged now that I have ios7 on my iPhone 4
The same is happening to me on my 4 and 4S... Before the software update my battery used to hold up to 1 day for both 4 and 4S. Now I have to charge twice a day the iPhone 4 and three times a day the 4S. Apple should really fix it... I hope they release a new update for iPhone 4 and 4S users...

Battery not holding its charge
My iPad battery is not holding its charge
How long does it stay charged?
Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or - Recalibrate the battery. See link below.
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery
http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/
At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. MacBook Pro Battery Not Holding a Charge
Hi there,
I have a MacBook Pro, purchased Sept. 2007, and the battery seems to have lost the ability to hold a charge. Even after a full charge, the battery only lasts for about 10 minutes before the system reports that it's running on reserve power. I know that similar questions have already been answered, but I would appreciate any analysis of my specific battery information per below.
Thanks!
Machine details:
MacBook Pro 15 Glossy, 2.2Ghz/2GB/120GB
Part Number: MB074LL/A
Purchased: September 24, 2007
Battery Information:
Model Information:
Serial Number: Sony-ASMB012-370f-27a0
Manufacturer: Sony
Device name: ASMB012
Pack Lot Code: 0003
PCB Lot Code: 0000
Firmware Version: 102a
Hardware Revision: 0500
Cell Revision: 0303
Charge Information:
Charge remaining (mAh): 433
Fully charged: No
Charging: Yes
Full charge capacity (mAh): 571
Health Information:
Cycle count: 95
Condition: Check battery
Battery Installed: Yes
Amperage (mA): 879
Voltage (mV): 12549Your battery does not look particularly healthy to me. I also have a MBP purchased in Sept. 2007, and it still holds a charge for hours.
By comparison, here is some of my battery information:
Charge remaining (mAh) 6313
Full charge capacity (mAh) 6586
Cycle count 28
Condition: good
After only 95 cycles, your battery health should be good. And your charge capacities look very low.
Since your Mac is less than a year old and your cycle count is well under 300, your battery should still be under warranty and you should qualify for a free replacement.
You might want to try resetting the SMC, although I don't think that will help. Also, here is a link to a battery replacement program which may not apply to your specific battery, but which does give a good description of the characteristics of a defective battery.

IPhone 4s battery not holding a charge
I just set up an account with AT&T and got a iphone 4s this was Wednesday 22nd May 2013, It didnt hold its charge, I had it charging all that night at 530am Thursday morning battery was at 100% by 8am that morning it was at 36% with light usage, ie, facebook, email, a couple of texts. Went back to AT&T they exchanged the phone for me, the same thing is happening. Should I take it back to AT&T or take it to Apple? So frustrated, we are currently driving across country to our next Army duty station having a new phone that requires constant charging is not helpful.
Hello there, Katronale2012.
Just to rule out usage, before you have to travel again, look over this document that talks about getting the most out of your iPhone's battery:
Apple - Batteries - iPhone
http://www.apple.com/batteries/iphone.html
Specifically,
Optimize Your Settings
Depending on how they are configured, a few features may decrease your iPhone battery life. For example, the frequency with which you retrieve email and the number of email accounts you auto-check can both affect battery life. The tips below apply to an iPhone running iOS 5.0 or later and may help extend your battery life.
Adjust brightness: Dimming the screen is another way to extend battery life. Go to Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper and drag the slider to the left to lower the default screen brightness. In addition, turning on Auto-Brightness allows the screen to adjust its brightness based on current lighting conditions. Go to Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper and set Auto-Brightness to On.
Turn off push mail: If you have a push mail account such as Yahoo! or Microsoft Exchange, turn off push when you don’t need it. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data and set Push to Off. Messages sent to your push email accounts will now be received on your phone based on the global Fetch setting rather than as they arrive.
Fetch new data less frequently: Applications such as Mail can be set to fetch data wirelessly at specific intervals. The more frequently email or other data is fetched, the quicker your battery may drain. To fetch new data manually, from the Home screen choose Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data and tap Manually. To increase the fetch interval, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data and tap Hourly. Note that this is a global setting and applies to all applications that do not support push services.
Turn off push notifications: Some applications from the App Store use the Apple Push Notification service to alert you of new data. Applications that extensively rely on push notifications (such as instant messaging applications) may impact battery life. To disable push notifications, go to Settings > Notifications and disable notifications for select applications. Note that this does not prevent new data from being received when the application is opened. Also, the Notifications setting will not be visible if you do not have any applications installed that support push notifications.
Minimize use of location services: Applications that actively use location services such as Maps may reduce battery life. To disable location services, go to Settings > Privacy > Location Services or use location services only when needed.
Use Airplane Mode in low- or no-coverage areas: Because your iPhone always tries to maintain a connection with the cellular network, it may use more power in low- or no-coverage areas. Turning on Airplane Mode can increase battery life in these situations; however, you will be unable to make or receive calls. To turn on Airplane Mode, go to Settings and set Airplane Mode to On.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,

HT4060 Battery not holding a charge.
We have an iPad 2 32GB and lately it hasn't been holding a charge or charging nearly as fast as it has in the past. We've disable location services on everything with the exception of iPad Finder app. and disabled bluetooth and notifications. We always close out apps hen w're done using them. Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening or any suggestions on how to make it better? We'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
Have you calibrated your battery lately?
From http://www.apple.com/batteries/ipad.html (at the bottom under "Use Your iPad Regularly")
For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
There are also other suggestions in the article for extending battery life. -
We bought 2 new identical ipads, have the same setting and the same everything on them. One stays charged forever and the other loses charge right away. We've kept them in standby over night and mine loses, the other one doesn't. Any info on what to do about this anywhere or what it could be? TIA

Why does my iPad 1 not hold a charge
For past couple of days ipad1 won't hold it's charge for more than an hour or so, charged it overnight and seemed to be ok but quickly drained. Any advice would be welcome.
Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue, i.e. battery.
