Ipad bought in China to be used in Italy

Dear All,
I tried to find a discussion to answer my question alone but I didn't find the similar discussion, so sorry in case of the solution already exists.
I'm Italian and a Chinese guy friend of mine would send me as a present an Ipad3 (new Ipad) bought from the Apple store in China.
I don't want she waste her money in case of the device doesn't work in italy.
She told me asking to the apple store staff that it will have no problem using it in Italy . (the problem is just the warranty because it will be valid in china only)
The model will be
Ipad 3 Wifi + 3G - 16GB
What do you think about it?
Any suggestion if the device can has functional troubles here in Italy?
Of course I will use it with an italian SIM card.

Happy to help. One thing I neglected to mention is that you'll need an adapter to convert from the US-style plug on the AC adapter that comes with the iPad to the type of socket used in Italy. But the AC adaper handles all voltages, so you just need to convert the plug.

It only gives me the option of signing in and when I do that I get an error message telling me that either my user name or password for my email is incorrect; even though I have been using my correct my apple ID in the password entry area. My apple ID works for every thing else. Please, can you help in this case?

Consider where you are wriggling the charger (I suspect you mean the cable. Why does everybody refer to a cable as "the charger"?) and make sure all the contacts there are free from pocket fluff and such.

You have a 14 day return period for iPad bought from the Apple store so yes, you can take it back for a refund and buy the 3G version instead.

The US iPad Wifi + 3G bought from Apple or ATT is NOT network locked.
Stay clear of Verizon however as these have CDMA and not GSM radio.
(Effectively if you were to buy one from them you would simply have an overpriced WIFI model internationally)
There are just a very few places where the iPad is being network locked and that includes surprisingly the very competitive UK mobile services.
Specifically Orange (UK) is one - They block there subsidised iPad offerings for a minimum of three months then charge £20 for un-blocking !

Apple will NOT repair a US-purchased (made in China) iPhone in China even if you offer to pay for the repair. They must protect their hardware sales by asking you to purchase separate phones for each country you spend significant time in. If you spend 6 months in China and 6 months in US, two phones is the only solution they offer because, as I was told at the Apple Store this morning, "Apple is not a global company."

It is the same version. So the iWork package will work on both, but Siri will only work on the iPhone 4S. So you could dictate on that, and use iCloud to finish the document on your iPad (assuming you have both). Cheers

You can only purchase from the App Store in the country in which you are located and you must have a valid credit card that is registered to an address within that county. If you bought the iPad in China, but you live in another country, you have to change to your country's App Store.
Go to the App Store and tap on the featured tab. Swipe to the bottom and tap on your Apple ID. Them tap on View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go down to Country/Region and change the store to your country's App Store in that Setting.

Airplay needs to be enabled on ATV. Both need to be on the same network. Then you double tap (or swipe up) to bring up the multi-task bar and swipe (left to right motion) to get to the volume/brightness and airplay controls. Select ATV and toggle ON mirroring.

The 3G iPads bought in the US are not locked to a carrier. If you want to be able to use a local micro-sim when you get back to Armenia then get the AT&T version as they are GSM based and use micro-sim cards. The Verizon model uses CDMA technology, not sim cards, so because of that they are effectively locked.

Purchase an iPad 2 in China

I'm considering on purchasing an iPad 2 in Beijing, China this Friday.
I have a few questions for those who purchased the first generation iPad in China.
1. Does it have Youtube in it? I won't have any problem running Youtube because I can always install a VPN in the iPad.
2. Can you use other countries SIM Card? Let's say if I want to bring it to the US and I would like to use an ATT sim card.
