Ipad calendar list

My iPad calendar day, week and month views are correct (synced with google) but when I go to the list view the days are time shifted back 3 days. Anybody have insight regarding this?

Make sure your date and time are correct and then reset your iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the side On/Off switch until you see the Apple logo. It can take awhile and you have to keep holding through the "Slide to power off" announcement. Let go and your iPad will reboot. See if that solves it.

HT200196 iCal reminders are clogging up my computers, iPads and iPhone. When I view the Calendar list in iCal, it seems it has added a new calendar every time an event is added. I have a calendar list that has grown to over 100. How do I remedy this?

My laptop, iPad, and iPhone are being clogged by repeated iCal alerts. Every time an event is added, it seems another Calendar is also added. When I view the Calendar list in iCal, there are over 100...and the number is growing. They can not be deleted with a simple "Select all" or "Delete All" and, when deleted individually, the list quickly grows to huge numbers again rapidly. IPad Calendar - To Do List?

I am looking to buy an iPad. I am planning to primarily use the calendar functionality. When I went to check out the app I could not find the "To Do List" functionality that I currently use in iCal.
Am I missing something? Will this feature be available? Is their another app that will do the same thing?
Also, does anyone know if the drag and drop of iCal will eventually be part of iPad calendar?

Here is a simple workaround: Use the"alarm clock" on your reminder lists. Tap the alarm clock, to give you a scheduled activity list which you can prioritize by exclamation points: 3 for A, 2 for B, 1 for C. or how you wish to prioritize them. You can schedule a time and date as well, so you will receive a reminder at the appointed time. It is as close as you will get to a Franklin planner using Apple's calendar, reminder list, and contacts.
An alternative is the app Opus Domini. It is just like the Franklin planner in a digital format, works on my Ipad and phone. There is a free version and a paid version. My only issue is the screen is really cramped on the iphone version.

Calendar List and Day View

iCal in my iPad is actually more workable and readable than on my 27inch Mac now - ha ha - how crazy is that !!!
iPad has word wrapping in Day view so I can see all the details (in the Mac / Lion there is no wrapping grrrrr)
iPad I can touch an appointment in the calendar and get all the details pop up - in Mac/Lion all my calendars overlap and cover each other and even when I click an event it is still unreadable...
In Day view I cant see my calendar list until I click on the button to open the list of calendars - then I cant see my list of events.
We should be able to CHOOSE what we want to see.
In Day view - with the List on the left - I cant see all details of my events. With all the calendars open, they all overlap each other on the right and I cant see all the details there either - EVEN if I click the event, its still unable to be read.
If the LIST on the left had Wrapping, it would be awesome, so I could read all the details of my events in the list.
As soon as anyone knows how to sort any of these issues out, I will be MOST happy.
I wish I could go back to the old version of iCal which was perfect for me - this one makes life SOOOOO difficult. I have worked with it for 3 days and the limitations - I always used my iPad, iPhone and iMac - but the Mac calendar is now useless to me and I am having to use the iPad solely till it gets sorted out.....hopefully asap...?

It looks like I have found a solution - it is to do with the birthday dates - if you delete the year of any pre-1932 birthdays it solves the problem!

Need to sync my new iphone5 calendar to my ipad calendar

Here is what I hope is enough detail to assist in helping me sync my iphone5 calendar to my ipad calendar.
I have an ipad2 which is set up under my general family email address. I recently purchased my wife an iphone4S
and used the same email address to set up my wife's iphone.   The calendar on her iphone and the ipad calendar
sync fine when updated from either device.
I just purchased an iphone5.   The sales rep suggested that I set up a new user email login to prevent contacts from
being sychronized and mixed between my phone and my wife's phone.
I have two calendars set up on the ipad2 under the one email ID.     Home calendar and work calendar.
However, I can not seem to get my iphone5 to sync with either the home or work calendar on the ipad2. I suspect
it is because I used one email ID to set up the ipad2, and a different email address ID to set up my iphone5.
Is there a way that I can sync my iphone5 with the family's ipad2 without using the same email ID to set up my iphone5?
I do not want our address books to be intermixed from the two iphones.
I appreciate any assistance provided.

Okay.....I didn't wait long enough...typed "Test" in the calander app on the NEW iPad...it showed up on the old iPad and finally on the old iPhone....not on the New iPhone5....
After looking further into the iPhone5, I noticed there is no place, that I can find, for me to pick "from iPad". The choices that I have on new iPhone5 is "from my PC", "Exchange", and my email address. My new iPad isn't listed as a choice..... IDEAS????

I was wrong...it showed up on my new iphone, but not the old one...but the rest of the appointments that I have in my new iphone and old ipad are still not showing up on the NEW iPad....

IPad Calendar crash when trying to open March 2013

Everything I try to open March 2013 in iPad calendar it crashes. It is okay if I sneak through each week or go day by day but will not allow me to open the month of March! Any solutions?

Try removing any all-day events from the calendar for the 1st April 2013 e.g. if you are syncing the calendar from somewhere else (e.g. Outlook on a PC or iCal/Calendar on a Mac) then change it to a timed event instead of all-day (if you don't sync your calendar from anywhere then try going into list view, go to 1st April and change any 'all day' events to times e.g. change Easter Monday to start at something like 4am) - it seems that there is a problem with all day events on that date which is when the clocks change due to daylight saving.

IPad calendar not syncing to iCloud or iPhone

Recently, my iPad calendar stopped syncing with iCloud on my PC and my iPhone. I can sync from my iPhone to my iPad and iCloud and I can sync from iCloud to my iPad and iPhone... Just not from my iPad. Notes from my iPad sync fine to my iPhone and iCloud. I have all calendar setting set on "Home" calendar. I am at a loss to fix this nagging problem. What is the fix? Your help will be appreciated. Gary

Are you sure that you have the iCloud control panel downloaded and installed?
You should also check the iCloud add in. Click the File menu. Then click Options in the left panel of the Outlook window. Click Add-Ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window. Look at the list of add-ins beneath "Active Application Add-Ins" make sure "iTunes Outlook add-in" and "iCloud Outlook Add-in" are selected.
To add enable the add-ins, in the Manage box at the bottom of the Outlook Options window, select COM Add-Ins, and then click Go. In the COM Add-Ins dialog, navigate to the iCloud add in and and you should be able to enable them.

IPAD Calendar to PC Outlook events

i am unable to see my events i created in my ipad on my PC in outlook unless i select "Calendar" on the ipad however i have events loaded on my ipad which there is no "Calendar" listed as an option to select. it gives me other calendaers to select from but not the one i need to force the sync with my outlook. how can i add a calender to an existing event so i can edit the event to the right calendar?

Has this correction continued to work on syncs after that first one? Have you removed / deleted your other calendars forever? I need the info in those calendars for further use.

I don't know how you could test the app before you but it unless there is a demo version of it and I don't see one listed. I use on of Eurosmatrz other apps ... Save2 PDF and I know they have pretty good support. I emailed them about a couple of things before I bought the app and they got back to me straight away.

I just made iCloud calendar my default, IPad calendar disapeared?

I finally switched my iPad calendar to iCloud, mainly to have the ability to invite, however at some point - either when I switched iCloud calendar on, or when I made that my default calendar my standard iPad calendar disapeared?!?! I am not sure how to recover the info that is missing (HELP!)
Also, if I use the iCloud calendar will it automatically show up on our iMac & my husbands iPhone? & how do I'm make an additional iCloud calendar? & does anyone else's calendar open blank since last big software update? Not sure if this is still an issue after iCloud switch, AS MY EVENTS ARE ALL MISSING,!!

When you tap Calendars, do you get a long listing of calendars? One should be iPad. Getting all synced right the first time with iCloud took me a little time and work, but now all are there. And after entering an event, after entering the time, and tap Done then select the calendar to associate with. A couple more steps than before but seems to work for me.

Really? Why did they do away with that? Now the search button is really a search button. I relied on the list to see my week at a glance. Now, I only see one day at the bottom and it's hard to see. Help!

Unable to Read Calendar List Items through CAML

According to your post, my understanding is that you got an error when read calendar list items using CAML.
I created two single line of text columns in the Calendar( Year and Month), then add items in the Calendar to check with your code. The CAML query worked well as below.

Which type of the two columns in your Calendar? Were they text type?
Are you sure the field name(<FieldRef Name='Year'/>,
<FieldRef Name='Month' />) is same as internal name?
We should only use internal name while refrencing columns in CAML query. If you have space In you column , replace it with "_x0020_", such as
News_x0020_Category.

Save a calendar list as a template without data - not all views are getting saved

I have read plenty of articles showing how to save a list as a template and create a new list from that template. I have a very large calendar list that I want to save as a template. I do not need that data as it is last years. All I want to do is save it
as a template and create a new list for 2014 using that template.
Following the process, everything worked fine, but the template that got saved did not save all of the views. I have searched all over for a solution, but no luck. This calendar list has every user as a view, so there are a lot of views created.
Is there a limit for the number of views in a list that would be saved? How do i create a new calendar with the same views. I do not need that old data.

Email Notification on Calendar list Sharepoint Foundation 2013 not sending out email

Hi,
Actually i have 2 problem. I just don't have any idea how to solve them.
1 ) I have a machine installed with Windows Server2012 and Sharepoint Foundation 2013. Email invitation from system and alert me email is working fine. Then I created a few email sending workflow using sharepoint designer 2013. The email are going out fine
for list or document library but gave out error when i tried to send from Calendar list. The error is saying that the outgoing email is not configured correctly. If that was the case, should it be that i will receive error for all.
2) I have another machine with same installation as above but doesn't send out any kind of email(Invitation,alert me, SPD2013 custom worflow). I've checked telnet port 587, it is responding fine. I want to know if i need to open port in the firewall/router
settings for this port or if this issue is due to something else.
Any help is really appreciated.

I think this is the correct configuration because it sends emails normaly with SharePoint 2010.
If I configure my own email account in Outbound Security, Sharepoint 2013 sends emails but just when I login to Sharepoint, if other users login it doesn't send emails.

Get Calendar List Item GUID

I downloaded code for a reservation event receiver from here:

However, on the ItemUpdating it throws an "Object Reference Not Set to an Instance of an Object" error. By commenting out parts of the code and re-deploying I have narrowed the issue down to the line that gets the item's GUID:

When I modify it to something like "UniqueId" I get the "Value does not fall within expected range" error. Is there a better way to obtain the GUID of the calendar list item - or am I missing something? Full code below:

Please verify the internal name of column which you have hardcoded in the code i.e

I have used the Room reservation template from MSDN which has provided by MS under the code name of "Fantastic 40" along with below James Finn article.
