IPad calendar appts stuck in military time

I'm working on an iPad 2. My issue is with the calendar. The calendar itself is set in standard a.m./p.m. time, but it has reset the appointments to military/24 hour time. This can't be corrected by turning off 24 hour time, because its already off. If I am looking at the "day" calendar with the split screen, the right hand side shows the day laid out by the hour, in standard time, but on the left, the appointments are shown with military time. So if I am in the monthly calendar and I click on an appt, it will show "13:30 pm to 14:30pm" but when I go to edit the event it shows starts 1:30pm to 2:30pm. How can I fix this glitch?

Settings > Date & Time > 24-hour time -Off.
Also you might want to check time zone settings, and go into International and check the Region Format. Then do a reset of the phone by holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. That will restart the phone. This should correct it.

  • IPad calendar showing duplicates half the time

My iPad iCal shows duplicates of about half my calendar entries.  My calendars are Google calendar delegates, and I've never had any trouble with them syncing across my Macbook, Google account, or Android phone.  I do not use Mobile Me, and I have calendar syncing turned off in iTunes, so they should be syncing wirelessly through the google delegate.
So why does my iPad show duplicates half the time when my Macbook/phone/google don't?  Why are there duplicates only half the time?  How can I fix this without manually deleting and re-entering every event that shows up in duplicate?  (I can't just delete one of the duplicates - deleting one erases both.  If I re-enter it on my Macbook, it shows up as just one event, but it's a lot of work to do all of that manually).

    Settings > Date & Time > 24-hour time -Off.

  • IPad Calendar editing defaults to Cupertino time zone

When I go to edit a calendar entry on my iPad of an event that I created previously in Outlook on my work PC, the time zone becomes Cupertino, CA during the calendar event editing process.  I live in the Chicago (Central) time zone so the calendar event is moving back two hours when I go to edit any detail of the calendar entry on my iPad.  Yet when the calendar event entry is created on the iPad, it always remains in the Chicago time zone even during editing of the event details.  Has anyone else run into this and have found a fix for this?  Thanks.

I have two iPhones, a 4 and and 4S.  The 4 is my personal iPhone, the 4S is for business.  When I create a new calendar item in my 4 the default time zone in the Add Event dialog is ALWAYS Cupertino. Both phones are set to Timezone = Set Automatically and return New York (I'm in Charlotte, NC).  When I set the time of an event in the calendar on the 4 I set it with the local time zone start and end time.  But when it is saved it reverts to Cupertino time.  Fortunately, the reminders pop up correctly for my local time. My issue is that the same process done on the 4S saves the start and end time of the event as local time NOT Cupertino.  Why does the 4 iphone behave this way.  It is super frustrating.

  • Calendar app stuck on another time zone.

I left Nigeria for Kansas, U.S. that's 6 hours behind so I changed the time settings on my phone to KS time zone but the Calendar app on my 3GS doesn't seem to understand that. When I create an event for, say, 8 PM today (to be notified at that time), I get a notification at 2 PM today—6 hours before the intended time. It's like Calendar thinks I'm still in Nigeria. I've been all over Settings and I can't figure it out.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

There is more than one place to change time. If you set the time to local, you need to go into Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendar>scroll down to the bottom under calendar and set the time zone support there for the local time zone.

  • Everything is updated!!  iPhone, iPad, iTunes and MacBook Pro...  All I am trying to do is drag content from my iTunes Library to the devices.  iTunes gets stuck EVERY single time!  What usually triggers the Non-Sense is when I am adding a 2nd file!

    Why does iTunes SUCK??
    1) Many items greyed out in the menu bar, for well over 2 years, maybe more!
    2) I Can't drag more than one piece of content from your iTunes library to any device (iPhone, iPad)
If you do it gets stuck for HOURS and HOURS in "Preparing To Update" and the little activity circle never completes, ever!!
I used to be able to drag over 1000 tunes, movies, etc. go have breakfast come back and it would all be on my device!!
Can't do it anymore, one song at a time, maybe an album at a time, or one movie, and that is it!!
If you do a 2nd item the other items stop loading and never continue!!
This is so BAD, I don't understand how they don't have this fixed yet!!
Please tell me I am not the only one!!
...and If I am tell me how to fix it!
    Very appreciated,
    Joe

  • Military Time in Calendar?

Has anyone discovered how to use military time - 1500 instead of 3 pm - in Calendar?

Can't test it at the moment, but I think this old iCal/24 hour clock method will work if you use Languages, or what ever International was changed to...

  • Setting ipad calendar / time zones help?

    Hi,
We are new ipad users and are placing flight & hotel details in the ipad calendar for a once in a life time global 6 week trip.
The point of purchasing the ipad was so that we could contain the info in one device...the calendar appears to be the only spot for that (other than e mails).
I have been changing the time zone within the calendar days to suit the destination....and am very confused (not difficult!) about the results....
Is it okay to set the time zones in advance and while still in the UK or not?
    Thanks

When I create event on my iPhone only this iPhone and Outlook has correct time. By the way, creating the event I am checking if time zone is correct.
My local time zone is Moscow (which is gmt +3) at the moment. When created event on my iPhone is shown at correct time but if editing it shows Denver time. Same event synced to the other iPhone is one hour ahead and showing GMT+3 in description.
Hope it makes although it is very strange behavior.

  • How can I sync my ipad calendar to my g5?

I am new with Mac G5 and I want to sync my ipad calendar to my icalendar, I tried through itune but no luck, I don't get it, it works with my ipod 2nd generation. On my laptop pc it works great but it seems more complicate on Mac...I tried to install iCloud but G5 doesn's support so I am stuck, any help would be appreciated.
    TKS,

I don't get it, it works with my ipod 2nd generation.
That iPod is older and has less stringent system requirements than an iPad. They worked with older Macs and lower levels OS versions. You need a minimum of OS 10.5.8 to work a 2011/12 vintage iDevice. And, as you've discovered, iCloud requires OS 10.7
If you include your approximate geographic location in your profile, perhaps someone can offers suggestions for a vendor close to you. Apple no longer sells OS10.5 so you'll have to hit the murky third-party market for find it.

  • IPad Calendar Scroll

    Hi
I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this strange issue with the Calendar App on my iPad:
Basically, it no longer scrolls forward reliably in Week view:
    • A right to left swipe forward through time is ignored – unless it happens in the 'header' section of the week, where the dates and all day events are. Swipes in the 'middle' of the page don't register.
    • Swipes backward through time - left to right - do work, anywhere on the page.
    • It seems to be intermittent; mostly it's a problem in landscape orientation. Portrait usually works reliably backwards and forwards, and up and down (the left-right axis in landscape mode, of course)
    • Other apps are not affected - the BBC News app, for example, which allows R>L scrolling through stories, or Photos, which also allows R>L scrolling through pictures.
I've tried resetting my iPad - though I restored again from my last backup (possibly stupid of me…). I also deleted a Calendar event I entered last night, before the problem emerged - I wondered if this was corrupt in some way.
Anyone come across this issue? Could it be related to Daylight Saving (which is still a couple of weeks off)? Any clues would be appreciated!
    iPad 3, iOS 7.1.

hello Same annoying bug. The scrolling from right to left on landscape mode. to make it work you have to go right once an then left from anywhere on the page. Another solution that works fine for me is to scroll with the finger precisely from top the "Day" line (Monday, tuesday...) after a while I got used to it.
But for me the major problem with iPad calendar -which I hope is a bug- is not to be able to open a specific day from the month view by a single tap on the date of the day. Has anyone this problem too ? To go to the day, you have to tap on week and it opens on a random week which obliges you to scroll again to the day you want. Am I clear ? PLEASE APPLE FIX THAT ISSUE. it used to work great on iOS 6 !!!!!!

  • IPad calendar fails to synch with Mac mini

How can I fix a recent failure of iPad calendar to synch with Mac mini?  iTunes no longer saks me about ocnflicts between the iPad and the computer.

While waiting, I found the fix in another thread:
Open iSync on main computer with iPad attached and turned on.
    Choose "Reset sync history".
That is all there is to it.  The "Sync" still did not recognize two events scheduled for the same time, one in one sub-calendar on the iPad, and in another one on the Mac Mini.  I wound up with two choir practices, one in blue and one in pink on both devices.  Should it have noticed these and asked me about them?
I also read elsewhere that it messes up the iPad to change an event from one calendar sub-heading to another.  I will avoid doing that in the future.
