Ipad black Screen display problem?

Having a problem today. My iPad fell off my desk (with its case on) and when I picked it up & tried to unlock it i was completely black. I connected it to itunes and did a reset but it's still black it actually talks now and any kind of display or the apple logo appears very briefly (like a second or less) but disappears ?

You could always try the general steps of restarting, resetting, and then trying to restore but Im thinking that this is most likely a hardware issue so you'd be better off visiting an Apple Store first to see what a Genius rep thinks it could be.

Multipe swf try out with adobe air 3.6 on ipad - black screen

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to build our app with the new adobe air 3.6, i read that i should build in aot mode to achieve it to work properly. In Flash Builder simulator the app works well, i see the assets in position(whitch is loaded from another swf "assets/swf/assets.swf") but on the ipad it only shows blacks screen nothing more.
Why is that? Should I set something or i did something wrong?
I am using Flash Builder 4.6 ( I hope i dont need to update to 4.7)

Screen/display problem

I have a problem with my screen/display on a four year old Macbook Pro running OS 10.6.8. Sometimes it goes black but isn't really asleep, just very dark, but I can't wake it up or brighten it. I have to force it to restart. It also gets vertical light patches in the screen, which I can reset using keystrokes, but it still recurs sometimes. This is starting to happen more often. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Could be LED board has a bad back light, logic board is on the way out. Take it to an Apple store, they have a flat repair rate, it's worth a trip ,as they do a diagnostic for free. I had the same issue and they repaired a bunch of stuff for the flat rate, which is about 1/3rd of the cost of the cheapest MBP.

MacBook Pro 2007 black screen nVida problem.

After upgrading to Mavericks on my 2007 MacBook Pro. My display doesn't work anymore. I have a Black screen but computer is booting all the way to start up screen. I think it's the nVida problem. Any suggestions? I have done all resets and still not good.

Black screen display;

anybody out there got the same problem? since my 3GS been updated to 4.2.1 now its dead. black screen. still works in itune and incoming call, i just can´t see anything on the display.

I have been encountering issues with the update as well on my 3GS. When I go to save a new contact, my phone freezes. Sometimes holding down the lock/off button and restarting the phone suffices. Just an hour or so ago, my phone froze with the black screen, then there was the "glare" screen in which it was black but I could see a glare/hue of light being given off. Then I had the black screen with the white pinwheel/engine, but it was not spinning. I held down the lock/off and HOME buttons simultaneously, and the gray/white Apple icon came on the screen. It seems to be doing fine now, but you should try the other suggestions suggested by the first respondent.

Beeping Ipad black screen

Hi guys, I have a problem with my Ipad3. When I charge it to the computer it beeps at me when a black screen with the apple logo. I am trying to reset it but when I go to itunes it tells me to select opions from my Ipad but I cant because its black screen. Any ideas?

Original iPad black screen spinning

I still have my original ipad and it is stuck on the black screen with a spinner. I tried pressing the two buttons which will show a black screen with an apple but then revert back to the black screen with a spinner. I tried connecting it to my Macbook Pro and kept getting the error "itunes could not connect to this ipad. could not save the pairing record'
any ideas or is it dead?

It sounds like your iPad keeps getting to this screen with the spinning wheel on it and you cannot even restore it. Resetting the device by holdign the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons is where I would have started as well. Next I would put the iPad into Recovery Mode with this article, to see if that then allows the iPad to be restored and used again:
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
To put your device into recovery mode, follow these steps:
Turn off your device and leave it off.
Plug in your device's USB cable to a computer with iTunes.
Hold down the Home button on your device as you connect the USB cable. Keep holding down the Home button until you see the Connect to iTunes screen.
When you see this screen, release the Home button. If you don't see this screen, try steps 1 through 3 again.
When your device is connected, iTunes will open. You'll see a message saying that iTunes has detected an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in recovery mode.
Use iTunes to restore your device. Restoring in recovery mode will erase your device. If you previously synced with iTunes or iCloud, you might be able to restore from your backup.

I have a 17" MBP and recently had my display go totally black on me on a plane (which i see has happened to a bunch of other people here)
Took it in and the repair guy won't send it to apple on my warranty because of an unrelated dent in the corner of the computer, which he says apple will claim accidental damage on.
The dent occurred 8 months ago, and my display broke down 2 days ago. All apple could offer me was to get a second opinion, and if the dent is far enough away from the inverter, MAYBE they'll repair it.
Any thoughts on how to proceed here? I'm getting pretty frustrated.

Oh, sorry, didn't get that. That monitor was actually called the 22" Cinema, not 21". Apple had a 21" CRT but I think that was called a Studio Display, so I got confused.
So sometimes it works correctly at 1600 x 1024 under Windows (Bootcamp) and sometimes it doesn't? Is that correct? Those times when it is giving a black screen, have you considered trying to establish a VNC connection to the mini from another computer on the network? You might find that the wrong resolution is being sent to the ACD those times when you get a black screen. Though that doesn't really tell you why it's happening, it's a starting point.

Screen display problem with Lenovo 3000 N100

Hi,
My Lenovo laptop is having a problem with screen display. When i boot the laptop (keeping the screen at 90 degrees to the key board) , there is no display . However, when i tilt it down (lesser than 45 degrees) the display comes back to normal.
In addition, the mystery is that this doesnt happen if do the same after 5 minutes. No matter at what position i have the screen, it works perfect!
Is there a solution for this ? Can some one explain why the display is normal after warming up, but not in the begining (booting) stage.

Screen display problem with Ubuntu on SL400

I just installed Ubuntu latest release 9.04 and having problems witht he screen display. The display does not use the entire screen width. I am losing about one inch and each side. (Note that at times, the display is just right). I tried fixing it using the Display option in System but with not much succes. Any idea how I could resolve this?

N770 TF 2GD5/OC Gaming black screen blinking problem

Hello there,
i upgraded my PC 4 days ago with a MSI N770 TF 2GD5/OC Gaming graphic card. I installed the newest graphic drivers. Clean install and without nVidia Experience. My problem is black screen blinking when i am playing or watching. Screen turns to black for 1-5 seconds like monitor lost its signal. It happening when i click to fullscreen button. No matter if its in youtube or windows. It happening every time. It does the same when i am playing. Big lag and then black screen blinking for 10 sec. Sometimes more sometimes less than 10 sec. I used Google and i am not the only one, who have this problem. Some people says, that GPU BIOS flash helped but in MSI website is only one BIOS and i dont know if its newer than mine or not. S/N of my card is 602-V282-380B1404100829 (if it helps) and my current bios is here h t t p ://leteckaposta.cz/186979270 (just click on the GK104.rom in the middle). I think i tried almost everything. Registry clean, anti malware and spyware, drivers re-install, turn W Aero Off, UAC off and other worthless tips how to fix this issue. I monitored my PC with many temperature software and i am 100% sure, that overheating isnt the problem. So could you please check if the MSI Bios is newer than mine or tell me what to do to fix this irritating problem?

Black Screen render problem

When I try render it is a black screen then makes a sheep noise PLEASE HELP I'm using a macbook air

The sound you are hearing, is the sheep having too much grass.
This is a general render error. If you want more information on what is causing this crash, you should check your render error logs.
You can find where they are stored in the Render Settings --> Log menu.
That being said, it is usually three things that cause this. Two common, one uncommon.
The biggest culprit is a plugin which is rendering badly.
The second, is a codec which is not encoding properly.
The far third, is that your RAM is dumping.
If you want to post those, maybe we can take a look and talk you through it, but without knowing more about what's going on, we can't just tell you what is causing the problem.

Black Screen Display Lenovo logo caught.

I have the Lenovo Ideapad N580 model
with windows 8. he is a persistent problem. he does not care law. getting black screen on Lenovo. care and out several times until it works. I need to know what's his problem. someone give.
reading some information on the forum, should I talk bios. put on the lenovo site in the download. down the bios that is indicated and when I run the following error message appears: AC detect error!

This might be because the unit is not on AC power when you run the BIOS update.
Try Plugging in the AC Charger and re run the update again,

Ipad: black screen when battery has charge

Some months ago, somebody walked on my friend's ipad 2 (model A1395 16GB) and broke the digitizer. The ipad was working with the touchscreen broken. It was then left untouhed for 2 or 3 months. My friend learned that I know a bit about electronics and computer and was capable and willing to help do a straight digitizer swap. She then bought the kit online and I have replaced the digitizer for her.
The problem now is this:
- when the battery is empty and I plug the ipad in the mains and press the home button, the screen shows for a few seconds, in the middle on a blue background, the empty battery with 3 red lines at the bottom. So the screen is woring, OK?
- wrong! When I come back after having waited for the battery to charge (wether it is 30 minutes, 2 hours or 24 hours), pressing the home the first time give me a kind of explosion or passing wave of light on the screen, lasting less than a second, then the screen stays black. No matter how many times I press the home button afterwards, the backlights light up but the screen remains black.
- after reading a few forums, I have tried the "spanking" method, or the way I do it it is the "light tapping" method, getting progressively stronger but always controlled (it's not my ipad). Of all the sisty or seventy taps I must have made at different times, I got a result only once: for 1 or 2 seconds I saw a screen (I think blue but can't be certain) with a turning circle in the middle. I think it was a circle made of dashes but I can't be sure, it was so brief! It was definitely animated though!
I don't screen the screen is broken, because it displays perfectly the empty battery logo.
What could happens that means the screen does not display when the battery is charged? Has anybody got any ideas?

so is there a different circuit for power when the batteries are not working? I am just wondering why the screen work in that instance.
It seems as if we should have sent the ipad back to Apple straight away. It seems simple enough to change the digitizer though...
Should I try now to change the battery? We seem to have nothing to loose.
