IPad, Blogger, & Amazon Carousel Widget

A widget shows up fine on an iMac in Mac OS, but does not appear on the iPad. Specifically, this is what is used:
Safari
Google Blogger
Amazon Carousel Widget (displays books)
Blogger in Safari on the iMac with Mac OS 10.7.3 displays the widget as expected.
Blogger in Safari on an iPad 3 running iOS 5.1 leaves a blank space and displays nothing.
Any helpful thoughts out there on how to get the widget to display on the iPad? (Yes, I will folow up in the Safari forum and also with Google & Amazon. But the smart people are all here ...)
Thanks.  - Fabini

    If i buy an iPad from Amazon can I still purchase apple care?

    How to get AppleCare+
    Purchase AppleCare+ together with your new iPad, and you'll be automatically registered in the plan. Add it to your shopping cart during the checkout process when you purchase your new iPad.
    Or buy it within 30 days of your iPad purchase:
    At an Apple Retail Store (if AppleCare+ is purchased separately from iPad, inspection of iPad and proof of purchase are required.)
    Or call (800) 275-2273 (requires you to run a remote diagnostic and provide proof of purchase)

  • IPad and Amazon

    I ordered my iPad yesterday - Happy Mother's Day to me! I already have a Kindle and a lot of books in my Amazon account. Will I be able to transfer these books to my iPad?

    The iPad Kindle app is terrific (I just wish they'd upgrade their Stanza app as well). The only thing that threw me, however, was how to get back to Home after downloading archived books (retrieved through the very convenient in-app sync). You have to press that "Showing..." notice on the bottom left after which it gives you the choice to go Home or to the Archive. For whatever reason, I just could not figure that out. Had to do what I hate- read the manual!

  • Ipad 2 Amazon instant video playback resumes every 5 min

    I'm new to Amazon Instant Video. Every playback halts after 5-10 mins and i have to resume. I have DSL at 6 meg download and both my iphone 5 and Dell Studio PC both playback wirelessly flawlessly from Amazon so it's not the connection or Amazon servers. My Ipad is a model MC769LL/A wifi only running 6.1.3 os and has 7 GB available of 14 GB total. Any ideas how to fix????? Thansk

    Check.
    Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and then on again.
    Verify that you are in range of your Wi-Fi router or base station.
    Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and Cable/DSL modem are connected to power and turned on.
    Check whether other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware.  For AirPort Base Stations, refer to this article for information about firmware updates. For third-party Wi-Fi routers, check the manufacturer's website for details on updating your firmware.
    Restart your iOS device  Hold the On/Off button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off your device. When it is off, press the On/Off button to turn it back on.
    Is this what you're refering to? I've updated IOs, turned on/off, removed leather case, tried different routers,
    What else does this say that i'm missing?

  • Simple carousel widget?

    Is there some kind of easy way to drop in simple photo carousels? I am writing articles with multiple photos, and it seems to me that to be able to drop the photos into easy to manage carousels would be the way to do it. Is there any kind of extension or widget for this, or a suggestion for an easy way to do it? I will have to do it thousands of times so I want it to be really light and easy to use. I like jcarousel but i have to manually to the thumbs and image paths which is a pain.
    Any ideas appreciated!

    Look at jAlbum (free software download).  It can manage many photo albums with great ease in a variety of gallery styles (skins).
    jAlbum photo gallery makes thumbnails and gallery HTML pages for you in a matter of seconds from a click and drag interface.   Lots of room for customization too with CSS and optional filters.

    Yeah, it does make me appreciate Wordpress. I would have
    stuck with it, but
    when I found out that you have to pay to edit your CSS (on
    their hosted
    plan), I switched back to Blogger!
    I'll keep my eye on that beta ("draft") version of Blogger. I
    have to be
    cautious with my client's account, but maybe I'll try it for
    my own blogs.
    Thanks again...!

  • Keynote widget blank when viewing on iPad

    I make extensive use of the Keynote widget when creating my books.  On occasion after previewing the book on my iPad, I launch the widget and the screen comes up blank.  The only way to get it back to normal is to quit iBooks and restart the app. Then all widgets are back to normal...until it eventually happens again.  If one widget goes blank, all widgets in the book go blank.  Any suggetions?
    When I export the presentation from keynote, I export it in low quality and then drag the folder into iBooks Author. At which point I make it full screen only.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as so far this is the only fallback I'm having with iBooks Author.

    Submit a bug report to Apple. If it works, then stops working, and works again after restarting iBooks, that clearly indicates a bug.
    Michi.

  • If i buy a new IPad 4 on Amazon, can i use it verizon

    I want to buy the new Ipad off Amazon.  Before with the Ipad 3 you had to pick the specific one for your carrier.  With the Ipad 4 I do not see any that say 4G or that are carrier specific.  If I buy the Ipad 4 will I be able to use it on a carrier even though it doesnt say specifically it is 4G in the title of the item?  Are all Ipad 4's able to be used on Verizon or AT&T?

    Amazon is not an authorized reseller for the iPad. All the iPads they sell are from affiliates and many if not most of those will also be unauthorized. I'd strongly suggest you buy only from an authorized iPad dealer. If you have an Amazon credit, make a deal with someone who wants to buy something they can get from Amazon. They can then reimburse you so you can go out and buy your iPad from a valid source.
    Regards.

  • AppleCare for iPad purchased from Amazon

    I'm about to buy a 64gb iPad Air and noticed that they're selling on Amazon for roughly £100 less than they cost if I bought it direct from Apple. If I bought the iPad from Amazon, would I still be able to buy AppleCare for it online or in the Apple store, as if I'd bought it from the proper Apple store?

    If it's AppleCare+ you mean, it doesn't matter where you buy the iPad, but it APP+ needs to be bought within 30 days of buying the iPad.  You need to buy it over the phone at the Apple store.

  • What gen is the current ipad?? is it 3rd or 4th? on amazon theres a variety, some say 4th

    thinking of getting an ipad but want to get most current... also when id the next ipad coming out??

    Could be either the 3rd or the 4th. I don't believe Amazon is an authorized Apple reseller so you'd need to contact whoever is selling the iPads through Amazon to be certain.

  • Open link with javascript via UIButton - Amazon widget

    Hi guys,
    I'd like to offer links to products on Amazon using the Amazon associates program, but all the links require Javascript and I dont really want to add a UIWebView just for this. Is such a thing possible?
    I'm wondering if its possible to open a link via a UIButton like this:
    [[UIApplication sharedApplication] openURL:[[NSURL alloc] initWithString:@"http://www.example.com"]];
    BUT via using an included javascript file, i.e. to make a link like the following but with a UIButton:
    <SCRIPT charset="utf-8" type="text/javascript" src="http://ws.amazon.com/widgets/q?ServiceVersion=20070822&MarketPlace=US&ID=V 20070822/US/imfoip-20/8005/6f95d841-8a9f-4e00-9bbc-db692d4cf04f"> </SCRIPT> <NOSCRIPT>Amazon.com Widgets</NOSCRIPT>

    Thanks

    Captivate 8 introduced the common JavaScript API which gets and sets Captivate variables for both SWF and HTML5 output in the same way.  You can read more about that here:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/captivate/using/common-js-interface.html
    Another great thing about Captivate 8, is that they exposed Captivate events to JavaScript.  So, for example, you can listen for when a user submits a quiz question and execute your own JavaScript when that submit event occurs.  Not only can you listen for this event, you also get information sent to you about that event... like what the correct answer was vs. what the student chose.  What I'd recommend is that you subscribe to the following events:
    CPAPI_QUESTIONSUBMIT
    CPAPI_INTERACTIVEITEMSUBMIT
    The event data sent back from the event will give you the information you need.  Download the sample project from the article to find out how to subscribe to these events.

  • IAd Producer and iBooks widget help

    Hello!
    I'm trying to use iAd Producer to create a drawing widget for an iBooks project. So far, I've been able to customize the standard drawing object and it works flawlessly on the iAd Producer Preview and in Safari, but not on the iOS Simulator nor the iPad.
    In the widget, there are 2 brush sizes available (small and large) and I'm trying to give visual feedback to the user, letting them know which one they selected. Initially I started with buttons but that didn't work because buttons don't have a style for on/off to let the user know that that button is selected.
    I switched to radio buttons, which works great on the preview but not the actual device. Here's the code I'm using:
    HTML:
    <label class="brushFrame">
    <input id="smallBrush" class="brush" type="radio" name="brush" value="small"><img src="assets/brush.png" />
    </label>
    <label class="brushFrame">
    <input id="largeBrush" class="brush" type="radio" name="brush" value="large"><img src="assets/brush.png" />
    </label>
    CSS:
    label.brushFrame > input.brush {
      display:none;
    label.brushFrame > input.brush + img {
      cursor: pointer;
      width: 50%;
      height: auto;
      position: relative;
      z-index: 1;
      transition: all 0.1s ease-in-out;
    label.brushFrame > input.brush:checked + img {
      opacity: 0.75 !important;
      z-index: 10 !important;
    Basically, the brush should become transparent when the user selects it and because it's a radio button, it will stay transparent until the user selects the other brush. The iOS Simulator and iPad are able to render all the CSS correctly, except for when the radio button is ":checked". Background: This is my first widget and I'm very comfortable with CSS but not JavaScript.
    How can I make this work?

    Many thanks for your reply patixa. Apologies for my incorrect typing of IDs, in my iAd code they do match.
    I have managed to resolve the problem as follows:
    All of my iAd content was originally on the Background layer. Placing the content on Page1 has resolved the problem.
    I'm not certain as to why the project worked in iAd producer preview/Safari/Widget preview but not in iBooks but no matter, switching to Page 1 solves it completely.
    I notice from a few of the problems people have posted that they have a similar situation and wonder if this might be something that would help them. I've not posted replies but wonder if someone more experienced might offer a view.
    Many thanks again to patixa, your kindness is greatly appreciated.
